Craig was punctual and careful not to track anything in on his shoes. He discovered a small problem and showed it to us so we would understand the need to fix it now rather than later when it would become a big problem. He then replaced the part quickly. I recommend the Essential Services package because it allows you to get regular maintenance and any needed repairs at a discount.

Seldom does same technician perform service. Any identified problem is always attributed to a part/system/component not already replaced by Hallmark. Continued problems with cooling, failing to cool below 74 degrees in evenings after several hours. Unresolved with 2 service calls. During cool weather, fails to warm above 68 degress. Unresolved during annual inspection. "System is in working order" Latest issue (2/2/2011) with loss of heating to 1 (of 3) floors, with room temp at 54 degrees. Technician reports that AC and heat turn on at the same time! Unable to resolve heating problem. Disconnected condensers to stop AC input! REALLY???? When I called company to discuss these issues with a supervisor, was put on hold for 10 minutes without a response.

From start to finish everyone I was in contact with at Hallmark - from the appointment scheduler to the technicians - were professional and friendly. The technicians were on time, thorough, and answered all of my questions. The ac/heating techs inspected the furnace & noticed the small condensation drain lines from the furnace were not protruding far enough into the drip container and pulled them out a little farther. They also believed the main drain connected to the drip container was clogged. They contacted the plumbing technician to unclog the drain. When the plumbing technician arrived (that same day) he determined the drain was not clogged and the same area started leaking again - but not as bad as it had been initially. He called the ac/heating tech to notify him of his findings & the current situation. The plumber discovered that when air was being blown out of the small condensation tubes, the air was hitting the wall of the drip container thus pushing the air back in the direction of the tube causing the leaking water to be forced back onto the furnace wall and down behind the container. They collaborated on a solution to the problem. A part was to be order to resolve the issue. However, the leak stopped since the plumber left. With their joint efforts my leaking furnace issues have resolved. The technicians recommended safety upgrades and explained the safety reasons thoroughly. However, I declined all except one - adding a float switch to one unit. Their prices were reasonable and they honored my Angie’s List coupon. I will continue to call on them for all our AC, heating and plumbing needs.

I made an appointment with Hallmark/Jarrell Plumbing for an estimate on the replacement of 2-40 gallon water heaters. That afternoon Larry arrived, assesed the condition of the water heaters, & advised us what needed to be done. He told us the pan of the oldest water heater was damp, & it was a good thing that I was replacing it! Larry prepared an estimate & answered our questions. He was informative & professional & assured us that the price included everything, & there would be no add-on costs. I accepted the estimate, & Larry installed the water heaters the next day! From the initial phone call to the installation of both water heaters I received prompt quality service from Hallmark/Jarrell Plumbing, & I won't hesitate to use this company again.

I have used them in the past. I was very pleased with them and the way they came in, gave me options and made a decision in a timely manner. I would recommend people to see the service and get it done. They were very professional.

They are excellent and that is why we continued the contract with them. The problem we had before was that the compressor was going out and they upgraded that. Am sure that problem won’t happen again. They come immediately when I call them. They explain everything very well. I thought their price is very reasonable. They work with you to set up a convenient time to come out and they called me before coming for their regular visit. They are committed to their customers.

It was a great experience. They were very professional. This company was not able to actually pinpoint the source of the leak but they did refer me to the company that was able to pinpoint the leak source. If not for this company I would not have found the other company! This company also ruled out the possibility of a sprinkler problem. They were extremely helpful, and I am very grateful for their efforts. The technician did test and evaluate possible leak locations, ruling each one out. All that information was very helpful because I was able to give it to the company that actually had to dig up my yard, and it was a great starting point.

After unsuccessfully attempting to clear drain with my own 25' auger, decided to seek professional company to complete job. Following morning, called Hallmark due to reviews here, they were unable to get technician out same day, but able to get one out next morning. While on call, they did try sell service contract, amounting to 15% off services but declined. Technician came out following morning as promised. I confirmed the issue and was presented with an invoice for $244 for the work. I was surprised with the cost, but needed to get the issue resolved ASAP. However, $50 Angie's List coupon was accepted, bringing cost down to $194. Technician carted in a 75' power auger and completed the job. He said he hit the clog at 60'. He also identified a leak in the right kitchen sink drain and resolved issue. The experience with the tech was pleasant. He was professional and got the job done quickly. Going back to the cost, I think the initial $244 cost is very high, and still high even with the coupon. That being said, you get what you pay for. But I did want to highlight the cost issue out to fellow members so they might be able to make their own cost benefit analysis.

