Express Pool Plastering

the office does not exactly know when the workers will show up. Also I have had to have them back out several times due to cracking of the decking. I do not believe we were told what to expect when covering over cool deck. They also did not chip up enough of the old deck b/c that is what is causing the cracking of the new. Also, the new light was installed crooked. They finally came back and fixed it, but we had to drain the pool and refill it at our cost. Now the light will not work consistently, and I have contacted them several times, but can never get anyone back out here. I have been VERY patient with them, but am extremely disappointed in the service we have been given for the amount of money we spent.

They showed up exactly on time every day. Everything went exactly as they said it would. We threw a last minute curve at them requesting some additional work that required an electrician. They made sure he was there in time to do his job and finish in order to not change the original plaster schedule.

Crews were on-time and professional. They did a great job keeping the area clean as they worked. They even made sure to power wash the pool area upon completion. The work was completed in the promised timeframe. The office crew was great at helping with choices and making recommendations; they were even quickly responsive to text questions. The acid startup crew did a great job - it is worth the extra cost. Note for Sugar Land, TX: you need to send a letter to the city about refilling your pool so that your average usage of water doesn't get adjusted to include this usage. I have already recommended Express to several friends looking to have similar work done.

Pool Plastering is not their only specialty. Tile, plumbing, concrete repair as well. I was concerned with the care of my pool after I spoke with several remodeler’s. I had a referral to express pools and from the first visit I was impressed. They addressed all my concerns before, during and at the completion of the remodel. I had a different crew at the house each day, they were kind, knowledgeable and care for the area as I expected. They did what they said, they kept me informed, they answered all of my questions and completed the remodel on scheduled and at a price that was more than acceptable. They turned a 15 year old pool into a beautiful new pool. This is a family run business and I have to say it is run with integrity and the work is outstanding. I am a customer for life

First I did a lot of research and these folks are at the top for a reason. From picking out tiles at our first visit until the hose was placed back in the pool was exceptional. The 1st crew comes in and preps everything...then the tile crew...day 3 the crew to plaster. What an amazing job they did and answered all my questions throughout the process. They cleaned up everything before they left each day. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about needed any of their services. Outstanding work.. Above expectations. Thank you

From first contact, I was impressed with the way the employees represented the company. Professional and polite. Appointments were kept and on time. Phone calls and emails were promptly answered. Day one began with emptying the pool and drilling two relief holes in the bottom to keep the pool from wanting to bouy up and out of the ground. They prepared the surface for the new plaster and took about 4.5 hours. Day 2 was the replaster day. The pool was covered with a tarp and the new marble plaster was carried into the pool by hand and applied by hand trowel. All crew working in the pool wore special spike platforms on their shoes to minimize the impact on new plaster. The crew was careful to make it all smooth and even, and a smooth transition to the tile. Any plaster on tile was carefully removed. New plastic fixtures for water jets and returns were installed. This day was nearly 6 hours and we began refilling the pool when they finished. At the end of each day, the crew cleaned up my back yard and took all their tools with them. I was told about the chemical process for curing the new plaster and what to expect. I decided to use a service recommended by Express to do the initial water treatment, brushing and chemical balance for the water. The results speak for themselves. I am very pleased.

Let me say, I don't normally post reviews and or comments. We worked with the folks from Express Pools on re-plastering of our pool. Marisol was our main point of contact. She and her staff were very responsive, professional, and came up with unique solutions to executing our job. They began and completed every aspect of the project in a timely manner. We also had a recurring issue with our pool lighting, which Express Pool came back and corrected even after the original job was completed. I would use their service again.

It went very well, we are very pleased with our pool now. We had Julio out to give us the estimate and we did go back and forth for a bit on exactly how much we wanted to get done. He was great and helped us make compromises which allowed us to get the work done that we needed while staying in a budget. I dealt with Marisol in the office several times and she was great. She helped us pick out tiles and we decided to go with a quartz surface which she also helped us with. The work started on a Thursday and ended on the following Saturday with the resurface. The pool looks excellent, everyone who worked on it was polite and professional. Express will also arrange the pool startup process for you which was really easy. I got another quote on this work and it was significantly more expensive. They also did not notice the cracked beam. I tried another company but could never get a call back so they weren't in the running. Express was very timely and they know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them and we will use them again if we have to and with luck we won't for a long time!

