The product when checked out on line and in Home Depot cost AROUND $20..... THEY HAD THE GUTS TO CHARGE ME $234.00 EACH. WHAT A RIP OFF. Also, were very pushy to join their Member Club... Tech, kept talking around the price {QUOTE} "Company need to make a little money". Could NOT get a deatiled invoice asked twice... Tech. was very pushy on "Joining the Club" @ $30/month EXTRA. So I did NOT join, and had to pay a higher price for the OVER PRICED PARTS (2-Capacitors), also was told I needed a 3rd one,--- declined, went out and purchased it for $19 and installed in in 3-minutes. *** THIS COMPANY WANTS TO SELL COMFORT CLUB MEMBERSHIPS, AND WILL OVER CHARGE ON THEIR PARTS ***

We will never be able to match the internet or the box stores, as they don't come to you home and they don't install the parts for you, and the biggest price difference about it is they don't warranty the parts for 2 years. That means for 2 years if that parts fails One Hour will come to your home with NO Service Fee and replace that part at NO Charge for 2 years. Oh and that is a 24/7 day services, Call at 2 am and we will come- Where would the internet be at 2am? Where would the box store be at 2am? You pay for the Level of service provided. Thank you for the good review. We do bring up things that could help put money back in your pocket, stuff that as to do with Safety, Or that will prolong the life of the unit. This is what you pay for though you Maintenance. If we didn't bring these things up and something would happen to you unit and you found out that a product could have mitigated that issue and we never talked to you about it, you would not be happy about that. So yes we do talk about and list thinks we see that could help yo0u and your unit, and we continue too on the check ups as we want to stay professorial. The things we talk about are still up to you if you want to do them or not, but we still need to say them and list them as that is what you are paying for with the tune-up.

Warranty service on Air Conditioner, low on refrigerant, added refrigerant, found leak, replaced a Scharder valve that was bent. Unit works fine now. Work was done under annual repair warranty, no cost for repair.

They used to be Hallmark and they were bought out by One Hour and we have used them for 10, 12 years. We have always found them to be reasonable. They do a good job. We have been very pleased with them.

We had a great experience with One Hour for replacing our AC system. It started with the technician taking time to properly size the new unit. He found that a smaller four ton unit was more appropriate for our home which helped to save money and to ensure that the new unit removed the proper amount of humidity. The installation was clean and efficient. Afterwards, they helped to balance the air flow in the home and even moved the upstairs thermostat to a better location for controlling the temperature. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend!

They took over the air conditioning company that I used to use. The price is pretty good. Quality is good. It works out really well. They call and schedule the service when it's needed and they put in my filters for me. They don't try to, some companies try to push things on you that aren't necessary. They don't do that. I don't feel like they try to do that. They were very professional. I only had one time. I have a tent-like thing that goes up into the attic and I only had one worker, leaved that unzipped when he left there. When they come in the house, they put little booties on so they don't mesh your house up.
Description of Work: I used One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating. I'm on a yearly contract with them. So, they come out in the spring and the fall and serviced my air conditioning and heating system.

They put in a new heat pump for me about five years ago and then I usually use them for the yearly maintenance stuff but their prices have become just outrageously high as well. We made an appointment, they didn't keep it and then when I called them up to ask them where they were they said oh well we didn't mean this Thursday we meant in three months and I said why in the world would I make an appointment for three months from now that doesn't even make any sense for a part that's broken on your air conditioner that's stupid so I said look that's the last time I'll ever use you guys again.

Repairman came out in the afternoon and said he couldn't get the parts til next day as the warehouse closed at 4. He said that they would call that next day to let me know when they were coming out. I called at 10 and asked when they were coming out and I was told the parts were on order. Would they be in that day? No. When will they be in? 2 - 3 days. And I was not called to be informed of this? Called another company who could come out that day with the parts and the cost was 1/3 the cost of One Hour. Will never use them again.

The guy came out to my house for 3 hours. He showed up 20 minutes late to the 4 hour window I was given (8am-12pm service window showing up at 12:20pm). My a/c units are older. He said the top unit was going on and off then stopped working. I told him the unit was working fine why did it stop? He said the unit was old and just needed to be replaced and left me with a broken unit Friday afternoon. We had to go all weekend without air upstairs. After he left our water heater wasn't working either. We checked it and "the maintenance guy" had turned off our gas and the pilot to the heater had gone out. We relight the pilot and the water heater worked again. When I got another service team to come out to check our a/c unit they said the air blowers neutral had not been plugged in!!!! When i called one hour to complain they said "mistakes like this happen" and defended the guys work. They said they would have fixed the mistake for free but I told them I didn't have any confidence in them sending out someone competent thus why I called another service provider. I told them the guy broke my a/c and water heater and didn't provide any good service. I wasted time and energy for zero reward and only problems.
Description of Work: Routine maintenance called the "cool saver". Looking at the ac units and providing freon up to 1 lb free.

