Description of Work: Installed four new outdoor light fixtures, cleaned out doorbell and got it to work again, and checked hall light switches. Gave estimate about future work which we plan to do.

Description of Work: I had a leak from an upstairs bathtub/shower. It was dripping down onto the ceiling on the foyer at the front entrance. I have had an ongoing problem with this leak since I bought this house 2/12 years ago. I have had 3 different plumbers perform 4 different service calls to fix this problem. It has gotten much better but never fixed. Church services came out this week James, in particular, and was very patient with me. He listened to my on going problem and evaluated the entire problem literally form top to bottom. He did a very thorough inspection. He removed some sheet rock upstairs and down to get a clear clean view and performed many test and low and behold he found the final part of this puzzle. Everybody that was here before fixed something that needed to be fixed but nobody really took the time to be thorough and evaluate the entire thing. As soon as they found some issue they fixed that and assumed that was it. Not James. They really made sure this problem was fixed right. I wished I called them first. Also I had an old faucet in another bathroom that need to be totally rebuilt including the on off valves and all the guts of it underneath the vanity. He took care of that very well too.

Description of Work: 1. Hydrostatic Test was run throughout the house to determine any issues with the drainage system of our home. It was determined that drainage problems were in the kitchen and both bathrooms. 2. Using the determination from the hydrostatic test, a representative showed that our foundation needed to be leveled on the inside 3. Concurrently, a new drainage system would be installed from the home to the city line.

Description of Work: Repaired 2 toilet flushing systems and replaced one set of washbasin faucets. I made the mistake of not getting an estimate for this work but gave them details of the work and told them that I had purchased their two hour deal.

Description of Work: I bought 2 hours of electrical service for $89 total. The representative, Mike, arrived promptly on the date scheduled and installed a flood light in my back yard and a new light on my patio. He did it efficiently and had time to trouble-shoot my walkway lights, repairing two of them and letting me know which would have to be replaced. I was extremely pleased with his accomplishments, professionalism, and courtesy. In addition to the work, he explained what I needed to know and saved me money on one light in the long run.

Description of Work: Purchased a voucher from Angie's List Big Deal for 2 hours of plumbing services for 89$. Got a general inspection, water heater flush, and replacement of a fill valve in toilet water tank.

Description of Work: I contacted Church Services to ground an outlet (for my new freezer), install a replacement light fixture in my kitchen and install an additional light switch for the replacement light fixture (the old switch turned on 2 lights, and I wanted these separated). Via Angie's List, I asked that Church Services provide a ballpark estimate of what this work would cost (other electricians on Angie's List are able to do this). "Dispatch" was very fast getting back with me but was unable to provide an estimate. I was connected with the Church Services electrians' manager. He asked a lot of pertinent questions and then said to tell dispatch that he had given a maximum price of 3.5 hours for the work; he explained that parts were not included in the estimate. I used the $89 coupon for 2 hours of work (Available through Angie's List). I was very happy with how things were going at this point. However, when the electrician arrived, he argued with me about my needing a grounded outlet for the freezer (the outlet was 3-prong but not grounded; the freezer plug was 3-prong). Even after I showed him the freezer documentation, he asked questions that I couldn't answer (questions that require an electrician's knowledge); I repeated that I wanted what the freezer documentation indicated, and finally said, "Is another electrician going to come behind you and say this was rigged up?" He said no, but I am not entirely convinced that I got what the freezer document said I needed. I was charged for the time "discussing" the freezer outlet and I was billed for the maximum time (3.5 hours). The electrician even said that I actually had gotten some free work because the standard hourly rate is not $89 but $124. However, an estimate from another electrician indicated that I was charged fairly" ( with the coupon taken into account). I would use Church Services Electricians again, but I am going to make sure I know exactly what I need before contacting them. I will also ask for an estimate before having anyone do the work--since I didn't go that route, I'm not sure if it is free to have an electrician come to your house and give a free estimate or if there is a charge for this. And lastly I am going to make sure that I understand all of the parts that I pay for before I sign on the dotted line as I tried to find out what a $40 charge was but no one got back with me with this information.

Description of Work: I used Church Services because the service entry to the house had ruptured because of the dry soil and movement in the soil. They found it and fixed it.

Description of Work: This was electrical service provided as an Angie's list "Big Deal" that was 2 hours of electrician service for $89. The services provided during that time included installing an outdoor ceiling fan on our patio and wiring it to an existing fixture, and installing an outdoor GFCI oulet in on the exterior front wall of our living room to provide power to our front flower bed area for a fountain.

Description of Work: I hired this company through Angie's BIG DEAL of 2 hours service for $89. I had a list of three things I wanted done. Number one was to have a digital thermostat installed. That item was done and completed perfectly. Number two was to have the electrician fix the front door bell. He replaced the transformer at an additional cost of $50. I still need to go to Home Depot and buy a new bell and install it myself. He said the cost of him going to get the bell and install it was going to be an additional $100. I think I can handle the bell myself. Number three was the hope of having a new ceiling fan installed in my downstairs living room. I have the new ceiling fan still in the box. He said that he could install it, but he would have to put holes in the ceiling and that he would not fix the holes afterward. Rather than have holes left in my ceiling that I would have to hire someone else to come fix, I told him no. I still need to find someone that can install the ceiling fan and fix the holes when he's done. Total time he was here was just around an hour. I guess $89 for one hour from an electrician isn't too bad...I was just disappointed that the ceiling fan wasn't able to be done.
