Sales professional came out and measured, I used a coupon through Angie's list which made the purchase tolerable, and the installation was like any other purchase of this nature (routine).

Straight, clear, 3/8", untreated, 46" long shower door and panel for $1250 including Angie's discount. Looks nice, exactly what I'd hoped for, but this isn't cheap! | |Shower Doors of Houston gets good marks for professionalism, punctuality and... ultimately... quality of the finished job. |They showed up, all 5 times (including the pre-installation measuring), when they said they would, and called to reconfirm the day of. |They get poorer marks for not getting it right the first time. For $1250, I had very high expectations of a flawless installation. However, the door leaked profusely after the initial installation. A visual inspection revealed a large obvious gap in the bottom seal at the door hinge. A prompt repair visit... and a rather crude patching job... it leaked worse. The third visit fixed the problem 95%, but that crew said that a wrong part was originally installed (something like a lower hinge cover/deflector). The correct part was ordered and then installed on the 4th visit. Mission accomplished. No leaks. | |I'm still giving them a "B" even with all the hassle because I'm very happy with the end result, and in spite of the multiple visits, they were very professional about the whole thing. | |I was a little surprised that in this price range (especially with the multiple trips for a very simple job) that I didn't get a follow up call or e-mail from Management / QC to see if I was happy with their work. That would have gotten them an "A" in professionalism.

The bid deal was for shower door installation and the company refused to install a shower door. The deal was only a bait and switch so that they could sell a custom door.

From the estimate to the delivery, they were professional. No yelling at us like we had experienced. No failed appointments or false promises. The shower door is high quality, and all people involved were friendly, courteous, and helpful. I loved that they had a huge library of customer portfolios to show me.

It turned out fine. The work was good, the price was reasonable compared to other companies. It was a little pricey, but within the market prices. They did have to come back and make an adjustment. I would use them again.

It turned out excellent. I had to purchase the door. They were really professional, did a perfect job in the time that they said. There was a slight mix up where the wrong hinges were put with the door, they caught the mistake right away and one of the guys ran and got the right ones, they had it done in one day. We also bought a mirror from them and they installed that as well. They did a good job. I thought that the price was reasonable for the job that they did. I would use them again.

I had many questions, delayed the final installation until I was certain of the plan (and required tiling work), and they were happy to help me the whole time. Top service, high-quality product. I wish the Shower Guard was truly no-maintenance, but at least it's sealed so that there isn't permanent damage from hard-water stains.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was great. I bought the Big Deal as a gift for my parents who are doing remodeling. It went really well. The technicians were very professional and courteous. When the salesman first came out he was very helpful as well. I checked with three different contractors and they were all around the same price.

Shower Doors of Houston did a great job from the initial measurement to the final installation. All the employees showed up when scheduled and were courteous to call about 15 minutes ahead of time. The installers did a fantastic job putting the beautiful doors in our bathroom. They cleaned up after themselves and they took care to explain the process and how to take care of the doors.

We visited their showroom to see what the doors looked like. This was followed up by an in home visit for an estimate. The door was installed as promised and looks very nice. We didn't have other quotes to compare the price to.

I'll start with the cons and and end with the pro. First of all, don't bother with a coupon from them. $99 installation is just a way to get you to purchase a shower door from them. Which you have to if you purchase the coupon. So, they just make up the installation cost on the door cost. I told the gentleman that came out to give me an estimate that I was updating to sell the house next year, so I wanted the least expensive way to go. Mine was a shower door, plus about another 3 feet of glass to the frame. The least expensive cost was $1,200. I had purchased the $99 installation, so I didn't have much choice. The guy told me that when shower doors are pulled down sometimes there is yellow mark on the bottom on the marble or tile. He told me if there was a stain to tell the guys installing it to stop, and then I could get that fixed, and they could come back. That is exactly what happened. So, I got the yellow stain fixed & then I called to get the guys back out to install the door they said they couldn't come for 10 days! So I had to be without a shower door for 10 days. The gentlemen also told me they shouldn't have said that about stopping work to fix the stain, but I am glad they did! So, you might want to ask about that if you use them. The guys who took out my shower door broke a piece of the tile at that bottom, but I didn't want to deal with the company about that, so I just fixed it myself. So, keep an eye out for that. Finally, the pro is that the guys who finally installed my shower door (not the same ones who took the old one out) did a great job in installing it. It looks beautiful. It's good solid glass and the silver hinges and door handle are great, and it has worked well.

