Floors turned out wonderful!

Ryan was our sales guy and from start to finish everything was done on time and in a professional manner. This was a four day job and the crews arrived on time each day. Both the tile and laminate crews did an expert job of installation and had no problems with my wife pointing out things that she would like tweaked along the way. Plus they priced well below our first quote. I would not hesitate to refer Ryan and the people at Buffaloe flooring to my friends or family. One comment worth adding for people getting new tile in your house. Be sure to cover everything up with sheets or plastic. Even with all of the cutting being done outside, there was still a good bit of dust that accumulates on uncovered areas.

I went to their showroom to discuss flooring choices for my kitchen. Spoke with Kurt and he seemed very helpful in helping me decide what was best for my kitchen. He told me that it would be no problem to come by the house to get measurements and an estimate. He canceled the first scheduled appointment, made excuses for the second one. It took 2 weeks before anyone came out to measure for the estimate. And my home is less than 5 miles from their showroom. I was told I would have an estimate the next day and I have not seen one yet. While waiting on Buffaloe flooring, I've had two other companies come out promptly, give me estimates, and no excuses. We are scheduled to have the flooring replaced next week!

I made an appointment with Buffaloe Hardwood Floors to come for an estimate (pull out the carpet and put hardwood floors in the master bedroom and closet). The appointment was for 4:30pm and they never showed up. I gave them a 20 minute grace period, and after no one had showed up or called, I tried to call them. The store was closed. No one ever contacted us and I did not follow up with them since I did not want to bother with a company that does not even show up for estimates.

The job was completed as promised by personable, qualified people. I had 4 companies come out and Buffaloe had the best price for the work. We were delighted with the service we are using them for additional work at my house.

Mr Lunsmann was my point of contact and he was very pleasant and knowlegable about what he does. He understood that I had not been happy with previous quotes from other companies (Empire, Jack's..etc). I was more than pleasantly surprised that after he came out and took detailed notes and was able to offer something that I definitely could work with. Having 2 dogs I wanted to have something easy to keep as well as able to sustain the wear and tear. His workers were courteous and hard working, they finished most of what they started the same day. I appreciated the mixture of older and younger workers who showed their expertise in laying the vinyl. My only complaint was the adhesive that was in several spots on the floors which made it hard to keep clean and kept attracting dirt, but a phone call to Mr Lunsmann took care of that and the crew arrived today to meticulously clean these spots today to my satisfaction. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work and amount charged by Buffaloe Flooring and will definitely call them again to complete the upstairs when I am ready to tackle that.

The whole project went very smoothly from the quote through the tile installation, and the tile looks fantastic. Scott Stright emailed a preliminary estimate to us based on our pictures of the kitchen, our selected tile, and a drawing of the tile pattern. The next day he came out to see the kitchen for himself and to finalize the quote. He scheduled our installation to occur in about 12 days, and he was willing to be flexible if our counter top installer had a delay. Forturnately, there were no delays. The tile installers put in the porcelain tile, and then one of them returned the next day to grout the tile. They communicated with us about choices in the tile pattern, and they used spacers to achieve consistent tile spacing.

The experience was great. From sales (Ronnie) giving a good estimate and fair price to the service men actually doing the installation. Very caring and very professional. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Everything went smoothly. These guys know their business and I really appreciated them coming in on short notice. The bid I got was roughly the same as the prior installers, and overall I think their pricing is competitive for a quality installer. My only regret is that I didn't call them first. If you are looking for someone to install Shaw floors these guys are great.

We had about 1800 sq. ft. of old tile that was needed to be removed, which they did. They removed the carpets. They installed engineered wood flooring and new tile in the kitchen. They installed about 1200 sq. ft. of flooring in our house. They did the work within a good time period; we got an estimate from them about a month ago, and they finished up the work this week. I really enjoyed working with Ken. I don?t think he is the owner, but he is one of the top salespersons and is one of the family people. He was very professional and offered good pricing. He was able to work out some of the prices with the vendors, and I appreciated that, especially with that much flooring we had to put in. I loved the work that they did - it was beautiful. We just purchased the house and don?t live in it yet, so it was easy for them to get in and out. We gave them the key to the house. They left lights on, left the garage door open once and did that kind of thing, and that kind of bothered us a little bit, but that was about it; for the most part, it was a very good experience. We would probably use them again for a few other projects that we would like to do.

The installer arrived a little early, demo-ed the old floor & cleaned the surface for the new 13" porcelain tiles. He explained that he had to make all the cuts before starting to glue, since he was using "15 minute glue"--and he left no mess outside where he cut the tile. He installed the tile nicely, re-seated the toilet, grouted, and sealed the grout. He even noticed that the toilet float-valve had been sticking/ leaking, so turned off the water until we could get that fixed. He was here 2/3 of the day. The floor looks wonderful, the grout dried to a perfect color, and the price Buffaloe quoted was below HALF of the quote from a recommended contractor who said the floor would take a week! (That included removing the molding & replacing it with new that would need painting.) We used Buffaloe 2 years ago for our hardwood, and recommend them to our neighbors, who have used them because of that.

I will spend about $2700 on that work. I decided to use them because they have been in the business for over 30 years and they had good reviews on the list. The person that came out and gave me the estimate seemed to be competent at what he was doing. They brought the product out and were really nice. Their responsiveness is very good.

