Lone Star Glass

Description of Work: Lone Star removed a glass shower enclosure that had a broken pane of glass in it. This allowed me time to get another contractor in to resurface the shower pan. Once this was complete, they returned with all new glass and reinstalled the shower enclosure. The work looked great and evidently went a long way to helping me sell the house.

Description of Work: Lone Star Glass replaced a large, double pane, gas filled window for me which is no big deal but I was impressed that they were able to replace the broken pieces on my stained glass front door and match the glass pieces and texture "exactly" for only $140. I was pretty sure it was going to look like a patch job, which would be better than the broken glass but when the gentleman was finished you could not tell that it had been repaired at all. Looks good as new. Couldn't be happier with the results!

Description of Work: Replaced a satin-finished tempered master-bathroom glass panel that had been smashed in by burglars. The C+ rating is due to the nearly 1 month it took from estimate, to pre-paid order deposit (same day as estimate), to finally having the pane installed (almost a month later). Like most glass/window companies, small jobs seem to have low to zero priority (several other vendors would not even bid on the repair, unless the entire window frame was being replaced, so props to them for that!). Prompt estimate, good quality materials and workmanship, very professional staff, just very slow to deliver.

Description of Work: They installed a new 2 inch beveled mirror in my bathroom and it went well. They wore booties and brought two drop cloths. I was very impressed and will recommend them to friends, thanks, Joy Mazzocco

Description of Work: Communication with customers is lacking, or it was in my experience. I tend to be a little "harder" when grading customer service because for 40 years I worked with the public in the medical field and I understand the meaning of customer service and more importantly, communication. The installer, J.C. was very nice. He was on time,did his work quietly and did an excellent job of cleaning up the site.

Description of Work: Lone Star Glass replaced some double paned windows at the house. The first crew weren't able to replace some of the windows and further cracked them. The first crew also ran late, but didn't inform us that was happening until 3 hours after their scheduled arrival time. When they did call, they weren't apologetic. A couple of weeks later, another crew came out and did the job properly. The people in the office were great and I would still use them again as the final product was good and the price reasonable.
