Appointment 1. Troy did not arrive nor did he call to reschedule. I then called the number a week later and have had no response to the message I left. I am disappointed because of the A's this company has received in the past.

Troy called us back the same day we originally called him. He came out within a day or two and went over the work that needed to be done with my husband. We received a written estimate and then when we changed some specifications, he provided a second written estimate. Troy came out on Friday night and got a jump on the work, then he and his associate came back early on Saturday morning and worked all day long. The fence is gorgeous. One of our neighbors even came over and got his card. Troy took a lot of pride in his work and he has been great to deal with.

I see there have been complaints about this provider not returning phone calls. I am adding to the list because Mr. Jenkins did not call me back either.

We had 2 wood gates and small area of wood fence that had deteriorated. Mr. Jenkins replaced all wood and gate hardware in 1 day. He did a great job and I definitely recommend him.

Troy is a great resource. He fixed several cracks in our bedroom wall and repainted the room. And he hung a ceiling fan for us. The room looks so much better. I really like his personality as well.

A recent storm broke our gate that was already on its last legs. After not receiving a call back from several other companies, I called T&E. I was a little hesistant to use them given that they weren't a company that worked on fences exclusively, but my concerns were unfounded. Troy promptly returned my call, and took note of what I wanted. Because It was a small section (8 ft.) and I was very specific in what I wanted, he was able to give me a quote over the phone. He offered to come out the next day and do the work, but this was a slight problem as I was going to be traveling, and my no one would be around to give him payment. He ended up doing the work, and coming back the next day to pick up a check that my wife left out for him after she inspected the fence. This was extremely helpful as no one could be home while he was doing the work. The quality of the fence build was great and the fence was exactly as I had requested. I wouldn't hesitate using T&E again.

Troy responded to my call, came and assessed the job, gave me a proposal and a start date and completed the job as described. He arrived on time with all the supplies he needed, worked diligently at the job and did great work. He was able to recycle parts of the fence and save money. Super guy! I would hire him again.

In a nutshell: Troy takes pride in his work and it shows. Troy did an outstanding job in repairing the holes in the drywall. He textured the patched areas to match the surrounding wall. This was done ina way where you can't tell that the area had been repaired. He then painted all the walls in the whole house. The quality of the paint job is top notch. At the end of the job, he cleaned up any mess that was caused by the drywall and paint work. Troy worked with me to define the scope of work and provided a clear and concise quote for the job. His initial estimate on time frame to complete the job was spot on. He always returned phone calls and emails in a timely manner

Usually I follow the rule of "if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing" but given the chance and repeated requests to do so, I would warn anyone from using this provider. I feel like not only did he overcharge me, but he did a shoddy job. The installation of the blinds was fine and the installation of the two window boxes was fine. The reason? Hiis assistant handled them. However, everything else was a horrible mess. The kitchen knobs appeared to have been installed without a measuring tape or level. Not one knob or pull is aligned. He reversed the switches for the lighting fixtures in the dining room, the sconces are not level with each other, and he did not install the crystals, leaving them for me to do. He decided the chandelier job was too much and took it off the list. The horror story was the installation of the bathroom cabinet and the light fixture. The mirrored cabinet was installed too high for it to be used by me. It does, however, work for anyone who is at least 6 feet tall. The light fixure was installed upside down and the recent paint job was marred. He left and did not return calls from me asking for patching where the light fixture did not cover the holes left by the original light fixture.

Original work was for 2 doors installed. Once Troy was in the premises, we went around the property to see other possible projects. I shall need tree trimming, but it was not immediately on my list, and certainly not the tree that ended up chunked (cut) horribly, and without my consent. The trees that need to be attended to soon, are in the back yard. Also, before any tree trimming I would have chosen to have some exterior painting done. Troy had written these different projects on his "offer", while in the premises. HOWEVER, the only job to be done absolutely was those two doors. The rest of it needed to be discussed in detail. While I was picking up the two doors (20 mile roundtrip), Troy went to my property. When I returned, I saw, to my horror, that he had cut huge chunks off a tree, that had protected and sealed my house from a view from the street - one of main reasons why I fell in love my house!!! I'm still bitter (it is now 7/30/13). And I ended up having to pay for this "service"!!! The doors were installed by Troy's crew member a few days later, but the job was not completed. He never came back to paint the trims of the doors, which was included in the job description. I had used Troy's services once before, and his crew did a fantastic job, thus I called him again for this door job. Now I am just angry - and saddened.

Left message for for Troy. He returned my call we spoke about services i needed, he said he would call Wednesday to come over - never did. I called him back Thursday afternoon, he was at his son's basketball practice, said he would come by the next day to see what he could do. Never called or came over.

