Texas Fence

I did like their proposal, very detailed, and the price is competitive. The reason I didn't use them is that my fence was down and I need it replaced immediately, but unfortunately they had a backlog. I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future.

Texas fence did a fantastic job on my fence install. Brian got back with me right away and made it a point to understand exactly what I wanted and provide some options and guidance. We originally wanted 7' high fence. After Brian visited, he made some recommendations and saved us some money. Once I picked which way I wanted to go, he sent over drawings, t&c and the pricing. I signed, they handed it to one of their project managers (who was fantastic), scheduled, showed up on time, and got it done. Everyone I dealt with including the office staff were super friendly and very helpful and made me feel like they truly valued my business. Very rare in this day and age. We ended up going with 6.5' privacy fence stepping down to 4' to match the height of the existing vinyl fence while still providing a view of the trees. The transition from 6.5 to 4 is beautiful. They managed to do this in between (or during?) the crazy rains we've been having over the last few weeks without providing much of a delay. 2 weeks prior when I scheduled them they estimated 1-2 days - and they completed the whole thing in 2 days (got rained out bad on the first day but still managed to get all of the posts set). When I came home on the second day you couldn't even tell they had been there. They closed up the gates, cleaned up their trash. The entire process from start to finish was fantastic and the fence is beautiful. I will be using them again in the near future for some additional fence work.

It was good and I like it. The price was the best. I used them because of the price and the attitude of the guy who gave the estimate.

They were very good. They showed up on time and were very clean. When they did the work, they cleaned up after themselves. They did a good job.

Their service was really good. They were quick. They had three people. I directed them a little bit on a couple of places, but they were good workers. They said they would take two days to do it, and they were in and out of here in one day, which was good.

In a nutshell, they built our fence using not the best workman. It took them almost a week to do the demolition. then when presented with the problems, they came out and totally removed the poorly built fence, posts and all, and completely rebuilt a second new fence, in about 2 days, this time using their A team. Fence was almost perfect.

I am extremely impressed with the Texas Fence Company's professional approach, service and end product. I found Texas Fence Company listed on Angie¹s List as having one of the highest ratings with solid reviews for the services they provide and the results they achieve. My experience fully supports the comments I read and in fact amplifies them. From the initial contact I knew I might pay a little more, but the experience would be exceptional. The very next day after I left a request for quote, A company rep contacted me and set up an appointment. The day of the appointment the surveyor/project manager, Dave Lisner, arrived on time and from those first moments I knew I was dealing with professionals. Dave Lisner walked me through their process and went directly to work. The estimate he developed was well defined, clear and concise. My job task was not an easy one either. My interest in replacing my fence got the interest of my adjacent neighbors. The resulting complexities were well within Dave¹s capabilities. In total four homeowners became involved. When the day came to demo the exiting fence and start building the replacements the work crews arrived on time. At the end of the job the price I paid was that what was quoted, the new fence (mine and my neighbor¹s) looks terrific, and the work site was thoroughly cleaned. The job was very well executed. The work crew's professionalism, dedication to quality, and "good housekeeping² are solid reminders why Texas Fence Company receives such excellent ratings. Dave, the crews who worked many long hours and the office staff I encountered all represented what "Getting the Job Done Right" is all about and set a great standard for excellent customer service. Would I use them again -Absolutely! Will I tell everyone who asks about a fence company about Texas Fence Company - no question.

I need to replace a 140' dilapidated fence around my residential property. Texas fence co. Came in with the lowest bid. David was great. My neighbor requested some last minute changes to the design and they bent over backward to accomodate the requests and still meet schedule. They were quick and the 6 ft cedar fence looks great. Would recommend to anyone.

The initial contact, sales people, estimate all went very smoothly. But when the installer arrived, he did not have all the information details from the sales people and a few things were done incorrectly (wrong fence height for one section, wrong gate lock style, missing finials, crooked gate installation) at first and three trips were needed to finish the job. Additionally, the gate latch failed after about a month and needed to be repaired. So that is four trips to install about 20 feet of fence. That being said, the company itself was very responsive and the final result is satisfactory, but I don't think this particular contract installer did as professional of a job as either ourselves or the Texas Fence Co. expected. I would consider using Texas Fence Co again, but I can not give them an A rating.

I waited two years before purchasing my fence, because I knew it would be a big job and I wanted it done right. The work started on a Thursday, the workers did not arrive until after 11:00. I return home at 17:00 and found that they were using damage wood on my fence. I found several pieces that were not straight; one rail had a knothole that consumed 75% of the rail. Out of the two workers only one spoke English so I had to wait until he returned to address the issue. At 18:30 the two guys were installing pickets in the dark, the only light was from the street light. Day two again the workers arrived after 11.00. About 14:00 I received a phone call from Karen informing me that I should expect an invoice today or Monday, I informed her that the work has not been completed. She assured me that the work would be completed that Friday. This statement upset me to the point that I asked to speak to the owner. I revived a phone call from Mr. Silver who assured me that he would take care of ALL my concerns. He stated me that the work would be done before noon on Saturday. When I returned home Saturday from work the work had not been completed and the workers were gone. I had several discrepancies; The base boards had gaps underneath them that should have been filled in with dirt. There was trash left behind by the workers. There was dirt mixed with concrete left by each post. I received a call from my neighbor, asking me to remove the gate that the workers left behind against his fence. The gate was installed with a gape that left the top flush and the bottom sticking out. This remains currently. When they installed one of the posts for the fence they cut my electrical wires for my sprinkler system & broke four sprinkler heads. I have an electrical outlet attached to my old fence the techs misplaced the cover for the outlet leaving the inserts exposed to the elements. I called Trey Burgess who again assured me, along with Silver that my concern would be taken care of. On Monday, Robert the sprinkler repair person can and did an outstanding job on the repairs for the sprinkler system. They filled in most of the gaps on the baseboard and left me three bag of soil to complete the rest. The dirt with the concrete was still left behind for me the remove. It was not until Thursday that they attempted to repair the gate; however the gap (poor alignment) still exists. All they did was reinforced the gate, they didn?t fix the alignment. I revived a call again this time from Trey; he seemed upset that payment was not paid in full. I was waiting for the gate to be repaired; I called Karen and gave her my card information so the rest of the payment could be made. I informed her that I did not want any workers to return to my home, I will have the fence gate adjusted. Mr. Silver text me with a message saying that the gate was repaired on Thursday. I had no indication that the work was done because the gap in the gate is still present today. Payment: Karen made a transaction on my card; the balance was $3,807.00. She first made the transaction in the amount of $2,415.87; she then made another transaction for $3807.00 and voided the first transaction. My bank called me immediately thinking they were fraudulent charges. I am retired sailor & currently an engineer I believe that there is a process for everything Texas Fence failed me as a customer on all levels. I know my job was a big one that is why I knew that it was not going to be cheap. I did not think that after paying top dollar for the job that I would have theses many problems. This will be a Christmas that I will always remember.

