The technician explained very well what he was going to do. I had started seeing roaches a month or so before and I wanted to get that taken care of. He found a live roach and identified it to verify his treatment would work. He went through the whole house and sprayed the baseboards. He checked the attic and garage for signs of rodent infestations. He also spray around the exterior house of the house. He told me and documented on the receipt what chemicals he was using. He explained the hazards of the treatments. He left me his card and he told me that if I had any problems or saw unwanted insects after the treatment had run it's full course that I should call the office and ask for him specifically to come back and take care of any problems. I did not need another treatment and I haven't had any insect problems since the treatment.

Purchased a certificate for 2 hours of plumbing services at no charge from Angie's List. Church Services arrived and I was told that the certificate amounted to just a $200 reduction in their fees for services rendered. Upon completion of their services, I was handed a bill for over $400.00, making their total service charge for adding an additional water turn off valve to an existing water line more than $600. Didn't make sense then and doesn't make sense now. I canceled my membership with Angie's List because I was duped into believing that the certificate was worth 2 hours of plumbing services at no charge, which wasn't the case.

The plumber came in assessed the problem, gave me a very good explanation of what it could be and the cost of each explanation. Once he got into the faucet and figured out what it was (luckily the cheapest one) he fixed it and explained how to keep it from happening again. He was very polite and did exactly what I needed.

The start-to-finish saga is really laid out in the "services performed" section, above. Overall, though, it was a good service. The technician was on time, friendly and happy to answer any questions I had about the systems and show me how to do simple things (like filter replacements) by myself, saving significant dollars. When I have plumbing or HVAC jobs in the future, I'll call them for an estimate first.

They did a very good job. They were professional and on time. The time estimate was pretty close, but he did go over a little, which cost extra. He really did quality work.

They sent a tech out to check on the air conditioner and it took two hours for the tech to check something outside. The service tech wanted $178.00 for the bill. I did not pay this because I used the big deal purchase for the service. I called the company and the worker I spoke with was very cold.

Technician arrived on time. He explained what he was going to do and use, as I have kittens in the house and a partner who is extremely sensitive to chemicals of any type. Technician assured me solution he uses is kid-, pet-, and people friendly but fatal to roaches, black ants, etc. I requested he spray only first floor of my townhouse, which he did. He also sprayed exterior of house, in garage, on around edge of deck. His work was very efficient, he was very courteous, and left me information for future work should I be intersted in having it done.

Steven and Gary were very professional and punctual. Church's gave me a window of 8-12p. I received a call at 8am to ask is I was available and the technicians showed up within 30 minutes. One technician worked on the exterior and one on the interior. Not sure how to rate the quality of the work yet. I had some ant problems in the kitchen - we'll see with time if they go away. I've only had my house exterminated one other time and it seemed as if the last time I had it done, they took longer - i.e. were a little more meticulous and explained to me what they were doing. It seemed like this time they went really quickly through the house - but maybe it doesn't matter how fast they got it done? Not sure - time will tell if ant problem is solved.

On 6/15/2012, I purchased the "Big Deal" for this company, which consisted of a 16 point a/c tune up and included 2 pounds of freon. Not only was the tune up not performed (and freon not needed), I was told the unit was not working properly because a part in the air handler was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced and the coils were dirty. The estimate provided for the replacement part and cleaning the coils was $620-$700. Total time spent at my house for these "services" was close to 2 hours and no work, other than diagnostics, was performed on the system by this technician. Since the unit was installed in 2009, I contacted the company responsible for the installation on 6/16/2012 to get a second opinion and to insure any work performed did not void the existing extended warranty. The same day a technician conducted an independent inspection of the system and advised me everything was functioning properly. All levels and pressures were good but a loose wire was found on the outside unit. Once this was repaired, the system worked great and I have not experienced any further problems. All these tasks, which included performing a summer maintenance on the system as well as explaining each step in the process to me and answering all questions I had, took the technician only an hour. The technician for Church Services failed to notify me of the loose wire but went as far as showing me the "malfunctioning" part and getting me an estimate for its replacement. This "Big Deal" was a waste of time and money and I am highly dissatisfied with the services rendered.

All the options for repair or replacement were explained. We chose to replace. When the details were explained, the man also offered other options for reducing air-conditioning costs and recommended companies. The new air-conditioning unit was installed promptly and clean-up was great. All was explained in detail. We were very pleased with the workman and the entire job. Church's has been taking care of our air-conditioning & heating for many years. We have always been pleased.

I had them come out and clean out a garbage disposal. The Big Deal was for the service call charge, but there was an additional charge for the work, which they did not tell me when I set up the appointment. I didn't have any problems scheduling with them and the technician was good.

This was first time we had used this company which we chose because of positive comments on this site as well as the coupon for $69 service. John Stratta arrived timely and came in the house with booties around his shoes. He thoroughly explained the process, that the chemicals were not dangerous to us, and what we should expect in results. He completed his work in less than an hour and we have not seen a live roach or spider since.

Went quite well, although the tech was late in arriving. I had a window from 1-5pm, with an arrival of 5:30pm.

They came out the very next day after I called.I was given a window of time during which the service would be provided, and then another phone call to let me know when they were on their way. Courteous, prompt, professional. Everything was great, and I do think the extermination was effective. Will know more later, but so far, all looks good.

Tech showed up when the CO said he would, treated the inside and outside, visual inspection for termitesand briefed me on what he found before he went to his next appointment.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal for a plumbing service call with Church Services I spoke with April in customer service who gladly answered my questions, & later in the day I was able to get an appointment the same week which I really appreciated given that I was dealing with a stopped-up toilet. Claude was courteous & professional & worked hard to unplug the toilet & then cleaned up after himself.I gave the company a 'B' in price mainly because I think that plumbing charges are always rather high. The deal I purchased certainly helped my final cost.

The plumber cleared the slow draining bathroom sink. It took approximatelly 15 minutes at a cost of $197. A bit pricey for a few minutes of labor. They also gave an estimate of $375 for the installation a new toilet . The toilet was to be provided by me so the $375 was for installation only. I then called Lowes and purchaed a toilet from them and they are charging me $125 for the installation. I also received an estimate from Church Services for a toilet in a second bathroom to install a flap and handle. Their estimate was $197. It appears that plumbing is a very profitable business

We were having trouble with large cockroaches. The treatment seems to have done the trick.

No recommendations because it went very smoothly--exactly like a quality service job should be done.

There was a mix up over contacting me on the first appointment which meant it had to be rescheduled. On the second attempt the contractor was polite and explained what he was doing very clearly. i was pleased with the service.

He arrived and was advised on my needs. He did not have the ballast on his truck, so he had to shop for them. When he returned he installed, and put the new lights in. I was not happy with the color, but he didn't charge for the new bulbs. I then remembered about asking for an additional outlet. He complied efficiently and left.

Arrived on time. Same gentleman that I had used in the past. He put the ceiling fans together and then installed them. He also changed out the light switch plates.

Church services called to let me know someone was on their way on the day of the scheduled appointment. The young man who showed up was extremely courteous and professional. He explained exactly what he was going to do before he did it, answered all my questions, and got to it.

Church services was not prepared for the work, needing to leave to get supplies and even a new drill bit to perform the work. The service man attempted to charge me extra for having to return to start over. After complaining with the home office, I did get some of the charges for wasted time reversed. The quality of work was fair, but even with reversed charges, the price was higher than originally quoted. The service man also spent a good deal of time at my home talking with his wife on the phone. Would NEVER use them again.