It was a completely postive experience!! Reuben arrived promptly to provde the quote which was precise. Marisol very patiently answered all of my endless questions and promptly updated the quote each time I had a new idea or change in plans. And trust me, I had a LOT of questions!! They arrived on time, were thorough,professional and tidy. Watching the work from start to finish was fascinating, especially the tile and plaster application. Their price is very reasonable. Express Pool Plastering was always accessible throughout the process. They went above and beyond when we had additional questions. The workmen left the area clean and performed a nice job. Follow up was punctual and responsive. I recommend reading the instructions on the contract BEFORE starting the process so that you know what YOUR responsibility is during the process. The contract was easily readable with highlighted instructions so that the homeowner doesn't screw it up!

Great! They were on time for the quote and for the repair. We also received a quote for total re plaster but it was not in our budget at this time. However we will use them to replaster our pool and replace the coping.

I am an extremely fussy about punctuality, service and workmanship. Marisol with Express kept me well informed during the re-plaster at all times. the work was performed as agreed to and the estimate was the actual final price. they were punctual and above all extremely neat and professional. The crew was on time and very professional. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves - not just my property but they took the time to clean up their own equipment before leaving on the final day. The project manager wasn't on site the whole time but he came by frequently and when needed to check up on things. Communication was great.

Basically, what it came down to is they replastered the pool and it looked okay but they didn't kind of put any finish on it or whatever, and then during the winter, we had some algae grown and then we tried to brush it off but it wouldn't brush off. We had unbelievable stains throughout the whole pool. Then, we called them out and then they said we have algae growth and that's it, that's your problem. Before we have it replastered, we have algae every single year and we just brush it off. This time, it actually stained right into the cement and it's not like you can just go in there with a steel brush and brush it off. It actually stuck into the cement. Basically, my pool is now worse of than when I hired them. My pool looked better before I hired them. They did send someone over and they have a clause in the contract that they are not responsible for stains and they consider these stains. They did have a guy come over and take a look at it, he concluded that yes it is a stain, it's not covered by warranty, that's it, finished. And, my pool looked better before these guys came. I gave them $3,000 to make my pool look worse. I can't have parties or guests over now. I think they either used cheaper cement. I think they had day laborers that did the labor. I think they might have used cheaper cement and I think they might have missed the step of putting some kind of sealant on it, but I don't know that, I'm not on the business. They responded but their response was unacceptable. They were not professional at all.

Excellent service - great price. The sales force was knowledgeable & friendly and did not pressure us for an upsell. The work was performed on schedule (despite a rain event). Specialized teams came in to perform demo, tile, leveling of coping, and plastering. Work performed quickly and efficiently. Worksite left clean. Quality of workmanship was excellent. Pool looks like new. Months later, still no issues.

Pool came out fantastic. Marisol and Veronica are great to work with and are very responsive. Crew showed up on time early in the morning each day. I would have given Express an "A" overall, however I dropped them down to a "B" due to messiness of crew. Garage, brick wall near pool, and back of house near brick wall had white coping mortar,/grout splattered all over them. I had to re-paint brick sections, because mortar/grout was so difficult to remove. I had a small section of lawn re-sodded a week before the pool was plastered. The crews dumped their pails of waste onto it throughout the job. I thought the stuff would dry up and you could just rinse it away, but I couldn't. Overall project went well.

They did a good job. We found them after seeing the company listed on Angie’s List and we felt that we could trust them. They completed the job in about five days and cleanup was good. We were very satisfied with their work.

The job took 3 days. On day 1 they removed the old plaster and prepared the pool for the new finish. On day 2 they applied the new finish and replaced the drain cover and wall fittings. On day 3 they acid washed the pool and started refilling the pool. The end result is a beautiful pool.

We hired Express Pool Plastering to remove and replace our plaster, tile and coping. We also hired them to build up one section of the deep end of our pool and create a "baja deck" where we could place our lounge chairs into the pool. We chose a quartz plaster, porcelain tile and travertine coping. The workers were on time, polite and did a good job. We had a bit of trouble with the new wall and baja deck - the wall was not straight, and when I mentioned this to the workers, they tried to correct the "wobbles" as best they could by grinding down the bumps (but they never did get the wall completely straight). Unfortunately, this created uneven patches of color in the quartz. The owner came out to assess the problem and we decided to wait and see if the post-plaster acid treatments would help to fade the color inconsistencies. When this did not happen, the owner immediately agreed to replaster again at no extra cost to us. We were very impressed by his willingness to do this, and the replaster job is beautiful!
