A number of years back we used a fence company that a friend worked for and ended up with a poor quality product. For that reason we were very cautious in selecting a fence company and went to Angie's List. After looking at the choices we chose Texas Fence based on it's excellent reviews. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Texas Fence is an excellent company. They were very prompt in giving us a quote for the work. We signed the agreement, placed the deposit, waited on the utility companies to mark all underground lines, and then waited on the install date. Although the weather wasn't very cooperative, we did have to wait a few days extra, their office was very efficient and courteous in keeping us apprised of the project status and rescheduled us On the earliest available date. The workers showed up on time, removed the old rotten fence within minutes and started staking and measuring for the reinstall. The crew worked nonstop from start to finish and we got an excellent built fence, that exceeded our expectations. The cleanup was excellent as there were no nails, pieces of wood, or anything left behind on the job site after they finished. Over all it was an excellent experience and we would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get a new fence, or a replacement.

The job was completed in 2 days as quoted. The look of the new fence, the complete clean-up of all old material and the promptness of the installers was excellent. The project manager was very attentive to make sure we were satisfied as the work progressed.

After looking on Angie's List, we contacted Texas Fence to come and give us a quote. Roman was scheduled to come out 4/21. Houston got some really bad flooding on 4/18 and he called on 4/19 to reschedule which was completely understandable. We rescheduled to 4/28. He then called on 4/28 because he needed to reschedule. We rescheduled for 5/5 at 9am. On 5/5, he texted me needing to reschedule AGAIN! After going back and forth, he changed the time to 1pm. He showed up on time and was nice and professional when he came out. My neighbor also had Roman measure his fence so he could get a quote and maybe do both of our fences at the same time. Roman said he would have a quote for us both by 5/9. Well, it is now 5/22 and no quote, email, phone call or text. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed as is my neighbor. When I pick a company from Angie's list, I expect a certain level of customer service and professionalism. Texas Fence did not meet that with this experience.

Texas Fence was responsive to my inquiry and produced a very competitive bids. It took about 3 weeks for the material to be ready for installation. The installation went very smoothly. The two gentlemen who did the work were professional and made sure that the fence was perfectly straight and level. They measured and re-measured to make sure of that. They were careful when they dug to put the posts in and when they found a gas line they immediately got me and gave me the solution. The fence looks great, even better than we hoped. We would highly recommend Texas Fence and will certainly use them for any future fence work.

Texas Fence was one of three companies that we got estimates from to replace a portion of our cedar privacy fencing. They were not originally the lowest priced estimate, but they agreed to meet - and beat - my lower estimate for the same type of fence. From the beginning, their service was outstanding. They came quickly (and promptly) to measure my yard and even drew a to scale layout of the work to be done to assure that we understood everything included in the pricing. (Others only gave me a written estimate with no diagram.) They were very helpful and professional, and discussed exactly the type of materials to be used and how the work would be done. The fence turned out GREAT and I have received follow up calls to ensure that I was happy with the result. I would highly recommend Texas Fence Company and will use them in the future for any work needing to be done.

Work was completed in a professional and timely manner. Minor problem discovered after initial work completed. After bringing problem to co.'s attention, problem was resolved the very next day. Very good people to work with. Have used before, and would use again.

I purchased the deal on Angie's list for 6-foot of cedar privacy fence (up to 50 feet) and a gate for $1449. From start to finish, everything went great. They were very professional and would call and email with updates the entire way through. It looks great and I couldn't be happier.

We bought a Big Deal on cedar privacy fence. We were contacted promptly and were able to have the fence installed on the date that we wanted. The crew removed our old fence and gate and installed new cedar fence and gate. They had to work around 2 phones lines, cable TV line, and a gas line. The new fence looks great and Texas Fence Co was very good about answering all our questions. Definitely would hire them again.

