PROFESSIONAL SHEETROCK REPAIRS

Called Gerald to get estimate. Was booked out over 1 week but ended up coming since I wanted several good AL referrals. Quoted me on the job (lot of sheetrock replacement and some repairs + texture to match old texture); a rather large job based on the provider). Quote was quite a bit higher than all 4 others I got. But ended up selecting the provider, based on the reviews, the fact that he was doing sheetrock work for over 30 years and the fact that it was a family team. I figured, since I am pretty picky this would be the best match. Work was scheduled over 4 days; Father & Son team came as planned. They are very professional, clean (very little to no dust, clean up at the end of the day) and especially organized. Seems like a well run operation. You feel the experience! Worked from basically 830-9.00 to 1.00PM each day The 1st day the job was performed, I also mentioned a small additional area that had a stress crack that needed to be covered; Did include it without additional charge. Overall job was well done; very hard to see the areas where there is new sheetrock and new texture, especially on the walls. On the ceilings, you can notice slightly (if you know where the repairs were made), but still remains a job well done. I think the fact that they do not cover the entire sheetrock with mud , there will always be some type of "shadow" based on how the light of the day reflects on the ceiling. But again, my eyes are very "picky" and can notice very slight variations. Last , I forgot to ask for my 10% coupon discount (over $500 job). Would have been nice to remind me of it, since I was an AL member and found the provider thru AL!!

I contacted Gerald Gary via Angie's list. After summarizing the issues that I had, he requested that I send pictures of the repairs needed. We talked a few days later and he gave me a price range estimate of $300-400. This was given over the phone with the understanding that it was an estimate based on how good the pictures represented the actual damage to be repaired. We set a date and time and they showed up as planned. When Gerald and Alex arrived, we toured the areas and confirmed the price of $300.00. Work progressed quickly once we look at each area that needed attention. To repair two ceiling sheetrock seams, one spot under a window that needed some mud, and the wash room walls, took about 2-3 hours. Clean up was complete. Im glad to get the work done. Now I can finish the painting and cross this project off my list. I recommend Gerald Gary and his son , Alex, who worked with Mr. Gary on this job. They were a good team. We had some water pipes that came down in our home and damaged the a large amount of sheetrock. They gutted the kitchen, master bathroom, and two large closets. You could even tell that there had ever been any damage by the time they were done, the walls were made to match perfectly. It took them about 2 days (4 hours per day) to finish the work. They cleaned up after themselves, got here early each day, and I would definitely use them again. The pricing might have been a little bit high, but they did a lot of work.

Gerald was quick to respond to my phone call and we agreed he would contact me on the agreed day when he was 15 to 20 minutes away, which he did. We walked over the entire house so I could show them what needed to be done. He gave me an estimate on the spot and we agreed on a time frame for them to begin. Gerald was up front telling me it would be a couple of weeks until they began, which suited us fine. There were a few areas that needed repair that were unnoticeable until you got up close (like on the vaulted ceiling). Gerald pointed them out and we agreed on a fair price. Gerald and Alex were prompt, professional, and very reasonable. The work was complete on schedule. They did a great job and we are very happy with the work. I would highly recommend them.

Gerald and Alex worked vey hard on my house. I am trying to get it ready to sell. He did everything I asked him to do and then some. The project took 4 days and after each day when done they would clean up. I would highly recommend them!!

They arrived on time every morning and went to work. They cleaned as they worked and made sure that it was usable before they left at the end. Overall great people to do business with and the garage looks great now!

Gerald and his son arrived on time and went immediately to work taping off the area to avoid a mess. The bathroom fan had to be replaced and I was mid-project and making a mess of things. Not only did they do an excellent job replacing the drywall but they installed the fan box, fan and completed the electrical work as well as matching the texture of the rest of the ceiling. In the future I'm calling him before even attempting something like this. He also had great ideas for other projects around the house. If you want it done fast, meticulous and at a good value call Gerald.

He did a fantastic job, you can not even tell the sheetrock was repaired. He is an absolute perfectionist. I would highly recommend him.

Comments from my son-in-law on Gerald's work at his home: Overall went very well. Gerald and his son, Alex, showed up on time. Did a very good job. I wasn't available at the time Gerald first came to view the job to quote on it. My son showed it to him, and didn't quite get all the details right. So, Gerald and I still had to haggle a little and clarify the scope of the job after he started on it. He was more than fair and did some additional work that I meant to be included, but he had not really included in his quote. This work was the 1st stage of a multi-stage project. I will have Gerald back for additional work.

We got four quotes from drywall repair companies to fix water damage to our ceiling. It was a huge job that required scaffolding. One contractor refused to do it for any price, and the rest were from $575 to $1500. Gary not only did it for $275, but he matched the texturing perfectly. We were so thrilled with the price, we had him fix cracks all over the house from before we fixed the foundation and two other projects as well (fixing ceiling above a light and wall behind sink). I'd give him the highest recommendation possible.

