Contact response and scheduling was all immediate. Called in afternoon and installed next morning. We thought that the additional $400 for attic installation was excessive because ours was a full-door walkout with flooring from our upstairs family room.

We found out our old gas water heater had started to corrode away on the bottom and leaking. We found Houston Water Heaters on Angie's List and called. They were able to make an appointment to come out the next day. They guys showed up during the 2-hour window they gave us and worked quickly. The old heater was disconnected and hauled off. The new one was installed with some new parts; they briefed me on everything. My only complaint: they drained the old heater into our upstairs tub but didn't rinse it out, leaving a bit of a mess behind. Overall though, we're very pleased and would happily do business with this company again.

Excellent experience! Called their office in the morning and by dinner time, we had 2 new Rheem water heaters! I thought the pricing was quite fair and the installers were very courteous and super clean. great, we were originally scheduled for installation right in the middle of Hurricane Harvey, they got back with me right away to reschedule, I had to cancel and reschedule several times because of my family's changing work schedule during and immediately after Harvey, and the company was responsive and polite and flexible.

It was very painless. I made the appointment, they showed up on time, stood by the price, did a good job putting it in and they came with everything they needed. I paid for what I got. I got good quality. I am good with paying for quality. They cleaned up everything well when they were done. They laid down their own tarps. This was not their first job and it was obvious. I would recommend them. You will pay for what you get and it is good.

I went to ARS-HomeDepot first but was less than impressed, then thought I'd better check Angie's List. Phone service was what I needed to close the deal and the whole thing was done in 24hrs! Nice! ps: Can't stand that we pay a tax for a city inspector to come check the install!

Team of 2 quickly replaced water heater and left no mess. They also had to return to the warehouse and get a different heater after the 1st one didn't fit based on the information I gave them, and did so without complaint. Very professional team.

The installer called a day ahead to confirm the times and locations. Showed up on time, worked diligently and did a good job. Price was best I could find for 12 year 40 gallon units. Plus they corrected several issues I had with the previous installations and included new drip pans and leak alarms

Arrived on time, got right to work. Explained the job and the new water heater. Cleaned any mess and were out the door in less than 2 hours. I could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish! PLUS I got the same heater other companies quoted at double the price. Perfect!!

Old gas water heater sprung in internal leak late Thursday night. Checked Angie's List first thing the following morning and saw a listing for a local company named Houston Water Heaters. I called abut 10 a.m. and spoke with Frank. I explained my situation and he spent all the time necessary to discuss in detail all of my options and to answer all of my questions, including what to expect price wise for this type of job. He had a Rheem unit on sale at a very good price that would fit my needs perfectly. The price of the unit, plus installation and taxes, totaled a flat fee of $799.00. His crew was available to come by later the same day so we made an installation appointment for 2 p.m. His crew called me at noon and said they finished their other job early and could come by earlier if I was available. The two-man crew arrived at the time they said they would, and explained the entire installation process before starting the job. Unfortunately, the unit that needed replaced was almost 17 years old and was not installed up to normal building code. To bring it up to code required replacing the old gas valve, the flue pipe, and the water control valve, all of which added an extra $275.00 to the original $799.00 cost. I had no problem with the added expense as I knew any reputable plumber would have to follow current building codes, and I was aware the old unit was likely installed cutting corners. No one likes to spend over $1000.00 on surprise home repairs, but all things considered I still feel I got a very good deal. This company offers excellent customer service, has friendly, knowledgeable staff, and the two installers were friendly and very professional as well. Everyone I spoke with willingly offered relevant and useful information and were above board. The installers thoroughly cleaned up the area when they were done and spent time with me going over the details of the new unit. I feel at ease knowing my gas water heater is now up to current standards.

I found the addition to be a bit expensive, but on the other hand, when the city inspector came in and she was like, "you need to do this", I was happy with that. They actually came and actually called the city to make sure to do it correctly, so even though it was a bit expensive, I really appreciated that they called the city and verified the code and how it needed to be done instead of just doing it and having to redo it again. That overshadowed the price. It was expensive, but it was alright. It was good.

Our water heater died on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, we found Houston Water Heaters on Angie's List. We saw that their listing had a "Super Service Provider" badge, so we called them. We made our initial contact with them between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. We were a bit surprised when they told us that they would be able to take care of the situation the same day. True to their word, by 1:30, their truck was leaving, taking the old water heater with them. The newly installed water heater is an excellent Rheem unit rated 4.5 stars on several websites. The installers were both personable and professional. One of them explained what they were going to do while the other brought in tools and hardware from the truck. The installation went quickly and smoothly. They also changed out the gas and water shutoff valves with no extra charge. Finally, one of the installers showed us exactly what had been done and made sure that we were happy while the other packed up tools and cleaned up the area. Houston Water Heaters completely resolved our situation in a timely manner at a reasonable price. They sold us an excellent quality water heater which was installed by a thoroughly professional crew. We will definitely recommend them to any friends and neighbors who run into water heater problems.

These guys are professional from the first phone call to the end of the installation. Steven took his time to explain the options available, the differences between different brands, the big store brands, and their entire all inclusive installation service and pricing. His plumber even called me to confirm the unit ordered when he was loading his truck to double check before he left for my house. I called mid morning and they were at my house at 1230 and finished before 2 the same day..! They replaced all water lines, new water shutoff valve, gas line, overflow line, installed a drain pan, new vent tube, overflow alarm, and the water heater has a metal drain valve as opposed to the plastic ones in the big box stores. The crew was neat, cleaned up after themselves and are truly professionals, no up selling. Glad I found them. Water heater was on ground floor in garage. Would definitely recommend them. I think they provided a better quality water heater at a reasonable price.

I called Steve around 8 pm last Friday. He was so knowledgeable, straightforward, and very patient answering my questions. Surprisingly, I read so many wonderful reviews about the company on Angie’s List (Steve did not mention this at all). Since I knew nothing about choosing hot water heaters, I was concerned and totally stressed out. After I discussed with Steve and read others’ great reviews, I knew that I could rely on Steve to help us to choose the right model/type. I quickly cancelled another appointment and purchased 3 hot water heaters. The installation went so smoothly. David and Louis are very friendly, professional, and helpful. They did an excellent job! Mostly, David unblocked one drain pipe, and they installed the new drain pans slightly higher than the drain pipes, which could have helped to prevent the previous water heater pan’s overflowing. We do appreciate the fact that the crew went the extra mile to help us, and we’ll certainly call Houston Water Heaters again if we need to install the tankless water heaters down the road. Thank you!

Everything went great. After reading numerous reviews I called and spoke to Steve, who was very easy to talk to. I told him about the history and we discussed various options. I immediately knew I had finally called the right company. His crew came out the next day, (on a weekend!) and got the job done. The crew was friendly, professional, and got the job done in less than 3 hrs. I was also impressed with the quality of the install and how they cleaned up, including taking away the old unit. The best part was the price. Like they said, they specialize in water heaters; I had gotten 2 other quotes from other plumbing companies that were each over $1000. more for the same job and product! Houston Water Heaters charged a fair price, did great work, and did it on a weekend! Thanks again!