Contacted T & E via Angie's List email on 6/17/13 and briefly described what I was looking for. I said I could elaborate more once they called and listed my cell number as my preferred method of contact. I made no statement about needing the service done within any time frame. I received a response a couple hours later telling me they were booked through the end of the month and offered nothing more. I guess they don't want any business after this month. Really unexpected from a "A" rated company.

Troy was awesome from beginning to end - he arrived early both days - stayed well into the early evening to get the job done in 2 days - one of the rooms was a small bedroom but the other one was a large living room with a 13 foot vaulted ceiling and wooden beams which sounds difficult but not for Troy - he did a beautiful job on both rooms and we couldn't be happier. While he was here we found out he does a variety of home improvements - we will definitely be calling him back soon to install a couple of ceiling fans.

Everything went well with one exception. He and his crew of two did not cover things with tarps well and there are paint splatters everywhere, on woodwork, furniture, countertops, flooring. Most are small and I can either pick them off with a fingernail or get off fairly easily. Troy came back one day for cleanup, but he just didn't begin to get all the spots. I still find new ones two months later. I have no complaints about the actual paint, but he should have done a better job putting down tarps and protecting furnishings. In his defense, the last thing he said was to let him know if I had any problems, that he stood by his work, but I didn't call him back to fix things, so some my fault as well. Overall, things went well and I'd call him again.

Wonderful man good service and on time. But he did do some work. He did a great job.

My back fence was literally falling down and in desperate need of replacement. I contacted T & E Home Improvement and left a voice message requesting an estimate. I was contacted by Mr. Jenkins promptly and an appointment was scheduled for the estimate. Mr. Jenkins arrived a few minutes before I did and called to ask if he could start measuring before I arrived. Once I arrived he had finished measuring and was preparing the estimate. He provided a detailed description of what they would do, how they would do it and was very patient in answering my questions. I felt the estimate was fair; it was not the least inexpensive (but close) and I felt comfortable dealing with Mr. Jenkins. Scheduling the work was a bit complicated because I share the fence with 3 neighbors -- Mr. Jenkins was quite accomodating. Once the date was agreed, Mr. Jenkins and his crew arrived right on time. They removed the old fence and replaced with the new; and left the area just as clean as it was when they arrived. Mr. Jenkins was onsite almost the entire time; they started when the said they would; they finished when they said they would and the fence looks great! I am a happy customer and will not hesitate to contact T & E Home Improvement when I have other work to be done.

Troy was excellent! He was very professional and a very pleasant person. He was never difficult to reach on the phone. He and his associate finished installation of the door knobs in only a couple of hours, a job that would have taken us so much longer to finish. They took all the old door knobs away and left the house neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend Troy and will be using him again!!

When calling for an estimate, had a timely returned phone call and timely estimate. The service performed was quick and they showed up when they said they would. Work preformed was very good quality and they cleaned up after they were done. Would definitely use them again.

Left 2 voice messages and 1 email message, but did never get a return call, so was disappointed that I couldn't even get an effort for a return call.

Made a phone call for estimate for power-washing. Person who answered phone was brusque and it was at first hard to understand him. He stated that he was swamped and was not interested and I was free to call back in a few weeks if I felt like it. After that friendly greeting (not!) ..the message was clear..move on!

Troy was great. He arrived early, was extremely pleasant and most professional. He did a great job and worked very quickly and cleaned up properly. My overall experience was extremely satisfied and I surely plan to use Troy again.

Trow was prompt in returning our initial contact, on time for the estimate and for the work. He and his crew worked hard for two full days. We are very pleased with the work.

I called T & E and asked him to quote the replacement of rotted fascia on a rent house. He took only a day or two to provide me with a price then started the work another day or two later. Troy replaced the rotten wood fascia with Hardie Trim planking. He matched the paint color of the house shutters as I requested. Instead of stopping with the south side of the house, he continued painting with the new paint color on the front side fascia so that it wasn't obvious that the color changed. He also repaired and painted some other deteriorated trim that I hadn't even asked him to do. The work was done well. It was done quickly. I was very pleased with the additional painting and trim repair that he did without any extra charge. This is the second job T & E has done for me. I will be having him do more work in the future.

Troy and his workers were the best thing that happen to me. I had never done any remodeling ever and I decided to paint ever room in my house. I never had any experience painting and did not know anything about colors. Troy helped me and I'm so proud of my home. He doesn't pick out colors but he gave me enough advice to help me and gave me confidence. I got 4 estimates and he was cheapest by 30%. He cut out all sales techniques and gave me exactly what I wanted. I've had so many compliments on his work and I have a brand new home. His workers, Dave and Jose, cleaned up my home and put everything back the way it was before they started. They were very respectful of my home and my time. They showed up on time every day and didn't break anything. He did some other work around my home and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. They started my job and did not go to another one before mine was finished. I would highly recommend Troy and plan on using him again soon to help me expand my closets.
