Description of Work: Poor communications led to some problems on a very large job. Several areas had to be repainted due to poor coverage on walls. This should have been addressed earlier (at the start of the job). I had to pay extra for paint for this - when it should have been covered by the business owner). Also, the owner corrected (reprimanded) the foreman in front of me. This was very uncomfortable and a big "NO NO" in professionalism. At the very minimum, I should have received a credit for the extra paint that I was charged for.

Description of Work: The contract was written at too high level for me to confirm that they painted all that was verbally promised and when I challenged, was told it was not in the contract. | |Painters did not remove shoes (or put plastic covers) going in/out of the hours. So had to get carpets cleaned. | |Painters did not cover non paint surfaces adequately & so splatted paint on wood, mirror & tile floor surfaces; probably more used to doing industrial sized buildings vs the personal 'careful' approach needed in a private home | |Painters were punctual and extremely friendly; pity about the company sales people promising something that they did not tell their painters to do including taking the 1/2 empty paint cans that I had paid for.

Description of Work: We chose not to use them because their price was double the other 3 quotes we received. We had 4 quotes and all of the other 3 were within $500 of each other and then this one was double the cost. So not going with them saved us $4000!!! They didn't really show any of their work when they came to quote the job and after I received the quote via email they never followed up to see if I was happy with the quote or if I had questions.

+ -1 moreWe obtained two estimates for painting and CertaPro was slightly more money for a lot higher quality work and materials. Keith was punctual and friendly when he came to give us the initial estimate. He was very good at communicating with us and making suggestions on paint colors and which parts of our exterior needed repair vs. complete replacement. The crew that prepped and painted the house, George and Christian, were very nice and knowledgeable. George helped me pick out the final colors on the house and we are still getting compliments from our neighbors. The work on the fascia, siding and window trim was seamless (we were nervous that the painters would not be good at woodwork, but they were excellent). The work was done within a week and to our specifications. There were no issues with paint spilling or skipping coats of paint as we have had with other contractors in the past. Clean up afterwards was excellent, and Keith personally walked around the perimeter to inspect the work and the cleanup and to ensure we were satisfied customers. I highly recommend this company and with the new paint, I feel like I have a new house!

+ -1 moreExcellent! The job was scheduled, performed and completed to our word for word discussion of the colors and the time it would take. Keith's team did an excellent job in every room. I plan to have the return to do the exterior wood and iron fence in the future.
Description of Work: CertaPro Painter of Central Houston, owner Keith Young, provided a detailed estimate of the interior painting of my home prior to my family moving in after our purchase. Keith came prepared with all the possible swatches and a state of the art computer and software to estimate the time and amount of paint needed. Keith provided not only the 1st estimate but also came back to our house when the color coordinator was scheduled. The first round of my color choices did not go work out and Keith spent 3 additional hours here, on top of the first estimate appointment of 2 hours, with me and the color coordinator picking the correct colors for all of the walls on the 1st three floors. He went well beyond what I believe any other painter would offer in this case. My home is approximately 2000 sq. ft and 3 floors. The 4th floor was not estimated nor painted at this point. The house has on the 1st three floors 2 full baths and 1 half bath, along with 3 bedrooms and two stair wells. CertaPro also painted all of the trim and ceiling throughout the house.