Signed up for maintenance 11.20.2010 and first visit to check the Heater 11.21.2010 (we thought pilot not lit was the problem) was good.

The plumber was professional, stayed focused on the tasks at hand, and completed the work in an acceptable amount of time. The plumber cleaned up after himself and took all debris with him. For each visit, the company gave a four-hour window that the plumber would arrive. During both visits the plumber arrived toward the end of the four-hour window.

Was on time. Polite, clean and did the job.

Hallmark was very professional and willing to relight our water heater instead of trying to sell us a new one for $2,000. We're probably just buying time, but they were very easy to work with. No pressure

The new unit was installed outside on a new pad. The evaporator inside the attic was replaced with the larger one. Despite the heat and humidity, they did the work.

Quote was $500 less than full quotes from 3 other companies - WITHOUT THE HEATER FOR "FREE" When the salesman called the next day about my question of their offer, he laughed the entire conversation and told me the price would be $1.200 MORE for the above offer. I have an extremely LONG memory - Hallmark will NOT be at my home, or friend's.

Their prices are really high. I did not like the attitude of the serviceman. He acted like he could charge whatever he wanted to. The first time they came out the person was good. This guy was not.

This experience was good. The serviceman was great. I think your experience depends on the service person as much or more than the company itself. The service person did exactly what I needed without trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need.

It was great! They fixed the problem and it did not cost us an arm and a leg. Even on a weekend!

placed a service request on their website for a ruptured pool pipe. i never received a call to confirm the appointment time so i called the next day. During that call we agreed on a window of time the next day when someone would come to fix the problem. I received a call the next day after the ageed time window and was notified that noone could come to help. If they weren't available to help, it would have been nice for them to tell us that either when we placed the appointment or when we called to schedule a visit. Instead, we waited for them until we were informed that they weren't coming. After posting I immediately received a call from the General Manager apologizing for the mix-up in scheduling. Their response was very professional and I'll be giving them a second chance in the future.

It went great. From start to finish they had excellent customer service. They were on time and the technician (Joe) was very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. Took every precaution to keep my home clean and went the extra mile without nickel and diming me to death.

It was a Saturday. They were very good,. They came right out and fixed it just fine. I was very happy with them.

Kitchen sink was backed up with standing water. I searched Angie's List for companies with good ratings and found a couple that seemed to consider Saturday as a regular work day. I called Hallmark and was told that someone would be at my house between 12 and 7 that evening, but that I would get a call 30 minutes before they arrived. Just as they said, I received a call a little after noon and the technician arrived about 30 minutes later. Edwin (the professional technician) identified the problem and took time to explain to me exactly what he was going to do and what the cost would be. It took him about 30 minutes to do the job which included running the snake through the line. After he released the clog, he took the time to make sure it was completely free as well as a good amount of time cleaning up and placing the items back under the sink as they were before. Overall, you may pay a little bit more for their service but you can't beat having someone come within two hours on a Saturday and not charge you through the nose for the weekend service. Well done Hallmark!

They were really clean and polite technicians. They wore shoe covers when they came in the house which was nice. Other than that, I had no problems with them.

Our a/c blew on one of the hottest days in May. Home Comfort had serviced the unit earlier and told us it probably wouldn't last much longer. And it didn't. I called on Wednesday afternoon the 19th and Walter the service guy was here by 6 pm. On Friday morning, we had a full crew ripping out everything that needed to be removed. The furnace and ductwork were fine -- everything else was replaced. The crew guys wore shoe covers, worked pretty much non-stop, were always smiling and polite. They obviously enjoy their work and it showed. They were finished by 3 and the house was back to cooler than ever by 5. Because we had a service contract, there were no charges for Walter and his call. They offered us financing or payment via credit card. We opted for the latter and earned a discount which, when combined with the discount included in their service contract, saved us 15% or about $800. Fast service, competitive quotes, spotlessly clean installation, and prompt solutions to our problems --if any of them want to run for office, they have our votes!

I was very impressed with this company's response time. We have used Hallmark for several years now. They check our heating and cooling and have replaced our duct work as well.

This company did a pretty good job of routine maintenance, however their emphasis was on selling us new units, both air conditioning and heating. For the air conditioner, they discovered a problem that we had fixed by our home warranty. For the heating, they found a problem that we were not able to confirm even though we had two other companies come out and check the unit. We felt like they were only interested in selling us new equipment and we will not use them again.
