I was pleased with the excellent work performed.

I called in the morning and scheduled a same day appointment for the installation that afternoon. They called a little later and offered an earlier appt since they had a cancellation which was even better for me. They arrived as planned and completed the installation exactly as expected. I wanted a generic black gasket, not the factory chrome trim and Gilbert showed me exactly how it would look prior to sealing it to confirm it was acceptable. Very professional and courteous.

We rent in a 1938 duplex, where the single pane window glass is as thin as paper. While trying to deter a cat that was bothering ours we broke one of the panes. Lone Star Glass is located really close to us so we called them. They came on the day they scheduled. They were a bit delayed, due to a another job that rang long, but they kept us informed and it was not a problem at all. The installer was friendly, talented and professional. I would recommend Lone Star Glass

Lone Star Glass did a beautiful job replacing a shattered storm door glass. The door looks better than ever before. They also went out of their way in cleaning the whole area, since there was glass all over the place. It's a joy doing business with this company.

A service person came out promptly to measure the glass, but it took my mother, my husband and myself phoning repeated times over two weeks to actually get the glass ordered and to have someone come out and install it. When the professional finally came out to install the glass, he was punctual. Although again there was some confusion as I was told that everything was set and that I should expect someone out before 10:00 a.m. the next day. However, the next day the service person called before setting out and as I missed his call, had decided not to come. Luckily I saw the missed call and called back and the service person did come out. The staff was polite and professional, and the price was very fair, but we were without a window on our back door for too long. We then ordered a screen, which came relatively promptly, but is the wrong size and doesn't fit. The staff at this business were kind and seemed very dedicated, but our experience was frustrating. Due to the good reviews on this site, we might give this company another try in the future. Or we may try somewhere else.

The windows where we live are probably as old as the house (ca. 1938), and are super-thin glass in metal frames. One of them broke just from tapping on it to scare off a cat that was taunting ours from outside. Lone Star replaced the window quickly, and Roberto, the installer, was courteous and professional. They were not able to come on the first day that they had suggested, due to another job that ran long, but they kept us informed and we had no problem re-scheduling, and it is now well done.

Lone Star was quick to respond when already cracked panes met an accident to create an urgent problem - glass panes broken out of lower front windows and four dogs always looking for a way to get to the birds in the front yard. After a short hold, I told the Lone Star rep the issue and answered a few questions. I was given an estimate over the phone and assured someone would be out the next day. When I explained the situation, I was told they would do their best to get a technician out same day. Within 40 minutes I got a return call with an estimated arrival time within the next hour! It was actually a bit longer than that, but I was still impressed with their commitment to helping me that same day -- and within hours of my call. That is a big weight off in a stressful situation. When James arrived, he set to work quickly, quietly, and. professionally. He was careful in setting up to minimize damage and glass spread, and thorough in measuring/preparation. When asked questions, he readily explained. While a reserved man of few words, James gets an A+. It was a real pleasure to have such a pro doing the work for us. He instilled the confidence you need when someone is working on a home. There was a bit of an issue with the coupon offered on Angie's list, but when I called in, Chris (and his whole team really) responded with the sort of customer service that will have me recommending them to anyone that needs the services they offer.

A window on the front of my home was broken on Labor Day, 9/3/12. I called several companies who offered emergency window repair and the lowest bid to repair the window was $450.00. I had to drive to El Paso on Wednesday (9/6) to meet my son who was returning from Afghanistan and did not want to leave my home at risk while I was out of town. I called Lone Star Glass early Tuesday morning (9/4) and Lone Star was booked through Friday morning. When I explained my dilemma the man from Lone Star was beyond kind and said that he would do his best to squeeze me as soon as possible. After a few moments he assured me that they would have someone at my home on Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 and that it would be at no extra charge! He then asked me to thank my son for his service. I almost started bawling on the phone! The repairman rang my bell at exactly 4:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon and replaced the broken window for $150. He was courteous and professional and did not complain about squeezing my repair into his overbooked schedule. I cannot complement or thank Lone Star Glass enough for their service at a most emotional time in my life. Would not think of calling another company for repairs, windows, or glass work of any sort.

Used the Hammerly location for a special order piece of glass. They were very quick and had it available the next day. Unfortunately, I measured incorrectly and had to order a 2nd piece. They were just as quick on the 2nd round and even gave me a nice discount. I'd use them again.

Exceptional service! Chris was friendly, helpful, confident and informative when he came out to measure for the shower doors. The men that came to install were very professional and friendly. One of the pieces of the master bath was manufactured incorrectly and the installation was slightly delayed, but we were kept informed and the process was expedited as much as possible. When the correctly sized piece came in, the guys took the previous work down and started from scratch in order to have the final product look perfect . It looked great at the end. We were so happy with the service that we ordered mirrors for the master bath. On that installation the same guys went above and beyond by replacing a mirrored handle on our mirrored closet door without it being part of the plan. The same door would get stuck on the frame from some shifting. The same guys took it upon themselves to sand the edge down fixing the issue. Again, not part of the work quoted. After that, we called them again to cut some mirrors to size in the other bathrooms with the same great service. We even used them to replace a small glass table that broke from our outdoor furniture. We will use them again and again! These small details truly distinguish them from the rest. They have been the only ones that have gone above and beyond to really satisfy their customers and were the BEST experience of our whole remodel........and many can appreciate that remodeling a house is not without stress and frustration. One can see that this company takes pride in what they do and really makes customer satisfaction and workmanship a priority.

