Description of Work: as you can imagine, getting everything out of the first floor so they could sand and then seal multiple times is a challenge. These guys were very accommodating and provided a couple options on how to best handle the job.

Description of Work: I had purchased my wood from a large floor company and needed an installer. I found Joe's Flooring on Angie's List. They got great reviews, so I called them up. Everything worked out very well. I had to delay the installation, and they were OK with that. When I was ready, they were too. The men came on time, did their jobs quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company. Friendly, responsive and did an excellent job. Thanks!

Description of Work: We purchased a home that needed the hardwoods refinished and new tile in the kitchen and we wanted this all done before we moved in. I researched numerous companies and Joe's Hardwood Floors was my first choice (and had the best price), however, my designer had recommended another company and they could do the tile floors, too, so I decided to hire them so that I would have only one contractor. Big mistake! They totally messed up our hardwoods....my designer had used them many times but was mortified by the work they had done for us. I then called Joe's Hardwoods to come in and fix their mistake. Rob was awesome! He came in and fixed our floors quickly so that we could move in on time! The staff was on time, professional, and clean and our floors look great. I would highly recommend this company!

Description of Work: First, let me say that refinishing the hardwoods of your home is a big project vs. a rent house or a home you do not occupy. Overall, Joe Hardwood did a good job and their price was competitive. We wanted a dark stain and paid the extra $ for the alcohol pre-treatment. Even so, the first stain went on very blotchy and uneven. They responded immediately to our concerns by testing diff. options and we agreed to pay a little more for the entire floor to get a 2nd coat of stain. The final results were super. | |I do have some criticisms. First, our family room features a brass-plated electrical outlet in the floor. We had to ask them to go back over this area by hand as their sander had gauged the floor. The tech did re-work this area but it bugged me that I had to ask them to fix something that was an obvious and visible problem. Second, while our contract said to expect to touch up painted baseboards and trim work, we found out that "touch up" means re-painting every bit of trim work. All the baseboards and all the doorway trim (yes, brown-stain handprints left behind by the techs), which means you pretty much have to re-paint all the window trim as well so it matches. Finally, our fireplace includes a slate surround and hearth and the floor sander chipped the slate tiles. | |I would consider using this company again but, as I told them after the job was done, they need more attention to detail, especially when working in someone's personal home.

Description of Work: I contacted Joe Hardwood back in 2012 for an estimate to install onsite sand/stain hardwood floors throughout my downstairs.. Joe was very prompt to return my call and followed-up with his estimate. I got several bids before making my decision. After much debate, I decided to go with another contractor, however, Joe would have been my 2nd choice. He was very professional. He gave me several references and all gave him excellent reviews. While I am completely satisfied with my finished project, I would definitely hire Joe in the future.

Description of Work: Robert gave us a reasonably priced bid to install, refinish, and repair hardwood floors throughout our 4500 sq ft Tanglewood home. They did an excellent job with minimal dust and worked with us to accommodate our move in. The floors turned out beautifully! I would highly recommend them!.

Description of Work: I flooded our laundry room floor which was next to the hardwood floors that had been just installed a couple of weeks ago. My husband took up the transition piece between our laundry room and kitchen to clean up the water. We called the company about a week after the flood. They came out the next day and replaced the transition piece free of charge.

Description of Work: I wanted to replace the carpet on my stairs with hardwood. I wanted the wood on the steps to match the wood on the railing and the risers to be painted white to match the staircase. I called and was quoted a price over the phone. The one negative is that they do not do any painting. I did call another company that was recommended but their price (with painting) was $6500. We do have a painter that we use so we decided to go with Joe's. We were very pleased. It took two days. Most of the work was done outside so the mess was very minimal. They did an excellent job and we were very happy.

Description of Work: Rob Navon"s crews removed old carpet and installed bamboo flooring in our guest bedroom....... professional work and excellent results...... we are now arranging for them to do the same job in our den.

Description of Work: We had 1200 sq feet of hardwood floors installed in our Meyerland area home. He had to rip up improperly installed floors that were buckling, dry out and prepare the slab and install new floors.

Description of Work: Refinished the ENTIRE 1000 sq ft of original heart pine (red pine) flooring of my 1920s heights bungalow and made a few repairs with salvaged wood.
