Stanley Steemer

The particular salesperson/tech that came out said he knew how to refinish and clean stone floors. He didn't. He said it would take 3 days and it took less time - he didn't do a good job. He put polyurethane on the stone floors, which you should never do. We had some issues with the color of the stone, and they had to come back to fix some stones, immediately, that they hadn't done a good job on in particular. After they came back, the stones didn't match the rest of the floor. Two months later, in various areas, the finish started bubbling up. I had to call them at that time. The manager came out, agreed that it was an issue, told me that they had fired the guy that had sold me the refinishing. They turned it into their insurance company, who said it was not a liability claim, and ended up refunding my money. I had to get another company to redo my floor. I do NOT recommend them for stone flooring at all.

They guaranteed the service but unfortunately they couldn't get the thing done. It transformed the color back to a lighter color but then it did not made it to the point where we're completely satisfied. They told us that's the most they could come out but we were hoping for more after paying for so much.

I called needing same day service as there were urine stains on my sofa and there was a stench of cat urine on the tile in my bathroom that another tile /carpet cleaner had failed to eliminate the week before. I was given a 4 hour window of time and they arrived within 2 hours. The two cleaners, Juan and Marvin, were very kind, courteous, and efficient. They went above and beyond to be helpful. The job they did was wonderful. Sofa cleaned, urine smell eliminated, and an and quot;unremovableand quot; stain on my carpet was removed. Whenever I need another cleaning job, Stanley Steemer at this location will be the one I call.

The two gentlemen arrived within the time frame set up. They were very courteous and professional. They explained their process and we went through what I wanted done. They did a great job and we are very happy. We definitely will use Stanley steamer again. They definitely wanted us to be happy with service we received.

Not well. I wasn't happy with the way Stanley Steemer handled this stiuation. I got the run-around and wasn't happy with their service, and the quality of their quote. They never came out ot give an estimate and I had to give them the square footage of the estimate I got from another vendor. I went with the other vendor because of their professionalism, and their estimate.

The Houston area Stanley Steemer franchise has the right tools (hot water extraction equipment) and the right chemicals. Unfortunately, the technicians are inclined to only make a quick pass-over, collect the fee, and move on to the next job. After three visits, they decided that the tiles and grout in my small bathroom could not be cleaned with their equipment. They left my upholstered chair not much better then they found it; still in need of a proper cleaning. A disappointing experience, and a complete waste of my time and money. Look elsewhere.

Service was exceptional. Stephen Edwards was alone yet he moved furniture and removed every stain in carpet. The tile looks better than the day I moved in. Carpet was not overly wet and was dry by the next morning. It took him 3 hours and the house has never looked or smelled cleaner. We have two dogs and three cats so we will be using Stanley Steemer and Stephen Edwards again.

They did a great job. I would recommend them to others

The crew worked fast and were very polite. They cleaned all carpets in my house, including the closets and stairs. They were in and out in 30-45 minutes.

This is the second time I've used Stanley Steemer's service. Scheduling an appt. is both easy and quick. I've scheduled online before and this time over the phone. There were no hidden costs either way. Although our carpet was not quite 5 yrs old it was in pretty bad shape between teenagers and 2 dogs. There were numerous stains from all sorts of things and many areas where our pets had accidents. Realistically my hope was simply for clean carpets, stains that weren't as obvious, and neutralizing areas where my dogs had been. Once again I was wowed! They were able to remove almost all of the stains! The few that didn't totally come out were drastically faded and barely noticeable. The carpets look great and there is no pet odor whatsoever! The technicians arrived within the 3 hour window that I was given. They were professional, courteous, and answered all of my questions. They moved small furniture to get to as many areas of the carpet as possible and then put it up on protective squares until the carpet dried. They explained realistically how long it would take the carpet to dry and what I could do to help speed up the process.. The one thing some people might find to swallow is the price after always seeing so many different 'specials' for carpet cleaning. My overall price is a little higher because they both cleaned and deodorized many areas including a set of stairs, 5 bedrooms, a hallway, and 2 other areas. Through the years I have used many different carpet cleaning services and have found that you definitely get what you pay for. No one has come anywhere close to being able to clean my carpets the way they have. I would definitely use them again! On a side note, I also called to get an estimate from Coit since they were running a 'special' of 35% off total services. Even with that hefty discount, the price was almost the same as Stanley Steemer's so I decided to go with the company that I had used previously and am very happy I did!

