Shower Doors of houston came out on time and did a great job of installing and cleaning up after themselves. I noticed once the shower steamed up that where the protective padding was stuck to the glass to protect it during transportation showed. I gave Shower Doors of Houston a call and they sent out a tech immediately to take care of if. I was overall happy dealing with this company. As a real estate agent I will be adding them to my recommended provider list.

We were doing an update of our master bathroom. We wanted to replace all the older builder grade fixtures, mirror, lighting and shower door with newer upgraded oil rubbed bronze replacements. In the bathroom we have a full sized soaking tub and a nice sized separate walk in shower. The walk in shower was the most difficult item to work with. We asked the contractor that was doing a remodel of our master closet what he thought the cost would be to replace the shower door. He said probably around $500.00 - $700.00 for a framed door plus installation costs. Since I liked the look, we asked him about a "frameless door" for the shower - he said probably around $1200.00 - $1500.00 plus installation. This was way over what we were willing to pay for the "newer" look. Doing a bit of research at Home Depot and Lowe's we found to replace our shower door with a new" framed door" with oil rubbed bronze finish would cost at the very least $800.00 and then we would need someone to install. We could only order the door - there were no samples in the store to view. We found the selection in the size we needed to be "very" limited. Knowing the frameless to be more expensive we didn't even bother to ask. We called a local Katy glass company that advertised both framed and frameless doors and went to the shop to see what was available. A framed door was about what I had expected, $750.00 including the installation. When I asked about frameless I was told to "double" the price. Frameless was out for us. Before making a final decision I called Shower Doors of Houston. (I had their mail flyer in my remodel information folder for about 6 months - I had never called them - I usually prefer to deal with local city businesses.) My call was handled very professionally, although I called very late on a Friday, and was informed they were in the process of moving to a new address. Hence, the show room was not set up to view their products. I was told I would receive a follow up call to answer all of my questions. The call came promptly, the next day, and my questions on materials and colors were answered. I set up an appointment with Chris, the owner, to come to my house with samples and pictures for view. Chris came on time and answered all of my questions about a new "framed" door. After our discussion he asked me if I had considered the upgrade to a "frameless" door. I told him from our research we felt the cost to be too expensive. He asked how much I had been quoted so I told him about the contractor and the glass company. He told me the quotes were too high and that he could do a frameless 3/8 " door for almost the same price as the framed. HIS QUOTE $800.00 including installlation and clean up. We were shocked !!!. Needless to say we had a bunch of new questions on door thickness and how the glass would be installed to cover the areas where the orignal framed door was hung. Chris answered all, showed us some pictures and samples of the hardware that would be used. We ordered the "framless " door and waited about 7-10 days for the glass to arrive. In the meantime, by phone, Chris took some final anxious questions from me. A two man crew arrived on time to install on the day set. The door went in without a hitch, in less than an hour. I asked for some tips on keeping it spot free and was given some very good advice. The replacement is virtually seamless - I cannot detect where the old hardware had been. We are extremely happy to have this new high quality door on our shower. As a final bonus Chris agreed to remove our old "huge' mirror from over our double sink area. A task which my husband and I could not do alone without fear of breakage to us or the mirror. His men did a great job with this additional task and it was removed and hauled away as a courtesy. We highly recommend Shower Doors of Houston and would use their company again for any glass needs. As a final note our new shower door comes with a LIFETIME warranty to repair or replace any defective materials.

The sales representative was very helpful and communicated with me regularly before the work was done. She was very responsive in providing information on options and pricing. The field rep showed up on time to do the measurements, and the installers were punctual and did a very good job. The finished product looks exactly as we had hoped it would.

They took measurements and installed the new glass enclosure 13 days later.Excellent work. It took 2 hours to install. Had to wait 24 hours to use it.
