Description of Work: I purchased a Deal to fix my shower door, which is a glass door held in place by an aluminum grip strip on the side. Overtime, the grip strip loses its grip and the glass fell off. Shower Doors of Houston contacted me promptly. I called them back and discussed the situation. They informed me that they do not perform those types of work and told me to get a refund from Angie's List. Julie of Shower Doors of Houston was professional and courteous. It is appreciated.

Description of Work: On June 28, 2013, we received an $1800 quote from the company to fabricate and install a frameless shower in our bathroom. The sales rep, Chris Patterson, asked if we were members of Angie's List as they were running a special - $99 for glass Shower Door Installation - regularly priced at $400. This would reduce our total cost for the door to $1500. It sounded good to us, so we joined Angie's List and purchased the coupon. A week or so later the rep came back to our house to make additional measurements. My husband mentioned the fact that, from his research and from speaking with two other glass companies, a 5 panel door might work better than the proposed 4 panel door. Chris said he felt a 4 panel door would be fine. Several weeks later, the installer came to make the final measurements for the shower. We later received a call from the company saying that the door was a bit more complicated than initially thought, would need 5 panels, and that the price would be now be $2600 - an increase of $800 or 45%. The manager continued to say that since we purchased the coupon, it would really only cost us $2200 and she would take off another $100 for our inconvenience. This is still a 22% increase. We decided to use another company.

Description of Work: Someone came out to the house, when they said they would. Measure for shower door plus partial wall. Was polite and courteous. Told me when it would be ready for installation. Got a call that it would be installed on date first per predicted, I asked to be called when they were on the way so I could continue working until then. They called, met me at home, installed everything quickly, I gave them a check. The house and new shower enclosure were left spotless. Thank you. Helen

Description of Work: I contracted with Shower Doors of Houston to replace our existing shower stall and door, after I found "The Big Deal" posted on Angie's List. The shower removal and installation crew was very professional and took great care to not to leave a mess or damage anything in my bathroom or house while working and moving everything in and out of the house. The shower is beautiful and so far I have not had any problems. Shower Doors of Houston did a great job, and I would use them again. Their initial consulting and help were very helpful, and their prices fair. It was helpful to check out their website, as they have some great pictures of some of their work and installations.
