Description of Work: Quick, efficient and fair service. Pricing was competitive, with no trip charge, $85/hr + parts (fair price) + valve locator service. We had them check our system, replace a handful of nozzles, combine 2 zones to fix one that wasn't working and repair an underground leak. Total time of 3 hours.

Description of Work: Showed up on time, raised a few sprinkler nozzles, added drip irrigation to four potted plants, adjusted entire system, I'm happy.

Description of Work: I called IDS to repair a sprinkler that had gotten broken during a patio install. This is the third time I have used IDS and they have been great every time. They are not always on time because they don't leave a job until it is done. For this job it was a minor matter but when Michael was getting ready to leave (after testing the system) he noticed a wet spot in the yard. Turns out the main valve was cracked to the whole sprinkler system. He gave me a quick quote and got right on it. I know this made him late to another job but he was great. They are my go to guys for the sprinklers.

Description of Work: Michael and a team member came to our house today (as scheduled and on time). They reviewd our existing sprinkler system, repared and adjusted sprinkler heads as required, and resolved an over-watering problem we had. I had asked that Michael separate two stations as one area on the same station was being over-watered and the other was being under-watered. Michael determned that the fix was far more simple... turn off two of the sprinkler heads in the over-watered area that was actually being watered by two stations. The two showed me exactly what they did and how to turn on either sprikler head if I found this necessary. Done. Quite frankly,Michael could have run up costs by doing the station separtion I had asked him to do. But this was not necessary. Thanks Michael.

Description of Work: They fixed a very small leak I had on one of my valves, and helped teach me about my system (which is extremely old). They then tried and determine where the rest of my valves were because they are all heavily buried under years and years of sediment build up. I bought the house two years ago and have been bringing it back to normal. They found another valve and boxed it. We decided it wasn't worth the effort at this time to find the others, but rather wait and see how long the others last before they leak themselves. I just need to be prudent on checking my sprinkler system. They also fixed a broken pipe some landscapers broke which I didn't notice until after these guys left to fix the original stuff, so I called them back and they came right away. Very knowledgable, friendly, and reasonably priced. Would call them again for sprinkler work though I hope to not have to for a long time.

Description of Work: We had a lawn irrigation system installed in early May 2012 approx.. Very pleased with Micheal who my hubsand and I always spoke to on the phone. He is very well spoken and professional. It is a huge plus that you work out cost, paymert, installation date, questions with only Micheal. We were always treated respectively and personally. Very likeable and easy to talk to. My husband and I felt that the price was fair and reasonable. We strongly felt that Micheal was not one to try to add a little extra cash to his pocket at our expense. $3,000 is a lot of money for my husband and I so we try to cut cost where possible. Michael took his time to help us look at options that would have helped save us some money. Basically, we felt that the charge for our yard, which is a much larger than usual corner lot, was a good deal. I checked NA because my husband nor I have ever priced the cost of an irrigation system before so I don't feel educated enough to score this area with full certainty. However, I have not doubt that it would be an A or B. My husband estimated that it would cost around $ 3, 000 before we had the company do the actual estimate. Quality of the finished product is exceptional!!!! We could NOT be happier. Of course, they had to trench the yard which about killed my husband because his grass is his baby. He was concerned about how torn up the lawn would look and the matter of time that it would take to get back to its original state. OH MY!!!! We were amazed at how beautifully the yard looked when the employees finished the project. All I can say is BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL!!!! Could NOT be happier! Of course, most importantly, the sprinklers are wonderful. The water from the sprinklers covers all of the yard with out spraying into the street or other unwanted areas. The timers work perfectly! We have not had any problem with the quatlity of work or product. Again, Exceptional! There are just a couple of reasons that I scored responsiveness as a B. I had called and left a message and never heard back from anyone. I waited a little over a week and left another message and I did immediately get a call back. The only other glitch had to do with the date of installation. My husband was originally told that the work would start on a Monday. . However, a couple of weeks later I received a call saying that they would be out on Thursday, a couple of days later than what we were originally told. We did not say anything though because the date amd times still worked for us. We also know that this is an extremely busy time of year and everybody if human. All of those that we had scheduled appt. or work time with were always punctual. They were even early on the day that they started. We were called to make sure that the time would not be a conflict for us. In the past, I have had a number of employees show up early. However, NEVER had one call to make sure that the earlier time would be convenient. Very curtious. As stated above, professional manner of all employees exceeded expectaions. I will most difintly recommend them to anyone wanting to have a sprinkler system put in. My husband and I will most certainly call them again if we need any of the services that the company offers. Rereading my letter, I would make one suggestion to the company. The companies message on their voicemail was a tad difficult for me to understand. The first time I contacted the company, I called and then immediately recalled to make sure that I had the correct number before leaving a message. I would suggest that the voicemail be rerecorded so that it better represents the exceptional and professional work that the company does. .Hats off to all of those at Irrigation Design Services!

Description of Work: Checked out my sprinkler system, made repairs where needed, added heads where needed.

Description of Work: Put a new sprinkler control system in and made a great suggestion to put it on the side of the house. I was told a new control was around $180 and a pair (maybe 3-4) extra stations would be another $50 or so. They changed out some bad heads which I appreciated. They need to explain the TOTAL price better; labor was excluded when we were talking numbers. I was expecting the new control system to be around maybe $250-270 and was shocked when I got a bill over $600.Did good work and would use them again BUT I will get the TOTAL price INCLUDING labor next time before making a decision.

Description of Work: The Owner was very responsive, courtious and prompt. He emmedietly went to inspect the site and prepaires a proposal and within 5 days I had an installed quality sprinkling system. The site was left so clean that I actually had to look to see if the work was done. Very Good service and work.

Description of Work: Michael was very professional. I have a very large yard. He installed irrigation in both the front and back yards. He came in with his crew, did the work being sure to not damage any grass or plants unnecessarily, When the job was complete, they cleaned up putting the grass they removed back in place over the piping neatly. They then did a full testing to make sure all sprayers were working properly and aimed at the appropriate area. I like that he gave me a three year warranty. Michael then gave me complete instructions on how to use the equipment and what to do in case of a problem. I have recommended him to friends and will continue to do so. Thanks, Angie!

Description of Work: I called on tuesday and explained my problem. Made appointment for 10am wednesday. They arrived on time and found the main line to the sprinkler system had cracked causing a huge leak. Installed new underground pipes and rewrapped the pressure relief valve. great service.

Description of Work: After the system had been installed for over a year, I experienced a problem with one zone. I called Michael, he had one of his guys fix it. Good warranty!

Description of Work: CAME OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE. HE WAS ABLE TO GIVE ME A WRITTEN ESTIMATE ON THE SPOT, WHICH WAS FINE, BUT SUBSEQUENT TO RECEIVING THE ESTIMATE HE TOLD ME THAT I DID NOT HAVE A FRENCH DRAIN INSTALLED IN MY BACKYARD. SUBSEQUENT TO THE ESTIMATE, THE FORMER OWNER CAME BY THE HOUSE AND SHOWED ME WHERE THE FRENCH DRAIN EMPTIES ONTO THE STREET.
