Guardian Windows

Marty came to my home and discussed the scope of what I wanted done. He showed me a sample window and provided me with an estimate, which I accepted. Ron came to my home early one morning before I left for work to measure. Not only had I recently had foundation work done, but the window openings on three sides of a patio were not particularly plumb. When Ron measured, he told me that he would replace the exterior trim so that they looked even from the outside. This was for an additional cost. Carol kept me apprised of the delivery date when the windows were delivered. We were able to schedule the installation for several days later. The total time of the installation was about one day, although it took place over two days. Ron and his crew did a fabulous job at solving a number of problems, and I couldn't be more pleased. The new windows look great and I am especially excited to see how the windows help lower my utility bill this summer. Many thanks to Marty, Carol, Ron and his crew!

After I contacted Guardian Windows, Marty met with me at the agreed upon time and provided an estimate. He answered the questions I had in a clear and concise manner. He showed me a sample of the window he was bidding. We discussed a couple of options. Once we reached an agreement and I signed a contract, David showed up the same day to do the detailed measurements. Marty estimated that the windows would arrive and be installed the first week in May. On May 2nd, David called to schedule delivery of the windows and we agreed that he would start the work on May 6th. He estimated 2.5 to 3 days to complete the job. It was done in 2.5 days - including cleanup. I very much appreciated David's high level of communication with me. He always gave me a date and time for the next step and always met that commitment. He also would call and confirm. Once David, Eddie and Joe started the work, they showed up promptly each morning and worked straight from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. with only a 30 minute break for lunch. I definitely admired their work ethic and how they worked as a team. They thoughtfully planned out their work and minimized the disruption to my home - especially in my office and the kitchen. David would answer my questions patiently and he asked a few times during the project whether I was happy with the work so far. I am very happy with the windows and the quality of the installation. David told me to call him if I find anything that I am not happy with and assured me that he would address my concern promptly. I believe that he will be true to his word.

Every aspect of working with Guardian went well, from initial estimate, answering questions, scheduling installation, to a professional installation and great clean up. About a month ago, I contacted Marty (owner) who provided me with a competitive bid to replace all the windows in a 30 year old house. Carol kept me informed during the entire process (setting up measuring and installation) and the windows arrived ahead of schedule. On the day of installation, Ron and his crew arrived on time and went to work. Even though the house gave them several installation challenges, Ron, his crew and their combined knowledge and experience ended in a job that exceeded my expectations.

Ron and his crew did a great job. They arrived at 6:30 A.M., replaced over 20 windows, and were finished by 11:30 a.m. I had enough time to get our truck inspected and shave/shower (both badly needed). I would recommend them to anyone.

Demonstration of the product options was well-presented. Once the order was placed the windows were received in about three weeks and installed in one day. The installation crew was very efficient and professional.

We needed windows that were well-insulated and could withstand all of Houston heat and new found cold weather as well. We met with several window companies through Angie's List to get quotes. Marty explained his products and prices and showed us pictures of some previous jobs on his iPad. We hired Marty on the spot because we felt like we could trust him and his process and also had the best quality of windows that we found. Once our windows were ordered, Carol contacted us to schedule drop off dates for the windows. She was incredible to work with because we really wanted the windows to be kept in our garage before the installation. She worked with me through and through to get an ideal installation date set up and when the manufacturer could drop off the windows. It ended up being that the window drop off schedule wasn't working out, so Carol kept the windows for us in her garage until the install day! Thank you - it was a big help. Ron and his crew came to install our windows and they were incredible. Very knowledgable about what they do, Ron is a great communicator and explained the process as it was happening. I have had horrible experiences with windows installation over the years and this by far was the best construction-type experience I have ever had. They were promptly here at 6:50AM and finished by 2:00PM. It was a great experience and would recommend Guardian to anyone looking to replace their windows.

My husband and I are very, very pleased with our new windows. My husband noticed, the first night after our bedroom installation, that he could not hear the cars on the freeway. So nice! Both of us are delighted about how good the windows look. It was a pleasure to consult with Marty and his installation crew is fabulous. Carol, who does all the scheduling, is so nice as well as efficient and accommodating. Ron and his crew are wonderful as they were punctual, careful, and thorough; not to mention, professional and friendly. We made a good choice!

