The two installers arrived about an hour late to the appointment. They greeted themselves and were very cordial. After showing them the brackets and locations to the tvs they went ahead and began. They wall mounted a total of 3 tvs all of which look great. They were very quick, finishing in about an hour. There was a 50 dollar truck charge to come out to Dickinson which seems a bit much.

Houston Custom Installers did a fantastic job installing outdoor speakers and running the accompanying wires through the attic and into the media closet of my house. When they arrived, I told them where I wanted my outdoor speakers mounted and where I wanted the speaker wires terminated. They were able to wire everything exactly as I had hoped they could. Their workers work quickly and efficiently, while still paying attention to details and making sure they do the job right. I am 100% satisfied with the job they have done, and I will be calling them again in the future when I have other things that need to be installed in my house. I have also recommended Houston Custom Installers to multiple friends looking to have similar work done in their homes.

I called them on Monday, and they came out yesterday, and did a phenomenal job. They have absolutely wonderful customer service, and they got back to me to schedule the appointment, and the guy who came to the house was really nice. It was just a good experience. I forgot to tell them that I was an Angie's List member, so that I could get the 10% discount. He was punctual, he actually came out early.

Excellent from start to finish! I called Houston Custom Installers after researching quite a bit on a unique home theater idea. I have a large multi-function room upstairs that I wanted to make into a home theater but have the ability to make it disappear when not in use. Jose came out and we discussed the options and the solution was perfect! The installation day was equally as smooth although it was a long day for the guys, the outcome was extraordinary. THX 3D Blu Ray 7.1 surround in-ceiling/in-wall speakers is more than I expected. Great job Houston Custom installers!!! I would recommend them to anyone.

After reviewing Angie?s List, I called these guys and they gave me an estimate and a schedule. The installer arrived on time and performed the installation well. He hung the projector, ran the HDMI cable from the projector from the ceiling and through my wall, as well as putting in a ceiling mounted power outlet. He was also polite and courteous and went beyond his tasks to help me in tidying the place afterwards. He also adjusted the projector to align with the screen which I had already hung. I would use them again. Good service.

The guy came on time, professional and did a good job of mounting the TV. He was able to run the wires behind the wall. Overall it was good service. Would recommend to others

The technicians were about 30 minutes late arriving within the two hour window given the day before but once they were there they moved quickly and did a good job removing our old TV and mounting the new one. Courteous, professional staff. Was happy they could come out on a Sunday afternoon on short notice. Would use again.

Overall great job. Fast and very professional. Cleaned up the mess from sheet rock. Cleaned TV and tidied up all wires.

First off, I am one the biggest critics out there and I will let you know if I am not happy. That said, I can't stop talking about this company in a positive way. They were the most professional, courteous company I have ever worked it. They were on-time, Jose was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Everything went smoothly and on time. The only issue we had was having a TV that was too small so we had to exchange it for a bigger one. These guys waited patiently and when we brought the replacement TV, they hooked it up, hooked up my PS4 and the best piece, the 7.1 awesome sound system. Highly Recommend these guys!!!

They hanged a couple of plasma tv at the house on seperate days. The real bad experience I had was the first time we were schelduled they never showed up. So, I called them back and they made another appointment with me and gave me my angies list discount and an additional 10% off. Who cares, when you didn't do anything that whole evening cause you were waiting for them. Another issue, they installed my wall mount not right and it doesn't tilt cause of their installation fiasco.

A former Houston Custom Installers employee showed up trying to bid the job poising as a representative of the company. I will revise this post after meeting with the real representative in the next 48 hours.

Anthony arrived at the appointed time. He was presentable and personable. Call them, he was great!

The Tech did a great job. He was on time and went right to work. He completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. He also provided advice on another TV. We experienced a malfunction with a remote and he took our call on a Sunday and told us how to fix the problem.

Mike arrived on time, actually slightly early. he listened to my desires for the two rooms in which the TVs were to be mounted. he went to work quickly. we had very pleasant (laughable) conversation during the install. the bracket that i purchased online was not appropriate for the large TV that was to be mounted in the living room. Thankfully Mike had the right type on his truck. He didnt even charge me for the bracket. Instead he allowed us to swap out. even better, i purchased a wall shelving system to hold the audio and cable boxes. Mike assembled and installed that equipment as well for a steal of a price. a second technician arrived who went to work on mounting the second TV. negative: i have none to report. i will definitely use them again!!!! positive: the entire process!!!

Jose did an excellent job. He is very professional.

Houston Custom Installers was great to deal with. They were super easy to schedule with, they did a very good job explaining the work that they would do and about how long it would take and cost. They also offered a great bracket for a reasonable $99. The installers (2) called ahead of time and within the timeframe they gave me. They even unboxed the TV, took out the remotes, and cleaned up all the trash afterwards. I was very pleased with my experience and would not hesitate to recommend them. The install looks great with all the wires hidden behind the wall!

Brent did a fantastic job. He cleaned up after himself and gave suggestions to help things look better.

It did not go well. I never heard back from this place -- even after I called them back to get an expectation around quote timing. I can understand if you are busy, but no response is just inexcusable. Places like this should not be an Angie's List award winner. I even waited to post this review to give them an extended opportunity to respond. UPDATE: 8/26/2013 Following the posting of this review on 8/10, Houston Custom Installers immediately acknowledged the mix up. It seems the quote was originally sent to the wrong email box. During our subsequent interactions, they have been accommodating, responsive, and have routinely followed-up. We have been working together to define and scope a project. It seems that they were genuinely sorry for the mistake. I can accept a company that admits a mistake and does what it can to make it right for the customer. Thus far, Houston Custom Installers has done that. UPDATE 9/28/2013: Work went well. Jose and Becky did a great job. They encountered some challenges in the ceiling but were able to overcome them and complete the job. As much as they tried to avoid it, we ended up having some of our drywall patched. Houston Custom Installers put us in contact with the guy they use and the ceiling and wall look good as new. I am pleased that we were able to work through our initial communication challenges and the results speak for themselves. We are happy with the work that was done, and I have already recommended them to a friend looking for a home theater installation.

Technicians did a awesome job. They were very knowledgeable, neat and courteous. Highly recommend this company.

Mario arrived on time and did very good job. He had to make two trips because first was broken in shipment. He was very patient and understanding.

The 2 guys showed up on time and were very friendly. They asked the right questions and answered all of my questions. I could not be happier with the outcome of the job. The bracket was placed perfectly and the wires were concealed. So, if I ever need another TV mounted in my house, I am going to call Houston Custom Installers.

The installation of our 46" TV was completed in a professional manner even thought the contractor had a busy schedule - he did stay and complete the work as promised. The TV was placed at just the correct angle and leveled. The components were moved to the specifications of my husband, who was present throughout the installation. This is one job that I did not want my husband to take on, and I am glad I called Houston Custom Installers. We are very pleased with the installation and professionalism of the contractor.

The guys were on time and professional. They explained the situation of mounting both TVs at the right eye level and went through the whole installation process prior to starting work. When they mounted the brackets they checked with us again to make sure everything was correct and confirmed height. They helped hook up two consoles and explained what the cable company needs to do when they show with my internet and cable. They were efficient and cleaned up everything. Nicely done.
