Alex came out in the evening due to my work schedule and gave me an estimate. He was very professional and set my mind at ease on his ability to get the job done. He asked if we had extra bricks, which I was thought was nice instead of trying to charge for more. He asked us to leave them out the day the work was scheduled. They completed the job while I was at work and when I pulled into my driveway I saw the work and it was like driving up to my house for the first time. The work was excellent and you can not tell it was every damaged. Work site was clean and it was like my mistake breaking it and them coming to fix it never happened. Great job Alex and JQ Brick.

They were excellent. I called one day, got someone to meet me at the house with quote same day. They called me the next day to telll me they had a cancellation and could complete the work immediately, which they did. They power cleaned all teh brick work without damaging plants. They cleaned the chimney. They repaired some large cracks in the brickwork in numerous places. I was delighted. Fast service. Professional. Good price. Excellent results. I'm really pleased and will use them again next time I have a need.

The work was done quickly and very professionally. The repair work was so good it's nearly impossible to see where the damage was. I would highly recommend JQ Brick for brick repair work, and would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others.

First I called J.Q. brick and got the office attendant who said I can have a tech call you within one hour; a full day later and still no return phone call. I gave them the benefit of doubt and called back; yet again the office attendant and her one hour call back routine. I asked for a supervisor and she informed me it was an answering service. After apologizing to the woman, I requested a callback?again. I got a call from Rico, the person responsible for my area who said they could do the job for much less than my last estimate. He quoted me $460 whereas the last estimate I had was over $900. I scheduled the work to be completed on a Friday; however it was forecast to rain all day so I assumed it would be rescheduled. Just before noon, I called the office and spoke with Jose (J.Q.) who told me Rico said he had already called to inform me of the reschedule; which was not the case. Rico soon after called me and left a voice mail concerning the reschedule. At this point I was ready to wash my hands of J.Q. and his employee?s untruthful statements. Jose called me back apologizing and assured me he would personally handle this issue, deduct $50 off my proposal, and he would have a crew there first thing Monday morning. The work was completed Monday before I came home at 3 pm and the area was spotless, including my newly mulched flowerbeds; as if the workers were never there. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the masonry work completed at my house; however I would strongly recommend J.Q. Brick address their workers? communication and callback process.

Terrible. Came out for initial estimate , but it took two days for Rigo to come out after canceling two or three times. Then when I called to tell them that I wanted them to do the job, I didn't hear from them. After several calls to all phone numbers that I had, and emails, I got a call from Rigo . Asked for job to be done as soon as they could and Rigo said they would do the job on 5/20/13 and that they met on Friday mornings to schedule their jobs and that he would call me on Friday to let me know what time they would be to my home on Monday. I arranged to take off work to be home on Monday and waited to hear from JQ Brick. Did not hear anything on Friday so began Saturday to call the phone numbers again and finally heard from Winston, who said he was the manager. I related my problems with Rigo. He assured me I would get a call from Rigo soon. Didn't. Texted Winston back and told him I was going to go with another company because I was getting a bad feeling about his company and thanked him. He called immediately and was upset saying he would come to my house himself Monday morning with a crew and that he was going to fire Rigo because this behavior was not acceptable and not the way they operated. Within the hour I got a call from Rigo who was very excited saying he would be to my home Monday, I told him to call his boss and talk to him because Winston was coming himself with a crew and he should talk to Winston. I did not hear from anyone else and was expecting Winston to be here Monday. Early Monday you can imagine my surprise when RIGO appeared at my house with his crew ready to work. Winston did not call to tell me that Rigo would be coming. The last I had heard from Winston was that HE would be here with a crew and that he was very up set with Rigo . Rigo left his crew and they did the job but I won't know if it corrects the leaking problem around the fireplace for some time, but it LOOKS ok. I would not work with them again as they don't seem to know what is going on in their own company. Too unorganized. Did not get an apology , was not told there had been a change in who would be coming to my house......just a bad experience all around.

The price quoted was reasonable for the scope of work. There was a little delay to start due to weather conditions at the time. The guys arrived on site when promised got right to work and did a very professional job. I would use them again and would recommend them for any brick work and repair.

I found J Q Brick Repair & Restoration to do some work on my mother's house. The price was very reasonable and the work performed was EXCELLENT!!!!!! This was a two day job and they worked long days. The men were very polite and professional. I was amazed at how well the repairs turned out. I honestly did not think it was possible without tearing everything down and starting from scratch, but they did it. Looking at it now you can not tell there was ever anything wrong. I just can not express at how impressed I am with the work. If we should ever need brick work done in the future there is no doubt we will use this company again. A+++

They were nice. They came and gave me an assessment on their job. They did their service around my house. They did what they were suppose to do. I had a great experience with them.

They were able to complete the job in one day and even found cracks to be repaired that we hadn't noticed.

They gave me an estimate but never came back to do any work thought I have called three times. They keep informing me that they are busy and will be there. They experience has not been good because I am still waiting for them. They have never called me back; I have called them but they have never responded.

I called to get a quote for the job and was told that someone (I'm leaving his name out) was going to call me back to set up a time to come by. No one ever called. I went with another outfit.

