The job went very well and I was completely satisfied with the experience. I will definitely use Troy again for other jobs I have.

The job went great. The building is old (condo) and many surprises were encountered. That is the usual contractors chance to really make extra money; however, Troy adapted to the problems and charged reasonably for them. It reached the point that I really didn't ask how much it would cost; rather, asked that it be done. We found creative solutions to problems and the results are well above average. I still have some "finishing touches" and will have T&E come back to do those as well. Overall a much low stress experience than planned.

Overall, the experience was absolutely stupendous, as usual. I've used his services for many different projects. All of the wiring underneath the deck and cabling on top were protected and secured, and re-laid after the job if needed. Our deck does not flood anymore, and it's still as solid as the day it was installed.

One of the best qualities about Troy is that he was always very punctual--most of the time he arrived early for our appointments. It is so nice not to have to wait for your contractor. Troy was able to give me an estimate on the spot. He broke it down by room, so I knew exactly what I was paying for. He was also flexible with the scope of work. I had a couple rooms in the house that originally I wanted to re-paint entirely. After I was able to match the old paint color at the paint store, I decided a touch-up was all that was needed, and Troy reduced the overall price accordingly. After he touched it up, I decided I wanted to paint the whole thing, and he adjusted it back to the original agreed upon price. The cost of his services was pretty reasonable. It was not the lowest out of the quotes I received, but pretty close to the lowest. The paint job was good, but it took longer than I had hoped because he only staffed 2 people on the job. The door was also mounted nicely. It was an 8 foot solid wood door and they were able to get it on straight and paint the door frame. I would definitely recommend.

have a light over my front door that is very high and requires an extension ladder therefore I couldn't change it myself. Troy was prompt, professional, and actually went above and beyond because he found a wasps nest while he was up there and took care of it for me. I actually paid him more than he asked because the services were worth it - don't think I've ever done that before.

Troy was a professional from start to finish. He came out promptly to give me an estimate in early March. I told him that I was going to have a couple of other job estimates done and then I would have to wait for HOA approval on whomever I chose. He understood completely. The three other companies never even came out to give me an estimate. I called Troy on this past Sunday (4/10) and he said that he would be out at noon on Monday (4/11). He showed up on time and work began immediately. It was just him and his assistant and they got the work done at 6:45 p.m. My husband and I went out periodically to check on the progress and to make sure the job was to our specifications. Troy and his assistant were always courteous and jovial. He would have hauled away all scraps but my boss had asked for the scraps. Troy was kind enough to pile it up in one central spot. Before departing, Troy assured me that in the event of a problem, he would be glad to return. My dogs still dig, but now they can't get out because the paver stones straddle the fence line. The fence looks great and I hope it will last for years to come. I will definitely use T & E Home Improvements for handyman work around my house.

I called Troy on Monday requesting a quote to build a new gate on the side of my house. He said he'd call me back Wednesday to get my address. He called back and I met him Wednesday afternoon at the appointed time. He took measurements and gave me a quote. He came out Thursday afternoon to set the posts, and completed the work Friday afternoon, as promised. He was very prompt, professional and cleaned up afterwards. He did what he said he would do - big plus! Troy even fixed up the border around my shrubs after completing the fence, which was completely unnecessary. I most certainly will be calling Troy again! First rate job!

As usual, Troy and his co-worker David were excellent from start to finish. Punctual, professional, excellent workmanship, quality materials ... all at a very reasonable price. I wish the neighborhood Association had contracted T&E to replace the 'common area' fences destroyed by Hurricane Ike. I am actually going to contact Troy for various 'handyman' help in the next couple of days.

These guys are very professional and responsive. They showed up on time, did the work, and cleaned up well when finished. Also, they were able to match the paint, which was an issue considering that the last general painting was done 4-5 years ago. Also, relatively dust resulting from the drywall repair.

What a nice man. Very good humored and polite.This is the second time I have hired him.and this time he worked already for two days and is coming back tomorrow.

