Description of Work: This was the second time we contacted SDH to give us a quote. Previously, we had them install a shower door in the master bath and were extremely satisfied with their service. So when I saw the Big Deal offer for SDH my husband and I decided to take advantage of the offer. We were having a leakage problem with the shower door in the guest bath and wanted to solve the problem. The technician that came out to our house explained that the doors we had were fine we just needed to change the shower head because the hand held shower was concentrating the water flow to one spot and the door couldn't handle that amount of water at one time. He said even an installation by Shower Doors of Houston was not guaranteed to not leak with the use of a hand held shower. Also I explained that we maybe be downsizing and selling the house in the near future, which would make the expense unnecessary.

Description of Work: We called Shower Doors of Houston to schedule an in house appointment. The day of the appointment SDH did not call us to confirm so my wife called them, at first it seemed they did not have our appointment scheduled, but after some pushing from my wife, they found it and said someone would be out during the scheduled time. The sales rep called us and said he was outside our house, but he was not and then told us he went to the wrong house, so he ended up being late. He came in and measured, gave us a nice presentation, so we told him let's move forward and asked if we could use the coupon on Angie's List. He said no problem, buy it on-line and forward him the email confirmation. He said because it was after 5pm nobody was in the office to schedule the installation, but he would call us tomorrow and let us know the day they could install. I bought the coupon, forwarded it to his email, but no call the next day which was Friday. The weekend passed and Monday too, but still no call. My wife called on Tuesday to ask about this, person on the phone said no order had been placed yet, and they would need 50% down to get started, plus it would be another 10 to 14 days from that point. We were not happy having to chase a company to give them business. So we decided these issues we were having were signs of things to come and want to use a different company.

Description of Work: Shower Doors of Houston was extremely professional and prompt in their response to my purchase of their Deal. While I ultimately decided to work in a different direction on the project and did not use the service, based on my interaction with the firm, I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future should my needs change.

Description of Work: Shower Doors of Houston dismantled my old glass shower enclosure and installed a new one. They were very informative at the show room. They arrived on time for the measurement phase and the installation phase. Everything was done as promised and we are enjoying our new shower.

Description of Work: Replaced shower enclosure with frameless kind. Came out twice to measure, then came out promptly again to fix a very minor leak. Excellent, prompt service. Excellent product. Competitive prices. Friendly, very knowledgable installers. Would DEFINITELY use them in the future as we replace the rest of our enclosures in our home.

Description of Work: When the sales rep Raul came out I told him I wanted to change out the shower enclosure and replace it with a new one. He took measurements and told me there were 3 to choose from and would send me the costs in an email. He was done in approximately 15 minutes. Julie at Shower Doors called to ask me what I decided and to schedule an install appt. she suggested the frameless enclosure as that what was the most popular she said and happened to be the most expensive, so I agreed. When they came out to install the enclosure and removed the old enclosure there were discoloration in the cultured marble and would show with the frameless new enclosure. I told them no one advised me that there would be discoloration that would show and that was unacceptable. So then I spoke with Julie and she hired another company to come out and would get out the discoloration in the marble...that company came out and said it could not be done. I called Julie back and asked what they were going to do about it. I wanted them to install the framed shower enclosure so it would cover the stains and she agreed they would do that. When they came out to install the enclosure the measurements the sales rep gave them were incorrect so they had to measure again and redo the enclosure. This process has been going on for 2 months now...and we are getting close to Christmas. I told them I want my shower enclosure in before Christmas, so 2 days before Christmas they come back out to install the newly measured framed enclosure and try to install it and it still won't fit. The last installers measured incorrectly AGAIN! And they forgot to send the rubber gaskets with the installers and they showed up 3 hours late. And now they drilled holes in my marble where they should not have and it will show holes...so on Christmas Eve they sent out the sales rep Raul that originally measured this job to install the rubber gaskets and said this was totally unacceptable and he would make everything right. I have only heard back from the last installers that want to come out to reinstall the rubber gaskets but nothing else. My total enclosure is 100% mess...its not straight, the framed enclosure is crooked because they measured incorrectly THREE TIMES and now I have holes in my marble that shouldn't be there. I have asked for the owner to call me to discuss this problem and never heard from him. I'm about to call an attorney at this point!

Description of Work: I have not installed my shower door yet because my bathroom is not finished. I had them do a mirror installation from wall to wall over a tricky faucet that was high and made it difficult to get the mirror between the walls, sides and top and bottom. They got it in and it fit perfectly, hiding how out of square the wall was. They even put my light up which had a hole drilled through the mirror to the receptacle. Quality work, great installers and didn't leave even a spec of dust behind. I am a designer and have used many mirror and shower door installers. These folks are a class act and do impeccable work which is hard to find these days. I have just placed an order for one of my clients and I will continue to use Shower Doors of Houston.

Description of Work: They removed my old shower door and replaced it with a glass door with NO frame! The workers were prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job. The door is GREAT, and I highly recommend Shower Doors of Houston!