I did quite a bit of research picking a fence company. It was a frustrating process...as any man with a truck can go by fences at Home Depot I had heard several horror stories of a fence company taking the 50% downpayment and never showing up again. ....Angie's List produced about 6 companies to consider. After weeks of due diligence, design ideas, bidding, etc. I chose to work with Texas Fence. Angie's List gave them a good recommendation....but what made me finally choose this company was their BBB membership. Very FEW of the fence firms are associated with the BBB. Texas Fence sent David out to get measurements and discuss the design. Instead of adding a 'puppy bar' to the bottom of the gate/fence I asked if I could change rail spacing dimensions to 3" increments rather than the standard 4". He said yes, and that would negate the need for a puppy bar. Changing from 4" to 3" made this a custom gate, but they did not charge me any more--much appreciated. David really knew about fences as well as general home security experience (he had been a law enforcement officer for many years). David also had in his truck design samples of the finials (the fence topping). I liked the 'fleur de lis style'--which was also added at no extra cost. He made a recommendation to upgrade to a stronger deadbolt type lock--which was added expense but turned out to be worth the money. Texas Fence was not the lowest bidder. However I really trusted them to do a good job--and they did. The office staff also had their act together--prompt responses to questions, scheduling, billing etc. Texas Fence also has a year warranty. I found this company professional and truly concerned about customer service. I recommend Texas Fence as a company you can trust.

Texas Fence Co. did a great job, the crew showed up early and worked the entire day. They kept the work areas clean and tidy as they progressed through the process, I was very pleased with that. I would recommend Texas Fence Co. to anyone in the market to purchase new fencing. It went well. I contacted them to make some adjustments to two of the three gates and they did a great job!

Texas Fence Company did a fantastic job. Jay Mayfield worked closely with me to ensure they installed exactly the style and quality fence I wanted. The work crew was punctual, skilled, and professional. We couldn't be happier with our fence and Texas Fence Company's performance.

The only negative was that they were busy,and couldn't get to it for about 4-5 weeks, but that is how it goes with businesses, so we were understanding. The fence looks great. There is a good, strong base board, and quality workmanship. It was put in with nails, and we were thinking it would be screws, but we didn't check on this prior to installation. Maybe nails are standard. They were quick, cleaned up well, and we are very happy.

I believe they came out in October. The fence was okay but one of there workers hit a gas line and caused a lot of damage, my backyard got tore up. They tried to fix it what they could but it's still not as it was before so. I would give them an A on the workmanship but as far as handling the problem that came up I wasn't too pleased. They were competitive with their pricing.

I called to schedule a quote. The Office staff took my name, number, address, and email. They told me they would pass this on to the sales staff and they would contact me within 24-48 hours. I heard from them the next morning. The sales rep said he was in the area and could he come by. I said yes. 11/2 hours later he called and said he was in my backyard. He was not but 5 houses away in someone else's backyard. Once he arrived at my house he explained he had been mistaken about being in "the area". He actually had been out in Katy area not the Humble area. He further explained that they didn't do much work in this area but were wanting to. I asked why he just didn't call to let me know he was in Katy and reschedule. He was leaving town on a trip and would be gone for awhile (a grandchild's birthday). I wondered why he was even doing the quote. He measured the fence and said he would get a quote to me after he returned from his trip. I asked if he would answer some questions for me like materials used, type of construction used, scheduling expectations, company policy and procedures. He tried but could not answer all my questions and some of his answers concerned me. For example: responding to my concerns about the size of the project and scheduling he suggested that they could just get a couple of their "site cleaners" to do such a small project. For me there is a difference in skills between cleaning a site and building a fence. He left me with his card and I was feeling very comfortable with our interaction. About a week later I got a quote via email. It was very professionally presented but it was for 15 feet of fence not 10.5 feet. A few days later I got a thank you letter for allowing them to give me a quote. My email contact was more professional than the sales rep. But the difference left me feeling uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the sales rep is a good representation of Texas Fence Company, especially with all their good reviews. Consequently I went with someone else.

I recently had my entire fence replaced by Texas Fence Co. The entire process was professional & exceeded my expectations. The salesman was polite & informative without being pushy. The removal & installation crew did a great job without destroying exiting landscaping; lighting; and underground sprinklers. When I contacted them 1 year after the job was completed about a small issue, they responded quickly & resolved the issue completely at no additional charge. I recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence.