They did a wonderful job on the repair as well as matching the textured ceiling perfectly.The cleanup was spotless. You would not have known anything had been done. Not a trace of repair debris other than a full trash can.I really did not know there were craftsman like this left.

Gerald and his son did a great job and did it quickly! He was very honest about what needed to be done. It turned out to be a lot less damage than I had thought.

The team showed up on time. They built a scaffolding making sure they laid plenty of plastic and protective cloth, they wore shoe covers, and was very mindful of the dust. The work was done in very short amount of time and looked like new. I can not say enough about his craftsmanship, if you go with this vendor you will pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied.

Gerald and his son Alex did an amazing job and once we have additional foundation repairs done we'll have them back to fix the cracks and tape around the house. We had several problem areas and were quoted 600.00 to patch three ceiling holes (breakfast area, laundry room, bedroom), finish an old patch job with mud and texture in the laundry room wall, fix some tape and a crack in the same bedroom, and address the kitchen light area. We have a galley kitchen (long and narrow) with a recessed area about 6x2 ft that housed a florescent light fixture with gold trim around the area and generic plastic covering (true 80's style!) The sheetrock was cracked around the light fixture when the plumbers were in the attic replacing pipes. We wanted to close in that area, make it flush with the ceiling, get rid of the gold trim and match the texture, and install a new fixture. Gerald suggested that they remove the gold trim, finish out the "atrium" area, texture it to match the rest of the ceiling and install a chandelier type fixture or something else that fit. He said he had done the same for another client and she just loved it. It opened up her kitchen and saved her money. We agreed that it might be interesting and liked the idea of saving money. I found a light fixture at Lowes that I thought would fit the space and match the other breakfast area light. Gerald informed me ahead of time that there may be an additional cost for them to install an electrical box if there wasn't one already and for reparing the crack in that area. When Alex removed the florescent light, we found there was a box already there and they charged just 25.00 extra to fix that crack and hang the light. I wish I could post pictures of that area because it is my favorite part of the kitchen now! The texture is different from the walls, to the laundry room ceiling and the bedroom, kitchen ceiling. They matched the texture perfectly! After a coat of paint, I can't even tell where the repairs start and end. The kitchen looks amazing with the atrium area open, textured and the perfect light to fit the area. I am so pleased with their work! Alex even directed the lighting (island light with five globes) before having me come look at it. All of the lights were directed at different parts of the kitchen (sink, pantry, fridge, stove top, oven) which means he put thought into where to direct them and I didn't change a thing! They entire job took about 4 1/2 hours and they made sure to clean up afterwards! The only downside is that Gerald seems a little unorganized. He confused me with another customer, showed up about 5 hours late to give the estimate (he did call to communicate the problem) and then called again to confirm the date and time because he couldn't remember 100% on the date and time we agreed on for the job! They did show up on the right day and time for the job, their work was amazing and the price was right. Will definitely hire them again in the future!

It went fabulous. They are very professional and showed up exactly on time. It took only a couple of hours for the work. I would highly recommend Gerald for any sheetrock repair. I will definitely call him again.

Excellent work!!!! I have to say even I was amazed at what a great job this two man crew completed. I was overwhelmed by the detail and work completed. I could not even tell there was any damage in t6he areas repaired. I highly recommend Gerald and his son for any work you may need done. They were very professional and went above my expectations. I had some new recessed lighting installed in my kitchen. In order to do the work holes had to be cut in the sheetrock so that the electrician could run the wires. Gerald and his son came out the same day and repaired all the holes. When they left, the ceiling was ready for paint. Gerald went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. He and his son were incredibly nice and the work was very well done. I would have them back anytime I need some work done. In fact, we talked about another area that needs fixing and I'll call him as soon as I'm ready to do it. The price, while fair considering the number of repairs needs, was a bit high given that they were only here for a couple of hours. The fact that they came so quickly after the electrician left makes up for that. I really liked them.

First of all, Gerald is a complete delight to deal with. He called to let me know when he expected to arrive and arrived exactly on time. He assessed what needed to be done and did it flawlessly! I highly recommend him. You get what you pay for!

Gerald and his son had come out to finish the dry wall work previously done by another contractor. Since he specializes in dry wall repair he was recommended for the job. Gerald and his son showed up promptly on time, were efficient and did a masterful job of spraying dry wall mud and creating texture to match the existing wall. The work was done very professionally and I will definitely contract these guys if ever needed. I highly recommend The Professional Sheetrock Repairs company for small or large jobs!

The job went very well! Gerald and his son were fast and knowledgeable about what they needed to do and how to make it look like nothing had ever happened to a very visible part of the ceiling. Impressive! I would recommend them to anyone.

Gerald and his son did a great job in a short amount of time repairing a large ceiling crack which required scaffolding to access. They matched the texture very well.