Our 6 ft. x 36 in. window was shattered this morning when the yardman hit a rock throwing it into the window. I called Lone Star Glass, explained the situation and within the hour a man was here taking measurements and giving me an estimate. They returned after lunch with the cut glass and installed it. The service could not have been better and for the size of the glass, I think the price was very good.

Great experience from beginning to end. One of the smoothest transactions I've had in a long time. Stopped by Lone Star on the Friday before installation date and was greeted by Rachel at the front desk. She was very helpful and patient in showing me multiple samples of glass for my project. After narrowing it down to a couple, I left with samples and estimate in hand. A few days later, I called and scheduled an appointment. The tech, Jaime, came out measured the cabinets and decided it would be best to remove the cabinet doors and take them to the shop for installation. He neatly wrapped the doors in brown paper and took them away. He informed they should be ready the next day. Although I didn't hear from them the next day, they did call me first thing the following morning and came out shortly after I hung up with them and promptly installed the doors with my beautiful new glass.

They did a great job. They were on time, replaced the window quickly, and cleaned up after they were done.

Justified higher price than others by emphasizing quality American made glass but then arrived for the job with lower quality foreign made glass. Returned 1+ hours later with the proper material. Job seemed to go well but later found rear view mirror loose. Agreed to return to complete the job but didn't call until the next day when I was at work. They did come to my workplace to complete the job. Eventual quality was good.

The glass in a patio door in my home was broken, and I contacted Lone Star Glass on the morning of 4/23/12 based on the "A" rating found on Angies List. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and courteous, and a pleasure to speak with . I explained the situation and that my home was now wide open with this large glass door broken, and asked how quickly someone might be able to come out and replace it. She estimated the cost at $325, but said it would take 2 days to get the glass because it was double pane insulated glass it had to be ordered. She said they would have to come out and measure first, and that would take an additional 2 days, resulting in a total 4-5 day timeframe to replace. I expressed concern saying I had hoped it was something they could do today, but understood if they had to order the component that wouldn't be possible. Now, here comes the confusing part. She then said she understood the importance, and that they could come out later the same day to board up the door and take the measurements, but just to take the measurements (and not board up the door) would take 2 days before someone would be available. I was quite baffled by this, and asked several times to clarify and be sure I understood. Measuring takes 2 days, but boarding and measuring is same day. I then asked if that was because they would be charging extra to board up so they would respond quicker, and she said she didn't know if there would be an additional cost. Regardless whether there was a charge (which I assumed there would be), I asked how quickly then they would be able to do that since I needed to get back to work and couldn't leave the house open. Again, she didn't know, but said she woulud check and call me right back in a few minutes. I provided my mobile number, and then waited around for an hour or so for a callback, before finally calling a friend and asking him to go buy a piece of plywood and bring it over to the house so we could board it up ourselves. It is now 2 days later, and I have still never heard back from Lone Star. Most disappointing.

Called and scheduled appointment for the next afternoon between 1-430pm. Took off work and waited for the technician to arrive - unfortunately, he no-called, no-showed. Called and left a voicemail after hours, asking to be called back the next business day. On the next day, no call back from main office. Called to reschedule the appointment and appointment scheduler said what happened was that I probably missed the call. When I explained that I had given my cellphone (which includes a phone log that did not show any unknown or missed calls), the scheduler became sarcastic stating that he didn't know what had happened after all. Professionalism sure doesn't seem to be a standard with this company. Avoid at all costs.

Wanted a mobile installation. They don't have service trucks, but they were very helpful.

Called in and got a rough estimate over the phone which seemed competitive. Scheduled the job in two days. The installer, Andrew, showed up as planned. He took care of the job efficiently. He then took my order for the replacement screen for the adjacent window when the screen frame fell apart. I will pick that up at their location later. We settled up and Andrew left.

My old door was leaking so I ordered a new shower door from the company. Installation went smoothly. After a few days, I noticed that my new door was also leaking water at the bottom. I called and they sent a contractor (one of the men who did the installation the first time) to inspect. He replaced the drip rail with a different rail made by a different manufacturer. He said the rail that came with my door was straight, but the slanted ones were better. I appreciated the fact that the company sent out the contractor soon after my installation, and that I got a different drip rail at no extra cost. My shower door leak was resolved.

They did a great job. The glass for the tabletop was perfect and the screens were great. I would go to them for any other window or glass needs that I have in the future.
