They arrive on time for both estimation and installation. They took my coupon and priced lower than the other bidder. The take away and installation work are done within a couple of hours and left with clean finish. Strongly recommended.

They were done in 5 hours, which was a pleasant surprise. The glass components were custom fit to my unusual shower shape. They were able to give me several more inches of space in this shower because of the custom glass work they did. The only thing I was not aware of was how smelly the solvent was that was used to clean off the old glue. It very potent. Make sure that you close the door to the bathroom so this smell doesn't get into your whole house. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves.

The work was good but they were very expensive. I'm not sure how much I actually saved. I paid $900 out of pocket for that door beyond the $90. It wasn't a bargain. They were fairly responsive. It was quite a while between the time they took the measurements and they time they did the installments, probably 3 weeks.

It went well. I have been waiting for a handle and towel hook they haven't sent it since they installed the door about almost 3 weeks to a month. The shower door have the wrong handle and hook on the shower door, they said they would call me next week finally but they didn't. The door is working fine, but the hardware is wrong. The handle was supposed to be square and they put a round one. I did not pay anything more than the big deal. When I originally ordered the doors, they said it was going to be one day, and then they called to say they lost an employee and so they pushed it back one week, and then they came with the wrong hardware. They will probably bring the correct hardware next week. The big deal price was good, it was supposed to be $1800 and I got it for $1400. The quality of the installation was good. The salesman didn't make sure that the order was fine. I emphasized that I wanted a square handle, and they brought a round one.

Professional, high quality work. Competitive pricing. Don't let your general contractor charge you for frameless shower glass-- they'll use the same company and up-charge you or else use a lower quality company and still charge you an arm and a leg. This provider warrants their product as long as you own it.

They were quick and did great work. If I had it to do over, I would skip the protective anti spot film. It still leaves spots and has a film that is not crystal clear if it is not perfectly clean.

This was a great experience. Their salesman, while chatty, was very nice and definitely knew what he was doing and walked me through the process of what I would and wouldn't want with the doors based on my space. He was very helpful in making decisions and also in giving the best options for us. The measurements were taken and then it took I think about 2 weeks to get the glass made and cut before they were installed. Once installed I had an issue with one of the panels, my main issue was the amount of epoxy used to raise it off the granite and how it didn't look good (it was the first thing you saw when walking in the bathroom). The salesman came out, took a look and offered to replace the panel and even remeasured to ensure the new glass was cut perfectly. While there he inspected the rest of the shower for any imperfections, he discovered that same panel had what he called glass seeds in it, luckily that still meant just 1 panel being replaced. The new glass arrived about a week or so later and the installers were once again very nice and professional. They were done quickly and had done a great job fixing my issues. I was very pleased with this company's customer service and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I am pleased with this project. I was provided an estimate which was close to the actual cost. The installer was early (which I value), installed the door with no mishaps and answered my questions. He also expalined cleaning products that should be used to maintain the door. The cost of the door was after the discount received because of an Angie's List discount. I would use Shower Doors of Houston again.

On 1/6/2016, we had them remove the old shower enclosure and install a new one. Initially, it looked great. However, after the installers left, we found a small chip in one piece of glass and a flaw in another. I called them and James came out and looked at the two places. I figured I would get a hassle, but James agreed that there were issues and made arrangements to replace the two panels at no expense. A couple of weeks later they came out and replaced them. Was told they checked the glass before they came out to make sure it. was ok. After installation, my wife and I looked it over and it was perfect. It was nice to have a company stand behind their product and installation.

The estimator Juan showed up on time and was somewhat professional, though young and seemed not very experienced and in fact when speaking to him discovered that he only had a few years experience with another company. He seemed over whelmed by the job which is a slightly curved shower enclosure. He was obviously way out of his eliminate and finally said he would have to give the info to their engineers and that he would have an estimate to me by Jan 15, 2016. It is now Feb. 3 and we have never heard back from them. My impression is that they are currently spending a large amount of money on a TV advertising campaign and they are wanting the easy money and skimming the easy jobs off the top and dropping anything that will take any amount of extra effort or time. I would not contact them again and would not recommend them, I did not feel very confident in the estimator's knowledge that they sent out. I believe if they would have contacted me with a follow up phone call saying they were not interested in the job I would have respected that, but I don't appreciate having my time and effort wasted when I am in the middle of gutting and remodeling a master bathroom. Note: I have had other glass companies look at the job and they were able to give me an immediate plan/solution and in some instances a bid on the spot, so it's not like this is something that is impossible to do.

It went very well. The installers called around 8am or so and said they were on their way. When they arrived we were told it would only take 1-2 hours. It took about two hours and we have no complaints at all. The installer took the time to let us know to to touch the expoxy for 24 hours. Reminded us that if have any questions, to call and reminded us of the lifetime warranty .Makes the bathroom look almost new again. Very pleased with the service and installation.s

