One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning - Houston

I have used this company since I moved into this house 12 years ago. They put the air conditioner in here before I even moved into this house, and I have never called anyone else but them to do work on it. I tend to be very careful about who I hire to do things like that. I trust them and that is extremely important to me. They have name badges and they have their names on their shirts. If a company doesn't have technicians with names on their shirts, I do not go any farther with them.

The plumber arrived within the promised time (2:00 to 6:00). He was professional and even put up with my friendly dog! The plumber gave me an estimate for all of the promised work and stayed within the estimate. I had to leave him at one point to pick up my daughter from school. He stayed at the house, cleaned up his work areas and waited for my return home. I was very happy with the quality of his work. I will be using them again.

We were not impressed with the quality of the estimate. The salesperson who visited our home had already determined what we needed/wanted without even seeing our equipment or talking to us. The estimate was not what we were looking for, which was a recommendation based on our particular home and needs. The salesman just wrote down some equipment prices on the back of a piece of paper. When we asked about our existing (40 year old) ductwork, we were told we didn't want to replace it, because that would be too expensive! We felt the salesperson was in a hurry, and the price we were quoted was considerably higher than other estimates for less work.

The first day I had someone come out, Vernon very carefully cut a small hole in our closet wall to investigate the problem(the closet is right next to the shower). Once he knew what the problem was, he tried to fix it without disrupting the water availability to the rest of our condominium complex. However, since the hot water shutoff valve was damaged, he was unable to do so. We rescheduled work for the subsequent day. On day two, Gary and his apprentice came out and were miraculously able to get the damaged shutoff valve to close, thus allowing the rest of the complex to continue to have water. They made the quick replacement, and gave me a $25 discount because I'm an Angie's List member. They also gave me tips on how to replace our non-functioning bathtub drain, which I really appreciate. I will definitely use these guys again when I have a problem.

We returned from a vacation to find that our water heater was essentially dead. It looked as if something had exploded. At the very least, there had been a pretty significant leak. There was rust everywhere and nothing we could do would get that thing going again. We called a few companies for estimates and Jarrell was the company that could be out there on the same day and install a new water heater within twenty-four hours. During the initial visit, they pointed out to us that the venting for the water heater was not up to code and that this would have to be updated during the installation. I know that Jarrell is not the cheapest company in town, but I feel like they know what they're doing. And they back up their work. They also carry a fair amount of material/supplies on their trucks so that many things can be done in one visit.

They were vary professional they keep me informed about what they were doing. They gave me list of repair options and the cost of each. I would recommend them.

I told Reggie, "No, this is supposed to be a free inspection. Your office called me and asked if you could do it today." He then said, "Oh, you are a service plan member, I didn't know that." I asked him to leave me his written quote and what it would be with the service plan "discount." Funny, but the price was the same after he wrote it up with the discount! I felt deceived and I will not call them back again. I am truly disappointed because they have a good reputation.

Completed the service within reasonable time.

My new washer was delivered Saturday morning but the installers couldn't install because of corrosion and leaks on the existing pipes. They left my new washer (at my request) in my living room and left. I called Jarrell Plumbing and within 30 minutes, Reggie and Leon were on their way to my house. I understand this was unusual and that there must have been a cancellation. Both Reggie and Leon were very professional and polite. Not only to me but to each other. I found that very refreshing and indicative that Jarrell has a good reputation and hires good people. Reggie was very good in explaining everything to me that needed to be done and why. I had no questions when he was done with his explanation; he was thorough and easy to understand. He explained their Essential Plumbing Protection which I might get in the future. I was also impressed and appreciative when they put booties on their shoes when entering my house. They even had booties for the wheels of their dolly! They also hooked up my new washer and made sure it was working properly before they left. And lastly, I was also impressed with Leon cleaning up the floor before he left. In the future when I need more plumbing work done, I will definitely ask if Reggie and Leon can be the gentlemen working in my house!

Fantastic! They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and our fix cost us nothing. We clearly had a sewer gas leak; they ID's the cause (an unused 3rd floor tiolet), fixed the problem (by flushing the tiolet, they put water back into the pipe to block the sewer gas, gave us a long-term solution (flush the unused tiolets periodically!) and it cost us nothing. They could have easily ripped us off by saying that we needed to have the lines checked, but he said "This is probably the problem; try it for a few days; if not, we will send the line crew out but if this is it, then your problem is fixed" Wow! Great service, and they were genuinely nice gentlemen (ask for Reggie and Leon!)

My experience with them was good. They showed up on time. They got the work done quickly and they were clean. I would recommend them and use them again.

They were punctual and friendly. They did a good job. He spent quite a bit of time to go back and make sure there was no leaks and everything was correctly hooked, attached, and lined right.

It went excellent. They were on time, they were very clean, they answered all my questions. I just felt like the were very competent. They told me what was wrong with my old water heater that they said would never pass inspection.

Everything went very well. The workers were neat, professional, and on time. Nothing is leaking any more.

They were excellent on customer service. We were very pleased with the work that they had done. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

They did very well. They cleaned up well and wore covers on their shoes so that they didn't get the house dirty, and I really appreciated that. They also answered all of my questions.

As it turns out, I only needed a valve unclogged. They seem to be less interested in servicing their customers as they are with selling expensive replacements. I have used them in the past but will absolutely not use them again

Initially we were pleased and had confidence in the recommendations. However, on their last spring check they claimed we needed a new condensing unit which would cost about $4000. We had a second company check the condenser and they did not think we needed to replace the unit. We are going to switch companies.

I called for service around 8:30 and someone was at my door within the hour. I think that was the luck of the Irish (being St. Patrick's Day). The technicians (Damondrick and partner) were very courteous and patient. I have a stackable washer and dryer and they needed to remove a door and pull it out of the closet in order to get access to the drain. They covered their feet when entering my condo. The estimate was right on. I thought the price was sort of high considering they were in the condo maybe a total of 30-45 minutes and only needed to snake the drain, but I would definitely use them again (and hey, I don't have their equipment). I've added them to my "favorites".

Overall, this was a good experience. I had a four hour window for my appointment and he came about an hour after the window, but they kept in touch with me by phone to let me know that he'd be at my home soon. The tech was very professional and helpful. He identified the immediate problem with my toilet and pointed out a couple of other potential pitfalls. The tech gave me the pricing before he started the work and explained what he was going to do. He even answered my curious son's questions about what he was doing. Most importantly, my toilet was fixed within 20 minutes of Jarrell Plumbing's arrival at my house. I would use again.

Water overflowing in the tub and out from under the toilet. We called Sunday AM and they were out within the hour. Unfortunately or fortunately, the problem is a blockage in the city line. So, we were just charged the service call. Now we get to wait on the city.

The estimate was $356 for a valve. That was a lot more money than other estimates. I found a company to do it for $40.

They were so professional. They put on shoes to protect the floor, gave us information on their personnel.

Great. Professional, on time, cleaned up after themselves. I have referred them to others.

They were a little more on the expensive side, but they did a good job. The quality of their workmanship was very high. They were a very customer oriented company.
