Description of Work: I paid to have them come out to develop an estimate. They came out to my house and promised to develop a bid. I have never heard back. I am not satisfied with them or Angie's list. This was a waste of my time and money. I do not intend to use either service provider ever again.

Description of Work: After taking a healthy 50% up front, we had our walls painted (good job) and then we waited for the roofer to show to seal our vent on the roof. He must have forgotten because his 9 am showing turned into a 4 pm showing and then a no show at all. After calling the office, we rescheduled for the next day. When they showed up, they didn't have a tall enough ladder to get on the third floor, so they went back to their warehouse to get a taller ladder. We aren't really sure what work they did on the roof, as the workers left without checking in with us. The entire process left me dissatisfied.

Description of Work: They installed a little under 100 square feet of paver stones in the area between houses around the a/c units. Previously it had been gravel with weeds poking through. Now it is a nice little patio area adjacent to our drive. The workers were very prompt and made sure they understood what I wanted done and how I wanted it to turn out. They cleaned up after the project was done. I am very happy with the results.

+ 0 moreIt was tied into the house on one end and the garage on the other end. There were no posts involved. Stonecraft dealt with the HOA and hired an architect to get plans done and approved. They also obtained city permits and followed up with all the proper inspections. I am thrilled with the results. It averaged $30 per square foot. I suppose that is the going rate. This is something I tried to find many contractors to do and no one was willing. I am very satisfied. 3 fire breaks were installed, one on each end and one in the middle.
Description of Work: I had a 450 square foot breezeway built between my house and my garage.

+ -1 moreAli, the owner, met with us personally and took our rough drawing of concept and built out a beautiful space that everyone has loved. I felt that Ali took personal pride in the work being done. If there were anythings that needed adjustment he would get on the phone immediately and call the craftsman to come out and fix it. I had gotten bids from other contractors and wasn't sure I wanted to go forward with the project. Ali's bid was in the range of what I had wanted to spend while other bids were way above what I had expected. I would definitely use him again. In fact I am considering a few other projects and I will call him first. What impressed me the most was his personal attention, his pride in his work, his willingness to make things right and overall reasonableness of his bid. Quality does come at a cost. I believe Ali gives very good value.
Description of Work: Work done was the buildout of the quarters over our garage.

+ 3 moreMy husband and I have used this builder/contractor before with excellent results. He was able not only to give us references to call but able to show us his actual work. We originally wanted a screened- in porch and called many others. Stonecraft quoted us the same price but for a sunroom not a screen in porch. This by far blew us away. We had a sunroom built in 2010 and were very impressed with the quality, price and speed at which the project was completed. We naturally called Ali when we were ready to convert our large attic into a bedroom, bathroom and office. We were originally quoted 25,000 but made several changes and improvements with the total ending around 30-35,000. It was worth it. Ali and his main foreman sat down with us until we came up with a workable plan that would be able to serve our family well for years. It has been almost 3 years and everything still looks great. I hope to use them again when I try and complete a bathroom remodel gone wrong (me and my husband DIY attempt).
Description of Work: Complete addition of bedroom, bathroom and office. Previously added on a complete sunroom with energy efficient windows on a slab foundation after demolition of chimney and old porch slab.

+ 1 moreIt was initially difficult to get the contact on the phone, and it was a bit challenging to meet with the slate company to pick out what we wanted, but overall start to finish we were very impressed with the services and products installed at our home.
Description of Work: Stonecraft built a covered patio for our outside area. The extended the roofline so it was seamless. They re-did our patio laying down slate, installed ceiling fans and outdoor lighting.