I didn't find them on Angie's List. I have used them for years. I don't know where I initially found them. I have a history with them and so right now, I would give them an A. Since I have a contract with them, I will be using them again. I have been using them for 10 years. I have changed how I pay them. They went from an A to a D and then back to A. They used to be very good and then, they got really crappy and then they got better.

I had them come to my house and all they wanted to do was to replace the AC. They don’t try to give you any economical way to fix your ac. They don’t give you and affordable resolution. They came to my house and I ended up paying a service fee and they didn’t record the problem with my AC. When I called them back about the problem they didn’t have a record so they had to charge me another service fee to record the problem. I am not pleased with them. I will never call them again.

Not good and will never use again. wanted almost $1500 to add new drain line. Other companies here quoted $350-$400 if they couldn't unplug it. Paid $ 800 for a new circuit board. Another A-rated company quoted $409. THIS COMPANY IS PROMPT BECAUSE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY!!
Description of Work: Came out first two times and misdiagnosed the main problem which was a clogged a/c line. Paid an enormous price for a new circuit board for furnace. First paid almost $400 for a capacitor. Third guy, same company came out and found plugged line.

3/30 - technician comes out in the evening and diagnosis the coolant valve in the expansion coil is sticking, its under warranty but won't fix it or replace it. he also manages to shut off the other AC unit and leaves 4/16 - AC stops again, technician comes out, diagnosis the same problem and says the whole expansion coil needs replacement but spends 30 minutes trying to get me to buy an expensive extended warranty based on his word alone that "it covers everything" and is unable to provide any documentation with terms and conditions or even what company is providing the warranty. he schedules the replacement with the office for Monday afternoon 4/18 - Flooding in housing and no one calls to reschedule the appointment. When I call them, no one can find a record of the appointment (note this happened last fall also) to install which is why I wasn't called 4/22 - after discussion with the local manager, appointment for replacement is scheduled for 4/23 at 8 AM 4/23 - no one shows up or calls; when the national number is called, there is no record of today's appointment. When I press them to call the local office, they finally find the appointment and say the truck has a flat but will be there "soon" Mine is a system < 2 years old and the replacement is covered by the warranty. The local manager agreed to refund the service charges but that has not actually shown up on my statement yet.

We were all stuck at home for two days and could not get to the office. Our national call center does not have access to your type of job due to software differences. I have used 1 Hour for about 7 years, but have been suspicious of some of the work and recommendations from them. It depends on what Tech comes out, I have had some good ones and then some not so good. Before the Tech came out we developed a clicking in our system. We were told by the Tech that it was our baffle or damper trying to open up and we could live with the noise of get to repaired for $800 plus dollars. They were always trying to get us to clean out our ducts for $350.00. My research showed that it was not necessary and would not benefit us. I found another company through Angie's List , Aire Serve and asked them to come out and re-inspect our system. They gave us a two hour window, and arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time. The Tech was very good n and found the issue with the damper. He gave us a quote to replace the motor for $375.00, but adjusted it so it was not as loud, nor as frequent at no charge and told us how to know when and if it goes out. I just did not have the confidence in One Hour, but now have a company I trust and will continue to use them instead. He also said if we did not suffer from allergies, there was no need to clean out ducts.

They've been out several times last year. The work that we had done last year was basically to replace the system and they replaced it and it continued to have problems, so we ended up having them out there like two or three times to fix things that kept going wrong. It was a really bad experience because it kept happening. The guys who were there were really good though.