Troy returned my call promptly and showed up as promised both for the estimate and for the work. The primary thing I wanted him to do was to partially demolish a wall and add new sheetrock to the remaining area. THis was to enlarge a room. He and his worker, carefully cut holes into the exixting sheetrock to see what was in there tather than just break it down. Good thing too as there turned out to be some huge pipe in the wall. So, they repaired it and no problem. They repaired two sets of French doors so they would operate effectively. Just left word for him to call me for some more things on this new (to me) and badly maintained condo.

I am very pleased with the work that Troy did for us. He was personable, professional and knowledgeable. He came fully prepared for the job, which I appreciated because I thought I had what I needed to do the job, but he had better supplies to support the weight of the mirror. In addition, he was more reasonably priced than the other handymen I contacted for the job. I would definitely trust T&E to come do any odd jobs around the house for me again.

My wife and I recently bought a 30 year old house. After moving in, we felt that the existing attic ladder was unsafe and decided to replace it. It was made of wood and the legs had cracks in them. I went to my local home center and purchased a new one. I initially decided to install it myself, but after much grief, pain, and hassle, I decided it would be best to pay someone else to do it. The new ladder did not properly fit into the existing opening in the ceiling. The hole in the ceiling was not square or level, etc... I am an engineer (stress analyst more specifically) by trade and very safety conscious. I decided it would be best and safest to tear out and then re-frame the opening in the ceiling. I went as far as to design a new ceiling opening and create a set drawings (10+ pages) of how I wanted the opening re-framed to meet and exceed the strength and safety of the attic ladder manufacturer's installation instructions. I provided Troy and David with the set of drawings and they were still willing to work with me. How often does that happen to a handyman?! During the job, they stopped multiple times along the way to make sure that what they were doing was what I wanted. In summary, I am very satisfied with their work, quality, and their willingness to work with me.

Troy and his team did a great job in the home we bought. As others have mentioned, he does very good work and is very good with communication. He was always available by cell or text. His pricing is competitive, and we never felt like we were getting a snow job on some of the things he recommended. I've already recommended him to friends and would not hesitate to use him again.

It went extremeley well. Troy came out and gave us a bid the day after I called him. I was very impressed with his professional, and friendly manner. He was able to give me the bid immediately. He had several jobs going so he said he would come out and demolish the old fence the following day, and complete the job on Friday. Excellent job on the fence and gate. The front of the fence is attached to an old wall that is leaning slightly. Troy was able to build the fence in a way that disguises the angle of the wall. I would definately hire Troy again for any home improvement project.

Job was completed on time. The quality and service was excellant.

I called Troy in the morning and ask for him to install a ceiling fan.He said he would and would call about 2 pm.He called back in about an hour and ask if he could come by sonner. I said yes, and he came by and installed the fan.

When I called him, we set up a day and time that was covenient for both of us. He met with a friend of mine because I had to return to Illinois. My friend was very pleased with the quality of the repairs. Since I am new to the area, Angies List was all I had to go with. I am very pleased with my experience.

Mr Jenkins came to the house and gave us an estimate on Friday, and we accepted it on Saturday. The work was done on Monday. Mr Jenkins and his assistant started at 7:30 am and worked with only 1 real break until 8 pm, completing all the work in one day. They were pleasant and professional, and our shed looks wonderful.

I called Troy (T&E) as I have learned to do anytime I have a problem around the house. He can do almost anything a home owner needs done. He was very involved on several large jobs delayed due to the recent storms. He promised to come by and take care of it as soon as his schedule would allow. 2 days later he called and told me he could come by the next morning. He and his assistant arrived, reviewed the situation and said they could amend the problem. The assistant re-adjusted the door while Troy went to the store to buy some hardware. In 15 minutes our door was straight and secured. Troy really does appreciate repeat customers - he didn't charge us anything. We will continue to call Troy. I think everyone should.

After having a wonderful experience the first time I never received callback when asking for a similar job.

Troy provided me a reasonable quote earlier (in April) with detailed breakdown for each of the fixes and charged me exactly what had been quoted (he also installed a door stop at no charge). Overall the experience was positive: they came as agreed on Friday afternoon (actually were a little bit early) and they took time to complete the work that afternoon.