I obtained three estimates, all of which were comparable in price though not in quality or height of wood . Also, of the three, Texas Fence Co's proposal included making arrangements for a utility locating service to mark my yard at no additional cost. I had many questions before signing the contract, to which Texas Fence's representative was very prompt and thorough in his response. There was no high pressure sales pitch and no pressure to get my name on the dotted line, which I appreciated. Once the contract was signed, I received an email regarding timing of the installation, the name of my project manager, when to expect the utility locating service to come out, and that the project manager would contact me approximately one week before the job was to begin. I needed this bit of advance notice. The time was approaching and the project manager called me, but instead of the installation date being about a week away, he told me Texas Fence would be out the following day to install the fence. This was a problem. I told him that it would be impossible, and he offered another date a week away. We agreed to that date while on the phone. The following week arrived and the agreed upon date arrived and my date was a no-show. I called him and he said that he did not have me on the books for that day, but for the following day, Friday. This was ok, except for the fact that rain was expected for the weekend, and the installation was to take 2 to 3 days. The installers, who were very polite and professional, showed up on time on Friday, but only worked for 4 hours. They came out Saturday but because it was about to rain, said they were going to leave but would come back out if the rain stopped. The rain stopped within a couple of hours but the installers did not return. They were coming on Sunday but had truck problems so they had to cancel. They did return on Monday and got down to serious business. By the end of day, they were finished. The fence is beautiful, very sturdy, and smells so good. There were a couple of small problems that needed some attention. As soon as Texas Fence was notified, they returned and fixed the areas immediately and to perfection. The fence is stellar and is the work of topnotch professionals. I am so pleased with the overall experience, despite the scheduling hiccups which were not significant in the overall scheme of purchasing and installing a fence. I highly recommend Texas Fence Co. and would use them again. A couple of my neighbors have already contacted me about my fence and the company that did it. It really is beautiful.

My relatively simple fence job consisted of demolition of 100 ft of chain link fence and replacing it with 75 ft of 6ft 6in cedar (with cap and trim) and 25 ft of ornamental wrought iron fencing. I obtained quotes from six reputable and highly recommended companies from both Angie's List and NextDoor. Amongst these six companies, the highest reviewed on Angie's List seemed to be the hardest to get ahold of - Texas Fence (#1 on Angie's List) was fairly painful to get to return my phone calls and get someone out to my property to quote the work. Heck, the #2 company on Angie's List never returned my 3 phone calls. After this initial lack of communication, thinks improved drastically with Texas Fence. Their quote was very competitive, and beat out the next lowest bidder by ~10%. They required a 50% deposit up front, and it took approximately 4 weeks for all of the materials to arrive (pre-fabricated wrought iron panels). A week prior to the expected installation date, I got a call from another person at Texas Fence (different guy than initially did my quote) saying they would be out on Wednesday of this week, possibly even Tuesday if they got done on the previous job early. I left my house for an hour long lunch on Tuesday and by the time I got back, the crew had arrived, completely demo'd the chain link fence, and was in the process of digging post holes. While I was happy with the early start, I would have really appreciated a call from the job supervisor or main office to advise me of a start time. The crew consisted of two workers, neither of which I would call a crew chief or supervisor. At the end of the first half day, they left my old 100 ft chain link fence in my front yard overnight, which I thought was a bit poor form considering it could've been hauled away on the trailer that day. The next day they arrived about an hour later than what they said would be their start time, but started right away, finished up the job, and then drove off without saying a word - not even a "bye" or a quick walk-through of the work. The cleanup by the crew was poor in my opinion. I spent over 2.5 hours after they left cleaning up my property to what I feel was an adequate condition. They left an entire fence's worth of vines in my neighbors yard, which should have been hauled off with the rest of the chain link fence. There were piles of dirt EVERYWHERE from the post holes, which was an annoyance for me on such a small lot in the city with no need for all of that dirt. I have a very small strip of grass in my backyard, and it was completely covered in ~2 cubic yards of packed down dirt / clay. I had to move all of this dirt to ensure my little bit of grass didn't die. There was dirt caked on to my freshly pressure-washed driveway, and sawdust all down my driveway / sidewalk. Nothing a leaf blower, broom, and The crew left without mentioning when my fence would be stained. This was the day before Thanksgiving, so I called the office and didn't expect anyone to answer (even though their crews are working that day). A calling service answered and seemed to have no idea when they would be back in the office, when my call would be returned, or anything about Texas Fence. Why not just have a voicemail? All in all, I am happy with the construction of my fence, but several of the above items makes me skeptical of the 'A' rating on Angie's List. The price was right, but the small details of a true 'A' rating were missing.