I have used this company for over 20 years. The last check-up in the Spring did not go well but I decided to try them once again for the Fall tune-up. I scheduled an appointment and I was given a window of 10am-2pm. I called the office first thing in the morning to see if they could give me a smaller window. The dispatcher could not. Today, between 9:30 and 10 am, I was driving home from my office so I could be at the house for this appointment. The last time I used One Hour, they called me and said that they would not be able to make it that day (another fiasco). I never answer my cell phone when I am driving so I did not see that One Hour was trying to call me. As I was driving onto my block, I saw a One-Hour truck parked at the end. I checked my messages, and sure enough, they had called. I immediately called back and the operator had an attitude and told me that since I did not answer when they called to say that a technician was on the way, they would put me back in the queue to get service. I asked for a supervisor and she also had the "we don't want your business" attitude and said that I would get service at their convenience. About 20 minutes later, I received a call that a technician was available. I allowed them to do the service because I did not want to waste the morning. I have always loved the technicians from One Hour, they are very professional and polite. But they seem to be pressured to sell since this local company was bought out by a national one. I have spent a ton of money with this company over the years (3 new HVAC systems) but now I have to accept that this company is not worthy of my time, patience and money. I will NEVER be calling (or waiting on) them EVER AGAIN.

I called vendor to have a clogged primary drain line cleaned out. I told the operator that the secondary line was dripping water and my ceiling had water spots. The tech showed up, was very polite, very careful to keep my house clean. I told him that the primary line was clogged and needed cleaning out. I showed him the water spots and told him that secondary line was dripping water. He said that he needed to check it out. After checking it out (10 min), we sat down at my table and he gave me a high pressure Up Sell to replace my drain with a french drain, leak detectors, float switch, etc. He quoted me about $575. I told him all I wanted was for him to clean out the line not a new drain system. He explained that it is company policy not to clean out drains but to replace them as the company will be responsible for future drain issues. I told the tech that I was going to get other quotes because I believed that his price was extremely high for what I wanted done. The tech then asked for an $89 service fee. I said ask,"for what?" You didn't do anything. I asked you to clean my drain. You said the company does not do that only replace them. I said Ok thanks for the quote. After arguing with the tech for 10 min. I told him to call his supervisor. I had the same argument with him. When I asked him what his tech did to warrant any service fee he told me that the tech diagnosed the problem. I told him that was not true. I told the operator when I scheduled the appointment that I had a clogged drain. I told the tech when he arrive that my drain was clogged and needed to be cleaned out. I told the supervisor that all I wanted was for the drain line to be blown out or a wire run down to clear out the debris. The supervisor said that blowing out the pipes is dangerous and will most likely rupture and damage my drain. At this point, I told the tech and supervisor that I understand company policy forbids them to work on my drain and that they can only quote a replacement. I also told them that I was not paying $89 for them to essentially give me an over priced quote. I told the tech to leave. I did not pay him. I called another AC service. He showed up the next day. He flushed the line with Nitrogen. It took 5 minutes. I paid him $60. I asked the new tech about blowing out the lines being dangerous and rupturing the lines. He said that it is a popular method for clearing the lines and that he does it all the time. I guess that make the supervisor at One Hour a liar or inept? Synopsis: You want high pressure up sell ($575) call One hour. Want it fixed for $60, call somebody else. The sad part is that the company hires a well paid VP of Marketing to read each one of these negative comments and come up with some scenario where the company tried to be reasonable and post a rebuttal. Save the witty rebuttal. Fix your customer service and knock off the Up Sell.

No marketing rep here, I am the OPS Manager Aaron Childress, and as a company we did choose not to blow drain lines anymore because in 2013 we blow out drain lines on two different homes which on the first one caused $70,000 in damages, and the 2nd one that was $50,000 in damages. Before this happened to us we did do what all the other companies still do today and blow out drain lines with nitrogen, but we are not like all others and look for new ways to take care of customers properties and choose not to blow drain lines, we choose to try a suction method on the drain lines, and if it cant be done we recommended to replace them, we also will not work on drain lines if they go into a open plumbers hub, and will recommended to call plumber or replace the line with French drains. Know this is a practice of ours and not all companies, but with the damages that happened to our company, we just don't want our customers to go though a large flood from the A/C in there home. So I apologize that the service wasn't what you were looking for, and there was no payment rendered to the company for coming out, so no business was done between us, and if there was and you were not satisfied we would be refunding the money for your satisfaction this is our Guarantee 100% Satisfaction. They had to work me in and could not give me a time. By the time he got here the temperature in my house was 96 degrees. He was friendly and professional and explained things to me. He also told me I should not have filters both in the attic and down in the house. He said I needed one or the other but not both. The person who installed the unit did not tell me that nor did any of his crew ever tell me when they came out annually. I was hoping for the 1 hour that another reviewer said they got but was not expecting it. I waited about 10 hours for them to work me in. The only other bad thing I have to say is I thought their prices were a little high but I was desperate. I am elderly and the temperature that day was 101° so the wait was a little h****** me.
Description of Work: Replaced capacitor and added Freon.