We were in the market for new windows, as our 1950's home had original ones. We contacted several window companies through Angie's List to get quotes. We scheduled an appointment with Marty and he walked us through their products, prices and showed us pictures of some previous jobs. After carefully reviewing each companies' quote we decided to hire Guardian, and we are very happy we did. Marty not only gave us the best price for our budget, but he also had the best quality of windows that we found. It was a no-brainer to hire them. Once our windows were ordered Carol was in contact with us to schedule estimated drop off dates for the windows. She was always extremely nice, accommodating and professional. Ron's crew came to install our windows and they were awesome! (I've worked in construction before and had to deal with numerous different types of construction crews...Ron and his team are arguably the best I've come across.). They showed up promptly at 6:45am and were already knocking windows out before 7am. They finished the job by mid-day and left our house cleaner than they found it. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Guardian Windows and everyone from the company that we came in contact with. I would recommend Guardian to anyone looking to replace their windows.

The owner was very accommodating throughout the process. I Actually required two bids because I delayed the job initially. The only issue in the initial bidding process was due to some differences in the window descriptions and features between Guardian Windows description and the description used by the window manufacturer. It took a few emails and discussion between the manufacturing representative and Guardian. I chose the to go with Guardian based upon the independent testing results for the windows (pressure rating, solar gain and u factor), the flexibility in color schemes (you can have different colors on the inside versus the outside of the window), the Lifetime Manufacturers Warranty, the price and the number of high grades in the Angies List reviews. The installation went better than I had imagined. The installation crew has been together a long time. They are a well-oiled machine. I was impressed the the attention to detail, the precision of measurement, precision of cutting and installation. All furniture and countertops were covered prior to work. Measurements were taken at each critical step to insure the windows were installed accurately, precisely and plumb. During the installation, the crew would periodically call our attention to potential issues with the siding and window surrounds that may need further attention. After each section was completed and at the end of each day; the crew would clean up the areas that had been completed. This included vacuuming. The job took 4 days. The windows were delivered on one day. The installation of 27 windows on the two story house took roughly two and one-half days. The windows look fantastic. The exterior color matches our siding and the white interior color really looks great and really adds to the look of the interior.

Everyone I came in contact with was wonderful...Marty, Carole and Ron & his team. Carol was very patient with me on the phone, working very hard to get me on the schedule, which is not easy with all this crazy weather we have had. Ron and his crew....he tells me they are the "A-Team" came out to do the install. They work like a fine tuned machine. They move things (if needed) and cover everything up very well so nothing gets dirty or gets any broken glass on it. There were 3 or 4 guys that came out. Everyone had a job and they each did it well. It was very organized the way they did things. In fact, I was never once concerned about anything being wrong or overlooked because it was clear to me that they knew what they were doing, and they were doing it right. They got at our place by 7am and I believe they were out of there before noon. Ron is so particular about things being right that he couldn't stand the fact my front door wouldn't open right and he fixed it before he left. THANKS RON!!!! He just threw that repair job in there for free. Oh and he nailed some trim around the door as well. They cleaned everything probably better than it was before they got there. They even vacuumed. They left both the inside and outside clean when they left. They even took all the debri from the windows with them when they left. My windows are beautiful. They did a beautiful job caulking around the windows inside and out. The new screens are great too. I did not realize what a huge difference new windows would make. It was worth every penny. I only wish Guardian did more than just windows!!! !I hope that as I continue to renovate my home, that all the other companies I work with will be as good as Guardian Windows!!