We replaced the carpeting in our bedrooms with Mohawk SmartStrand carpeting. Scott was helpful in answering our questions on our visit, and allowed us to take home samples. After making our choice, we were told that it would be a matter of a week or so to order and install our carpet, and it was exactly that. The installers showed up right on time, took the approximate 4 hours that we were told it would take to install, and cleaned up well. I have to add that during installation our thermostat was damaged, but within a matter of a couple of a few hours an electrician was sent out to replace it at no charge. We also ordered wood blinds for our bedroom and were also happy with the purchase and installation of those as well.

They responded promptly and made room for us at short notice, did a very thorough inspection and got us quotes in very short order. We appreciated his openness about refinishing vs new. He also took measurements in rooms we might need to refinish in tile or other material, as well as kitchen counters etc as Buffaloe also does this type of work. We were pleased with the initiative, service, and friendliness.

Kurt was our sales guy. He had done my parents' floors and several other floors of people we knew. The old floors were refinished BEAUTIFULLY by a crew led by Sergio. They also installed new hardwoods where the previous homeowner had a leak and they matched up the brand new wood that was previously unfinished with the 50 year old floors perfectly. In our den (former garage), a moisture barrier was not installed, so our floors began to buckle a few months later because of the moisture of the slab. The slab should've been tested prior to install, but it wasn't. Though a little inconvenient for me, Kurt sent his crew back out to put new floors down in that one room with a moisture barrier. They look AWESOME. We have remodeled this house top to bottom. It was basically a brick shell and a roof- we had it down to the studs. We have used probably 50 or more companies to do everything from insulation, granite, painting, cabinetry, flooring, plumbing, etc. and I can honestly say that Buffaloe Flooring Company is one of the best. What sets them apart is that they are a family company that prides itself on its reputation. They are an established company and are committed to doing things right. And if they aren't exactly right, they will fix it until you are satisfied. I can't say enough about Kurt and Buffaloe Flooring in general. They treat you like family. PROS = Honesty/Integrity - Trust me, in the construction business... this is the hardest quality to find Workmanship - I can't speak for any of the other crews, but the crew Sergio runs is awesome. Sergio and his crew spent about an hour with me with about 10 cans of stain- trying different combinations of color until we found a color I loved. Responsiveness - You are able to get in touch with them if there is a problem and they are there to address it CONS = Not the cheapest. I have learned that in the construction industry, you usually "get what you pay for". They aren't the most expensive, but if you get a cheap company whose workmanship you aren't happy with and they bail on you, you end up paying much more anyway. Overall, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND Buffaloe Flooring. Things didn't go 100% perfectly (NOTHING did in my entire remodel), but what sets them apart is that they didn't quit until I was 100% satisfied. I have never seen more beautiful hardwood floors.

I didn't choose them because they didn't have the selection that I wanted, but they were very professional. The person I worked with was one of the top men in the company. It is a small company. I liked him and he was very professional. He was very punctual when he came to my house.

Extremely well. The saleman had said we'd have a crew of 4-5 guys & the job would take 2-3 days. We had a terrific crew of 2 men doing a tough job of demo-ing old floors, leveling, and installing hardwoods in 4 rooms in 4 1/2 days. John is very skilled and knowledgeable, and also a very even-keeled and nice guy; Marvin works very hard, too. We could walk on the floors immediately, the glue didn't stink for days, and we could put down rugs after 3 days--much, much better than some other hardwood installations we've heard about. The product is very good quality with a thick wear layer, and the floors look great. We've recommended them to friends.

Ken Lunsmann helped me identify the flooring for my traditional home and in my price range. It's beautiful. The workmen were professional, on time and industrious. They cleaned everything up afterwards, too. Amazing. I loved it. And the floors, oh my, the floors are gorgeous. I'd use Buffaloe again in a minute. They offered me six different stain colors to choose from when it was time to pick.

They have been very responsive. The person that I worked with was awesome. I haven?t used them yet. My experience with them has been very pleasant.

We thought Larry listened carefully when we explained our cost parameters and did not try to sell us more than what we needed. Installation was done very quickly and was a very nice job. At the last minute, we decided to have them not carpet up to the door and place a small piece of vinyl to try to preserve the carpet. They were happy to accommodate, and the charge was minimal.

Finding honest contractors is invaluable. Sometimes turning down work and saying you should not do any work at that time ends up leading to more business. I hope this is the case for these folks.

When I called Buffalo, they answered my call quickly, came out to measure, gave me a price, ordered the carpet we picked out, and came back a week later to install the carpet. They did an excellent job, and the guys were on time, polite, professional, and courteous. Their prices were very reasonable. The carpet looks real nice, and we haven't had any problems. We would definitely use them again.

They do an awesome job with my floors. I also had them install carpet and wood floors in my home. It looks great. The employees were very professional and when they said they were going to be here they were. I think its great that there are no blemishes and everything held together great.

Hardwood floors are in other parts of my house so I wanted hardwood in my kitchen and utility room floors. I called Buffaloes to do the work. Larry does great work and my floors are perfect. We also used them to lay a carpet in one of the bedrooms. Buffaloes are excellent. Their prices are very competitive and Larry is a great installer. I will be using them in the future.