Great. Timely service and follow up. Finishing is spectacular and blends really well with current decor. Can't tell it was not designed originally with the house.

It went well. I think the doors are somewhat overpriced, but they at least make the process easy by doing all of the measuring for you and then installing the new door and removing your old door. The sales and installation staff were both efficient and professional. The door they installed is beautiful, it really makes the bathroom look great!

They ended up not doing the work and told us it would be much more work and cost more than we wanted to pay.

The salesmen was on time for his appointment, took exact measurements, made recommendations, and had lots of examples to view on his Ipad, as well as suggesting we visit the showroom to see the models in person. The office staff also followed up a day or two later to see if I had questions, but none of them were pushy or overbearing. If I decide to remodel the shower, I will use Shower Doors of Houston

I saw the coupon on Angie's list for $99 installation and purchased it based on the good reviews and A rating. Chris Patterson came at the correct time and date. He measured the shower and gave me options for the hardware and type of glass. I called the office the next day and agreed to purchase the top of the line glass. I gave them a credit card number for half the purchase price upfront. We set an installation date at their earliest available time. The installers came at the correct time and date. They were very polite and courteous. They removed the old shower door and started the installation of the new door. After about 90 minutes of this they came out and apologized for not being able to continue, but the original measurement were wrong and part of the door had been incorrectly cut. They would have to come back at another time, but that Chris would call later that day or early the next. After a day or two, Chris called and apologized for the error in measuring. I called the office and they said the earliest they could finish the job was approximately 10 days out. The second set of installers came out on the correct day but were ~2 hours late. They were able to finish the installation. My concerns are: 1. Aren't measurements supposed to be double checked? 2. We were without a main shower for ~2 weeks while we waited for the new glass and an open installation day. Couldn't they put us to the front of the line due to the inconvenience? 3. When they removed the old shower door, they filled 3 of the 8 existing anchor holes with clear silicone. One of the screws broke off in the wall (not unexpected, it was old). I filled the remaining 4 anchor holes with white silicone to better hide them. I could not get the broken anchor out and assumed they would. They did not. I now have 3 rather obvious "holes" in the tile and a rather ugly broken screw (partially hidden behind the new glass). 4. I had expected some follow up from the office about my satisfaction, how the installation went, etc. I also expected some sort of a "we're sorry we screwed up, here is 10% back". Nothing. The reason I waited so long to do this review was I was curious if they would get back in touch and I really did not want to write the review while still upset. Would I use them again? Maybe, but I will watch them like a hawk, double check everything as they do it, and question everything they tell me.

The estimator came to my home on 6/28/13. I explained that I would have to take off work to be there. I called Shower Doors of Houston an hour before the appt. and indicated that I was about to leave work and asked whether the estimator would be on time. I was told he would be on time. After I got home, the estimator called to tell me that he would be late. He ended up being about 30 minutes late. The estimator was very courteous and professional and collected 1/2 the cost of the shower door replacement. The earliest Sat. appt. available for the installation was 7/27/13. The installers arrived on time, were very courteous and professional, and left the bathroom neat and clean, as they found it. A few weeks later, I noticed that a screw on the metal strip at the bottom of the shower door was loose. I called Shower Doors of Houston. They agreed to send someone out to repair the metal strip. However, no one was available for about a week. The guys who came to repair the metal strip were on time, courteous, and professional.

I took advantage of an Angie's List deal to have a new frameless shower door installed in my walk-in shower. I made an appointment and was seen within three days. The representative was friendly and professional and showed me my options and explained the various costs. The work was done within one week. Two men came out and installed the door. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. The door looks and works great and I will use them in the future.

Working with Shower Doors of Houston was really a pleasure. They showed up when they said they would. Their work is excellent. Their employees are professional and courteous. The results are fantastic. My whole bathroom looks like new and so much more modern just from replacing an outdated framed shower enclosure with the frameless glass. My only tiny disappointment was that the online cost calculator estimated a bit lower than the official estimate when they came out to the house. But the online calculator is clearing just meant to give a ballpark figure, which it did. And there were no surprises after they came to actually look at the job. I would absolutely use them again.