Marty shows us the product and provides the estimate, Carol sets up the delivery and appointment, and Ron & Crew show up every day on time! They are a team that works perfectly together to install a great product. We have never been happier with a contractor who does and says what they promise. They value customer service and it shows. Neighbors came over right away and were sold when they saw how hard Ron & Crew worked and cleaned up every day. The windows are beautiful and there are no cold and hot spots anywhere. No need to get three or more estimates. Call Guardian and get the windows and service you pay for. Thanks to Ron, Darrell, and Jim. Thanks to Marty and Carol. They were so good that I hired them a second time. No complaints at all. I highly recommend their services

Let me start by saying that Ron and his crew showed up first thing in the morning and wasted no time getting started with the job. They started by covering sidewalks and shrubbery outside then came in and took care to cover furniture and floors before they ever started with the windows. Once they started removing the windows it was like they were on a roll and didn't stop until the last sliver of glass was vacuumed up inside and the last piece of glass (and leaves) were swept up outside. These guys are the best! It is very apparent that Ron, Jim and Darrell have worked together for a long time and all take pride in their job down to the tiniest detail. The way they work and the work they do is top notch! I have sliding patio doors that need to be replaced in the future and had Ron take measurements before he left because I will definitely be calling on him to do the job. No need to look anywhere else because I already have the best crew in town! I was in contact with Marty, carol, Ron,Jim and Darrell and they all made my window replacement experience a great one! The appointment date and time was as expected, however the quality of the product and the price were difficult to believe. The quality of these windows are much better than those of competitors (I had received two other quotes). The installation went smooth, the installers work for Guardian Windows and were professional, polite, and very clean in their work - not to mention they are both Christians.

I never thought I could get so excited about windows but they look terrific and Guardian made the process easy from start to finish. Marty came out and quoted the job and said the windows would be installed by Thanksgiving (a date he beat by 2 weeks). I have to jump on the band wagon and rave about Ron and his crew. They arrived at the crack of dawn each day (even earlier than expected) and worked diligently until the job was complete. The work was meticulous and they communicated with me pointing out the things I needed to be aware of throughout the project. The communication from Carol on scheduling and space needed to store the windows pre-installation was terrific and worth mentioning. Great product! Great service!

Fantastic job.The windows are top of the line and manufactured locally.In addition to the overall beauty of the windows, the reduction in the noise level has been dramatic. I can't say enough good things about David and the installation crew.They not only did a great job on the windows, they also fixed a door threshold and replaced some minor wood damage. These guys are pros!!!! My rating is A+++++++++++!

Ron's crew came out and in two days they replaced all our windows. They even helped us move some heavy objects to they could get to the windows and cleaned up the debris left after they completed the installation. They did a great job and I would recommend them highly.

Great overall experience. Marty came out quickly to review the job and provide a quote and explain our window options including the pros and cons of each. Once we decided to go with Guardian, it took approximate 4 weeks for our windows to be fabricated. We were well informed of the status of our windows, and lined up a convenient delivery window through Carol. The next working day Ron and his crew came out and started to work promptly. He and his guys were quick, competent, and professional. By the end of the 2nd working day it was as if they were never they, except for the fact that we have brand new windows which actually slid open and close, which in and of itself is a feat with the Houston home's 30+ year foundation. Three screens were fabricated incorrectly by the manufacturer and did not properly fit in their windows, Guardian already placed a rush order with the manufacturer by the time i returned home, and are keeping me up to date with their status. I would recommend these guys to anyone with the service I've received from Ron's crew.

David and Eddie were fantastic! They took out the old windows and had the new windows set in short order. Very professional and receptive to my questions. They spent quite a bit of time on the glass brick window because i had a leak and showed me that it was most likely one of the glass bricks. I'm quite impressed with them and will definitely use them in the future to replace the rest of my windows! I even waited until it rained this weekend before writing this review, and was pleased to see NO leaks!

Excellent service and work, if I could give them a higher rating I would. The price was more than fair and the quality of the finished product is excellent; my windows look great. My work crew was Darrell, Roy and Jim. They arrived on time both days and immediately went to work. They kept me informed of the status and progress of the work. They were cheerful and positive despite a swarm of wasps and some rotted wood that required additional work. I truly appreciate the time they took to ensure that my rotted wood issues were addressed and to make recommendations on how to correct the causes. And thank goodness no one got stung! They cleaned up completely at the end of each day and there was no evidence they had been there except for my beautiful new windows. Anyone looking to replace their windows should look no further than Guardian Windows.