On time for appointment. We had been quoted by two other contractors . This company came up with an alternate solution which cost far less than the other quotes. The process came with a warranty. They arrived on time, completed the job, cleaned up after themselves, were very professional and I was extremely pleased with the results.

Alex came out and gave a verbal estimate. Then, he emailed a written estimate of $680 for the brickwork on the house and another $680 to demolish and rebuild a 13 foot long by 2 feet wide of concrete including installing re-bar and apply pea gravel to match the remainder of my pea gravel patio. My total was $1360 minus $136 for their 10% off Angie's List coupon for jobs over $1000 which brought my total to $1224. I was so pleased with their work that I asked Alex to do an additional job of demolishing a walkway in the backyard and putting down new re-bar and concrete. Alex called his concrete guy, Jaime, and they quoted me $680. This time Alex asked for the cost of the concrete $150 upfront which I gave him. The next day Jaime and his helper showed up and completed the job. I was once again pleased with their work. I gave Jaime a check made out to him for a final payment of $450 out of which I had subtracted the concrete deposit and a $50 Angie's List coupon for all jobs over $500. The following week Jaime and his helper came back to remove the form boards from the walkway. There is the only one thing that bothers me about my second job with J.Q. When Jaime came out to remove the form boards, he asked me to call Alex. I assumed this was to notify Alex that the form boards had been removed. Instead Jaime whose English is very limited, wanted Alex to tell me that I was only allowed to use one Angie's List coupon. However, as I explained to Alex there is no where on the coupon where it says that a customer is allowed one coupon usage only. I used the 10% coupon for the first job which totaled $1360. This particular coupon is for 10% off for all jobs over $1000. And, I used the $50 coupon for the second job which totaled $680. This second coupon is for $50 off for all jobs over $500. As I explained to Alex I used 2 separate coupons for 2 separate jobs. And, no where does it say that it is one coupon per customer. Nor was I verbally told before hand that Angie's List customers are only allowed one coupon per customer. Because of this coupon misunderstanding I have had to lower my rating on professionalism. If only one coupon is allowed per Angie's List customer, then it needs to be clearly printed on the bottom of the coupon so there will be no misunderstanding on the customer or company's part.

No follow-up. Gave me a verbal estimate - told me he would call on Friday to tell me when the work could be done. I waited all day and no one called. Will have to find another, more responsible, professional, company to do the work.

The sales representative arrived time on the appointment date. We did a walk down of the house perimeter. The rep pointed out the openings on the chimney wall of which I had not previously noticed. He offered recommendations. The rep emailed the quotation on the same day. The two-man crew arrived on time on the agreed upon date. They was organized and moved through the repair and power wash without delay or problems. The job was completed in approximately 4 hours. The brick work looks as fresh as it did 30 years ago.

If I ever need brick work @ my home again I WILL call JQ Brick to do the work!!

I had a car hit my brick wall that surrounds my home, completely demolishing it. After several estimates that were in my mind "SHADY CONTRACTORS" I looked up Mr Quintero, Jq Bricks and after he came out and I met him I knew right away he was the right one for the job. He gave me a written estimate the same day, which was by far better that the others. He had my wall up in an acceptable amount of time and worked with me the whole way. He had his crew carry off the damaged bricks the same day so there wasn't any debris in my yard and they even worked Saturday so that my family and I would feel safe. I can't say enough of the great experience I had with his company. Mr Quintero was an answer to my prayers! They gave us the estimate and didn't charge anymore. They matched the brick very nicely and I have recommended them to others.

i hate when people are late. i have a job.

The owner, Jose Quintero, came out to look at the job before providing an estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable and nice. He stated that his crew could search around Houston to find matching brick for my 1940's home. Note: Jose and one other contractor both told me that the brick is no longer manufactured; one other contractor told me I would never find it and I would have to settle for something close but not exactly the same color, size or texture. Jose sent a professional bid via email - it was typed up and outlined the cost per task. He worked with me on cutting out portions of the work (I decided to fix some cracked steps later), and adding the task of bricking in the window unit hole. I accepted, and about one week later, he sent a full crew out to begin work. Note that I had removed and framed in the windows prior to their arrival, so they did no carpentry - only the masonry part of the job. His crew barely spoke English, but that didn't matter because they knew exactly what they were doing. They needed no supervision (even though I kept checking on them just in case). The entire job took about 2.5 days. The work they did was impeccable. I watched as they dyed the mortar to color-match the existing mortar on the house. The bricks they arrived with were nearly an exact match for my brick, except that they had more lighter colors (mine is a mix of orange/yellow/light brown). They solved this by going brick by brick and painting every fifth brick or so with a reddish masonry dye. By the time they were done, it was nearly a perfect match. You have to look really hard to tell that the bricks were added later. My only complaint is that the arch that had collapsed, after being repaired, was still a little off - but there's only so much you can do with something damaged that badly. After I complained to the foreman, he spent another hour chipping, painting, and making it look a little better.

I would recommend them and give them straight A's. They are very good and I will use them again in the future.