This whole experience has been a disaster. We chose Texas Fence because of all the positive reviews on Angie's List. I don't know if they have had a recent change in ownership but our experience has been nothing like what has been described in other reviews. They required a large deposit up front to start the project, approx. 3,000.00. Our job was scheduled to start 10-5. my neighbor removed the existing fence. After no one showed up on that day. we called them and found that our job was never scheduled and moved to Thursday 10-9. They finally showed up around 12 on the ninth, and started on the front fence. This is after I explicitly told them to do the side fence first. Than after the installer told me that they were going to do the front fence first and didn't know when they would do the side fence. Wow. I soon found out my neighbor told the installer that he wasn't ready for the side fence to be installed. So they rescheduled the entire job without telling me, even though I am the one paying for the job. A phone call would have solved this whole issue, but I never got one. In the end, the communication and service were poor. A few weeks after the fence was finally complete, Trey called me, apologized and explained the scheduling problems. The one positive I will give this company is the quality of the work was excellent.

I needed a new fence to replace an ivy-damaged fence. I looked at the reviews for several fence companies and chose Texas Fence based on reviews and the deal they were offering. I purchased the deal online on 8/17/2015 and received a message online the next day letting me know that someone from Texas Fence would contact me in 24-48 hours, which they did. I scheduled an appointment for later in the week for an on-site visit. Roman arrived at the scheduled time, measured my fence, and let me know that I would receive a proposal online that evening or the next day. After the proposal was sent, Roman called me to let me know that the proposal should be in my inbox and I could call him if I had any questions. After discussing the proposal with my neighbors, I called Roman to request a change. Both in person and over the phone, I found Roman to be very professional, polite, and personable. The entire proposal process was completed online using DocuSign -- very easy. The new fence wasn't installed until almost a month later on 9/19/2015 because we needed to reschedule several times due to rain. Finally, the week of 9/13-9/19 looked like it would be rain free, so I called Texas Fence on 9/14 to get on the installation schedule for that week. I didn't receive a return call, but a crew showed up on the morning of 9/19 to do the work. Luckily I was home. The crew was great. They did an outstanding job of removing the old fence (with ivy still attached on my neighbor's side) and building the new fence. The workmanship was top notch and the quality of the fence is superior to the old fence. Also, the crew cleared away every bit of debris. I'm very pleased with my fence and wouldn't hesitate to hire Texas Fence Company again..

In the end the fence is a good quality, however it was a very frustrating experience getting phone calls returned and getting a date when they could install the fence. Once they got the down payment all communication dropped off.

Our entire fence was replaced with western red cedar. Lorenzo and his partner worker diligently thru 2.5 days. He answered all my questions. The fence on the breezeway was on cement. They took out the old metal brackets that were bolted in. They got out all the bolts without damaging the concrete. This time we put in metal posts on the concrete so they wouldn't rot. They cut the bottom board to the contour of the cement which we appreciated. The cement they put around the posts could have been a little smoother. The clean up was excellent. . There was no damage to our lawn. I wished I would have asked about which side the gate would open because I would have changed that. Also there is not very much clearance between the gate and the ground. So I hope the gate doesn't ever sag. But Overall very pleased!

They were woderful. It only took one day and they were very professional. My yard was probably clearner than it was before they came. All depris was removed and hauled off. The fence looks great. If you are considering a new fence I would diffintely give Texas Fence Company a chance to bid the job. A+ from this customer.

Everything went great. They did the service very, very well. The entire job only took about 2 days from start to finish. While we were waiting for the gate to be fabricated, we were receiving updates from them and knew when to expect the work to be started. While they were not the most inexpensive quote, we went with them because, from reading reviews, we were confident that they would give us the quality we wanted and surely enough they did.