I wish that all projects went this smoothly! I contacted a few window installation companies for estimates and while Guardian Windows did not submit the lowest number, it was reasonable. I was impressed with the company's reputation for quality and service, but what helped me the most in my decision was Marty Scarpati's (the owner and my original contact) knowledge of his products and his experience in dealing with custom orders. Fourteen of the sixteen windows to be replaced were very large and tall arched windows which were not standard sizes and two were narrower than the stated minimal size for tall arches. I wanted one piece replacements and additionally, I wanted them in a color which is not always available in all sizes or styles. Marty knew right away how to make this happen and he was the only person I talked to who noticed that my current window blinds would no longer fit with all but one of the brands I was considering because of the sill depth. This could have been a costly error on my part! Once I decided to go with Guardian, things progressed rather quickly. Ron Hopper, crew master extraordinaire, came out the next day to take a second set of measurements and within two and a half weeks, the windows were delivered. His wife handled the scheduling and talked me through the process so I would know exactly what to expect, which was nice. Monday morning, bright and early, Ron and his guys arrived and got right to work. There is no waiting around for this crew! They know their job; they do it extremely well and take care to protect your home and possessions. There are a few touch ups needed now, but these are minor and all but impossible not to have with a job of this scope. Within one and a half days from start, all windows were installed, window treatments back in place, and the surrounding areas cleaned and vacuumed. The new windows look fantastic and make a huge difference in both the exterior appearance and the interior environment. We live on a busy street and the noise level seems to have dropped dramatically. All in all, we are very happy with both the product and the installation job.

This company runs like a well-oiled machine. I felt very comfortable with the fact that they measure everything 2 times. When they have questions, they ask. Every detail is covered. Oh and speaking of covered....the outside around the area they are working is covered with cardboard. Inside, all furnishings and belongings are moved away from the work area and covered with plastic. They clean as they go. Sweeping and picking up. David and Lorenzo are very professional and personable at the same time. Their consideration of the customer and their property is top notch! The show up on time and get right to work. I highly recommend this company.

David and Larenzo showed up at 9 am as promised, and had all my windows replaced by 5 pm. The work went smoothly and both men were friendly and informative. They cleaned up all the work areas. I would not hesitate to recommend Guardian Windows to friends and family! It was a pleasure to have them in my home.

Guardian Windows is the superior window installer in Houston. We requested a quote based on Guardian's excellent reviews on Angie's List and other online locations. Marty showed up the very next day, right on time. He spent quite a while with us discussing the various window options, configurations, and costs. We required 24 new windows and were quoted a price of around $11,800. Of course, like any window salesman, he brought out the heat lamp to show us how bad our vintage 1979 windows were at preventing convective and radiative heat transfer. As a previous reviewer indicated, he did offer us a discount if we could provide an order within a few days time since he could group our order with another and yield a volume discount from the manufacturer; not at all a pressure sale and certainly reasonable. After spending the weekend thinking through the options (we had several other quotes at this point), we chose to have Guardian Windows install the double-pained Showcase windows. These windows are manufactured in Houston so I am confident they can withstand the gulf coast weather we have. Now, the installation. About 4-5 weeks after placing our order Ron and his excellent crew showed up to do the install (Ron even shared some of his homegrown tomatoes with us). They planned to work for two days and they were right on. The crew showed up both days at exactly the time they promised and they were very respectful of our house and our schedule. I was especially impressed with the level of effort they went to to minimize damage to the window frames and to control the scatter of broken glass. The installation was done efficiently with quality second to none. The windows are excellent in both aesthetics and quality. Being an engineer, I was especially interested in the energy efficiency yield of our new windows. I have to say I didn't expect much but the difference has actually been noticeable. Our energy usage is down about 15% from the 5-year summer consumption average of our home. We live on a quiet street so didn't really have a noise problem before. I will say, though, the ambient noise has been significantly reduced. In summary, I would without question use Guardian Windows again and would recommend them to anyone considering having windows installed.