We called a few weeks ago to get some information on having the waxy build-up removed from our wood floors. The first time we called the 800 number, and after explaining that the build-up was from Murphy's Oil Soap wood floor cleaner, we were told that they were aware of what this was and that they could get the build-up off with no problem. A few weeks later, when we were ready to have the work done, we called the local number and explained the situation, and asked if we could have someone come out to take a look at our floor and do a test first to make sure that they could get the build-up off. We were told no, that they don't send anyone out to look, that when they come, they come to clean. We made the appt. for Saturday, May 4 and the follow-up was good. We received an e-mail reminder 2 days before and a phone call reminder the day before. They called the morning of the appt. to say that the crew was on their way. In the meantime we moved everything off of the furniture, moved some of the smaller pieces of furniture to other rooms, and vacuumed. When the crew (2 men) arrived, we showed them the floor and explained what we needed done and they immediately said that they didn't think they could do it but would test it. One of the crew members poured some alkaline wood cleaner in the middle of the floor and used a tile brush, and a large area of waxy build-up came off. They said that that was too much work for such a large area (living room, den and hallway) and that they wouldn't do it. It appears that dispatch did not communicate to them exactly what it was that we needed to have done and weren't prepared for it. The crew member also told us that they could have done a test and an estimate, even though we were told on the phone that they could not do that. This would have saved us a lot of time and effort. Bottom line is that we are extremely unhappy. Why were we told on the phone that they could do this type of work without any problem? Why were we told that no one could come out to look at our floor first when apparently that is possible? Why wasn't the crew made aware of what the problem was to begin with? They showed us that the materials they had could remove the build-up from the floor, but said it was too much work and refused to do it. Based on this experience, we would not recommend Stanley Steemer to anyone for anything.

They are nationwide. They were punctual and available when we needed them. They did an excellent job of removing the furniture and putting it back again. I would tell others to give them a try on the cost and see if they are competitive.

They provided same-day services per our request, called ahead (30 min) to gain access, and completed work in about 1 hour. They were very responsive, punctual, and professional. They provided lots of "up sale" opportunities, but weren't pushy when they were rejected.

They are very good. They moved all the furniture and they were very good about that kind of stuff. I have used them for probably 20 years. They do an excellent job, they are always on time, and they are good about moving the furniture and putting them back. They have always done a very good job. Their price is good.

.They did an excellent job. Our dryer works twice as fast now after Stanley Steemer cleaned the vents.

It was great. We had just moved into the house at the last minute and they came the next day, cleaning everything before the furniture arrived.

They are prompt, call before they come and you can usually get on their schedule within a couple of days. They are very reliable and I also used them for 30 years when I had a nursery school in Oklahoma. I also use them in Florida when I am there. If you see a stain or something on your carpet within two or three days after a treatment they will come back for free. They stand by their product, that's why I have always used them.

I was very satisfied with the work they did on my tile entry way. Looks brand new again!

They seemed to be dirtier after than before. They immediately attracted dirt. I let the company know I was unhappy.

I had just purchased the house and wanted to clean the carpets before moving in. The crew was on time, professional and very quick. They were done in just over an hour and half - but that is not surpizing given that the house was empty. I would definitely use them again. Note that the specials via Angie's List were identical to their online specials - no additional discounts.

I cannot recall the last time I was so impressed with a service company. A water damage expert was at my door almost immediately after my call for help. His appearance was neat, his attitude great, and his communication skills were outstanding. Once his very reasonable estimate was accepted, a crew arrived in a very timely manner to vacuum out the excess water, remove the damaged carpet pad and set up a drying fan....all under his superivsion. He also called and arranged for a separate team to come out once the carpet was dry to replace the carpet pad and clean the carpet. All members of the separate teams were dressed in clean, neat uniforms, and they called in advance to let me kinow they were on their way. The carpet cleaning team arrived within the scheduled window and handled themselves, and my possessions, in a very professional manner. The original water damage expert also came with the cleaning team to make sure everything was going as expected. The only unexpected thing to occur was the length of time it took the carpet to dry completely after cleaning. This could be explained away by the use of and quot;greenand quot; products the company uses for stains. Apparently, it takes heavier applications of the and quot;greenand quot; type products to lift stubborn stains. I was told the carpet should be dry after about 10 hours, however, it took 3 days for the carpet to completely dry in those areas where the stain solution was used. Be that as it may, the cleaning was perfect, and my carpet has never looked better. This was a very small job for the water damage arm of Stanley Steemer, but I feel that I was afforded the same level of service and courtesy that a much larger job would command.

I have used this company in the past and called them again. They showed up when they were supposed to and did the job they were hired to do. I have reccomended them to my neighbors and friends. The carpets are much cleaner and look better than when I had used a cheaper company.

Beware if you experience an emergency after hours or on the weekend! I never got a chance to evaluate their service because they never arrived to give me an estimate. My emergency occurred on a weekday in the early evening and, based on their high ratings with Angie's list, I called them to get an estimate. I was told there was a $250 fee for estimates given after work hours, but the estimate would be free if I could wait till the next day, which was a Saturday. I waited, and waited, and waited, and they never arrived even though I was told they would come between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. When I called to find out what happened the dispatcher was apologetic and promised me that someone would come out the same evening. The technician who called me back said I would be charged $250 for the estimate since it was now after hours and that was their very firm rule. I explained that I preferred to do business with a company that made good on its promises. It was an unfortunate interaction; they should have made amends for their mistake.

They were wonderful. The price was reasonable. The same team has came 3 or 4 times and they do a good job.

They were in and out quickly and my carpets were dry in a few hours. They did an excellent job on the stairs too. I got the cleaning because I was worried about dust mite allergies. I was having trouble sleeping because of allergies and I thought the steamer would help. I have no idea how to test for dust mite levels before or after, but it was clearly less irritating to sleep in the treated bed rooms. I would recommend to anyone the Stanley Steemer carpet cleaning service. Particular compared to a DIY home shampoo machine, the results are incredible.