On Dec. 10, 2015, Shower Doors of Houston sent a sales and estimate associate (Juan Cespedes ) to look at our master bathroom walk-in shower about removing an outdated shower door in our master bathroom with a new frame-less shower door. ?Juan? took measurements, inspected the shower which is composed of large sheets of marble as opposed to a small(er) singular tiled surface. ?Juan? made his estimate and we agreed to have them install the new door. We signed the contract and paid the deposit (see attached contract). With In the contract was a sample copy of their insurance policy, a list of ?trusted contractors,? and a folder with ?10-year warranty? and ?BBB accredited? seals. The idea was to finish updating the bathroom in preparation to sell the house the 1st week in February of 2016. On Thursday, January 7, 2016, 2 work men from Shower Doors of Houston arrived to take out the old glass door and install the new one. While installing the new door, the workman in charge came, apologized, and showed us a 12? crack that had occurred when he drilled the holes for one of the brackets. He said: ?This always happens when I try to drill on the larger pieces of marble and not the small tiles.? He said if there aren?t any beams located behind the place where they drill, cracks usually happen. Neither the salesperson nor the installers warned us that this could potentially happen. We called ?Juan? immediately and he assured me that she shouldn?t worry about the crack, and that the company ?would make this right.? He stated that we, as the homeowners, should not attempt any repairs and that they would send out their ?most skilled crew members? to make the repair, and seal the crack (so that the shower could be used), and (hopefully) make the crack more aesthetically pleasing, if possible. ?Juan? gave the installers the go-ahead to complete the installation. We took pictures of the crack in the marble and sent them to ?Juan.? Of course we have not been able to use the shower since then. They sent out a second crew (?Esvin?) on Saturday, January 16, 2016. When I asked Esvin how they were going to fix the crack ? he held a small plastic bag aloft in his hand and said: ?They gave me some epoxy and some tint, so we going to see what we can do with it.? In the meantime, the entire sheet of marble that makes up that back wall of the shower was separating from the wall. This wasn?t, and hasn?t at this time of correspondence, been addressed at all. Juan was contacted and told that this was unacceptable. On Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, photos showing this separation were sent to Juan, which he forwarded to Julie Freund. I spoke to Juan on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, around noon. The conversation was still seeking a mutual settlement to the problem until Juan said to me there was ?no proof? that the separation of the marble from the wall could be linked to their installation. I said that unless their ?experienced? installer and Juan himself were completely incompetent ? they would have noticed the marble wall separating from the wall prior to the frameless door?s installation. Juan then agreed that, no, there was no such separation at the time of his estimate and measurement. His ?experienced repair crew? also didn?t note that such a problem ? which is apparent to any untrained eye ? was not only present, but showing signs of worsening (the gap is largest at the top of the marble wall, and increasingly smaller as you move away from the shower mount). As you can clearly observe from the photos, the crack runs directly from the frameless shower door mount. On Monday, January 18, 2016, we called the Shower Doors of Houston office to speak to the ?person in charge? and was referred to Julie ? Julie promised that ?by the end of today? we would be contacted with an appointment time. Of course, no such contact was attempted. On Tuesday evening, January 19, 2016, we received the following email: Julie Freund <julie@houstonshowerdoors.com> Jan 19 at 5:11 PM Hello, I am writing to help resolve the issues with the shower enclosure installation we performed recently. I have seen photos and discussed with the crews and Juan as well as contacted multiple people in the area who work with cultured marble and situations like yours. I want you to know that each person we have sent to you has been an experienced professional employed by us.. Mistakes happen as in this case, but I do not want you assuming that our team is not capable or experienced. We have contacted a company that repairs cultured marble and we performed the same service they would have, but if you want us to send them out directly for another try, however, we can. The other concern is the cultured marble pulling from the wall. We can secure this for you, but need to address the crack first. We cannot replace all of the cultured marble. I can offer you a discount and another attempt at a repair. Please let me know how you wish to proceed, but full replacement is not a feasible solution in this particular case. If we were dealing with a different type of material we could accommodate, but there is not more we can do in this case than a repair. Please let me know how you would like to move forward with another attempt at a repair and the securing of the wall that is pulling away. I look forward to your response. Regards, Julie Freund, General Manager, Shower Doors of Houston, Office 281-220-6886, Fax 832-239-9905 www.houstonshowerdoors.com __________________________________________________________________________ Shower Doors of Houston has seriously damaged the large (one piece ?see attached measurements) marble in our mater bathroom?s shower and has shown little to no concern for our safety, inconvenience, or customer satisfaction. Neither the salesperson nor the manager has ever once even attempted to visually assess the damage. We engaged Shower Doors of Houston to enhance the appearance of our master bathroom and the value of our home prior to our home?s placement on the sales market in the 1st week of February ? which is now no longer possible as we have an unusable and extremely unsafe master bathroom shower that will not pass any home inspection or allow us to have potential buyers view our home. As noted in the attached photos, all of master bath?s counter tops, bathtub, 2 window sills, shower, and built-in cabinet are composed of the same matching marble. Whether or not it can be matched hasn?t even been investigated. At this time, we are seeking a timely, safe, and aesthetically pleasing repair to the significant damage Shower Doors of Houston has caused to our home.

The price and the quality were very good. Getting it delivered was a real pain. The delivery driver and the office staff where not customer service friendly. After the initial visit with the sales person, who was very nice, no one else seemed to care about the customer experience to a point of rude. The quality of the mirrors I purchased and the price were great. Everything else, no so much.

This company is quick to provide an approximate quote (which will be about $2,300 for a frameless shower enclosure); however, to get the company to actually come out to my home to take a proper measurement and provide details of various options that may be available to us was impossible. Over the course of nearly 3 weeks, I only received the message "we should be able to fit you in this week" to only have nothing happen. Of course, if it is this hard to get the company to even come out to my home to do a measurement, imagine my concern in how long an actual installation may take. For the money, there are MUCH more responsive companies to go with--there is no reason to pick the most expensive to get this kind of run-around.
Description of Work: Failed to do anything other than provide an approximate quote for a frameless shower enclosure. After approximately 3 weeks of constant contact in trying to get someone out to take a proper measurement and start the process to build a frameless shower enclosure, we gave up and went with a competitor. This company was about 10% more expensive than every other quote received.

I bought Angie's List coupon towards a showed door enclosure a while ago and they quoted for the service, but I was not ready to do it then. I called them once I was ready (9 months afterwards!) and they respected the same quote as well as the promotional value of the coupon, everything was installed a week after my first call, they showed up in time and did a fantastic job! The shower enclosure is top quality and makes my bathroom look amazing!!