They were superb! They were neat, on time, and reasonable on price.

The estimate process went fine. Quote was for #2 or better cedar pickets put on 4x4s on 6 ft centers. Only about 6 of the 24 posts were actually on 6' centers and many of the pickets had 12 or more knots marring the look of the fence. Requested that they replace 52 of the pickets and one split board one of the gates. Finally returned to replace the pickets and many of the replacement pickets were worse that the ones already on the fence, and did not bring the board for the gate saying they would return with that one because they forgot to bring it. After several days and requests from Texas Fence for final payment, I called stating I had not gotten all of the pickets replaced as of yet and would not pay until completed. Finally brought the board for the gate but still have a lot of really ugly pickets that will not be replaced. Was told #2 did not have a knot limit but thats not what I have found on cedar rating. Not very happy with work, but paid any way. Update: Shortly after posting above review, received a call from TF quality /cust serv rep. He came out, looked at fence and agreed that many of the boards were subpar. We counted about forty boards for replacement and when workmen came to install we got to inspect boards before installation. Still not the fence I wanted but evidently I didn't do enough research on the quality of boards. I feel the salesman should have described the differences in quality and provided pricing for each. I would have paid for the better quality if I had better info.

They gave me quote right away but I did not use them

This was first class. They came out on time for the estimate and came out on time when they torn down old fence and install new. This project took one day. Very professional and very satisfied on how it looks.

Trey came out and met with me and measured everything. As we talked my confidence in their company grew and I expanded the work to be done. It was less expensive to have as much of the fencing as I could do at one time rather than do it piecemeal later. So the first 150 linear feet was paid for in the Big Deal. I added more fencing on that side of the property, plus a walk in gate and the other side of the property plus a 16 foot double drive through gate. Since we have 3 acres I was not fencing in the entire property but I feel like the area that was fenced was exactly what we needed at a good price. They did a beautiful job! The fence is 6 feet high cedar with a 1x6 rot board at the bottom. It is very good looking and gives us 6' 6" of privacy.

They did a great job. The workers were extremely courteous, prompt, and the work site was clean every day.

the bid process was fine and the estimate was timely but they were about $1,000 more than another company offering a better make of gate, fence and power. The pickets and rail sizes were smaller than the competition yet they quoted a higher price.

Although there were several people (different departments: sales, accounting, etc), I really did appreciate the good communication. They did a fine job.

Texas Fence was very professional and punctual when it came to giving an estimate, sending the contract and accepting our deposit. I was told that scheduling was approximately 3 weeks out. After 4 weeks, I contacted them and was told "sometime the week of August 11"(week 5). On August 12th, I called and was told they would begin on August 13 and was given a promise that they would call if unable to do so. Late on August 13, no workers and no call. I called and was told the work now would be on August 15 and 16. It is approaching mid-day on the 15th - no workers and no call. It is understandable that projects are sometimes delayed. It is completely unacceptable to not take a moment and call. They showed up today and have been very pleasant and helpful. looking forward to seeing the work completed so I can change my review rating. Update - Once they started the work, they were very helpful and responsive. I would recommend Texas Fence, however I would expect to initiate a few phone calls to the scheduling department to stay informed.

Overall everything went fine. They were very prompt, they came out as scheduled and they did a good job.

I was very pleased with everyone from Texas Fence Company that I came in contact with. My only disappointment was in finding out that the fence I was purchasing would be a special order, taking 5-6 weeks to come in. I was not told that until after I had paid my deposit. I voiced my concern, however, and was pleasantly surprised when my fence was ready to be installed after only 3 weeks.

The best overall experience- Texas Fence may not be the lowest bid but you get more than what you pay for in my opinion

Initially we did not get a bid in a timely manner. After bringing this to their attention, we got a call the next day. Since then we have received prompt, thorough, responsive, calls and emails. They have worked very hard to earn our business. Their prices are competitive and they appear to have good quality materials, and educated salespeople. I have no doubt if we use them they will do a great job.

Team are very professional and polite, price was a little on the higher side, but they were 1 of a few that could do all the work instead of hiring 3 seperate contractors to Install & Paint Fence, Paint Iron & Paint Balcony. They did an excellent job and keep my property clean and free of trash etc. My only compliant would be I had to most of the chasing to get this work complete as I paid the Deposit in late April and work was not complete until 2nd week of June.
