The installer ran a little late, but I did get a phone call letting me know that he'd be about 30 minutes behind. The installer hooked up my surround (I had old cables and he replaced with new) --- he made it sound better than it ever had before. He did a great job and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. He explained the services he performed and gave me a brief tutorial on how to use my remotes with the new sound set up. Very well worth the money to save me all the aggravation to try to do it myself.

I was very impressed at the level of detail the installers went to to ensure that each tv was in just the right place. The two installers did a very professional job at a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend them.

Requested an estimate over the phone and initially asked them to provide the two new TVs and a new receiver along with wall mounts for two TVs. After checking prices we found we could buy the TVs cheaper ourselves so we did that instead. There was absolutely no pressure to buy their equipment. We set up the date about ten days after we settled on the service and Brent came out to do the work. There was a little hiccup due to the wrong receiver being sent but it did not have a serious impact on the time. Brent did everything discussed and adjusted the bid accordingly for the changes we made that day. The work took about 6 hours overall. That includes having to go back and get the right receiver and reviewing the remotes with my husband multiple times. Net impact on changes made on price was break-even. I did forgot to remind Emily I was an Angie's List customer so did not get the 10% labor discount. Remember to let them know! Overall, very pleased with the outcome and Brent's service.

Houston Custom Installers were pretty good. They are very good at responding. It is web-based so every now and then they have technical issues like servers going down. They are local company which is good. It is pretty easy to get a response. They do lots of different things, mostly around automation, so if you want your stereo or your lights automated they do that.

These guys were very professional -- the installation looks great. They had great attitudes and were excellent problem solvers - they listened to us and had solutions for pretty much everything we threw at them. Would highly recommend.

Timely arrival. Completed work in estimated 4 hours, which included a ridiculous but expected amount of time with Comcast on the phone.

Installation went bad but it was due to the installer, company made everything right in the end but was a painful experience none the less. Equipment pricing a bit high but since I did not want to deal with it that was ok for me.

HCI came to my new home before it was completed, did a survey and made recommendations. Upon agreeing the work scope and components to be installed, 2 technicians had the system running in less than one day. Several TV's were involved including one that was in my previous home. All work was completed to my satisfaction and they were careful to clean up and explain all of the services they had completed. Subsequent visits were made and the technicians always arrived on time, wore booties over their shoes, had all of their needed tools and cleaned up. I will call them any time I need additional work and would recommend them to my friends and associates.

I moved into a new house and needed all of my tv's mounted on the walls. The installer was professional and cleaned up when he was done.

He came out right away. The guy was real nice. He was going to get back to me in two days with the quote on what we needed done, but it took him two weeks.

It was horrible.

They were very professional, young men that came in and they knew exactly what they needed to do. They had to drill holes in the wall and they got their own sweeper to clean up after themselves. Everything was done to our liking; it was just very professional.

Houston Custom Installers were recommended to us by the company that did our relocation. They came out and gave free estimate. Although it was higher then the other estimates we got they were the only company that offered a no price change guarantee. We bought all of our equipment from them which was all fairly priced and I know because I shopped everything. They were about 10% below retail but a little more then amazon but they were safer so it all balanced out. They finished our project on time and within 10% of quote even though we upgraded a few things and they under quoted a thing or 2. Over all it was a great experience from the time we called to the time we wrote the check. We will use them again.

The price was the biggest thing. Their price was $150 to mount the TV, and run the wires around the wall. Other companies charge $300 or more. Plus, they won't use another company to mount. The price made a huge difference. The guy that came out was on time. He showed up at 9:00am to do work. He cleaned up after himself. He put shoe covers on his shoes. The installer was nice and professional. He knew what he was doing.
