Buffaloe Floors and Up

Enrique was wonderful to work with. He understood our budget and our goals for the house and came to the house several times before even getting the job to help us visualize the end product. I had a couple of problems with the workers but Enrique cleared those items up quickly and to my liking. It took a while to get all the loose ends tied up after the bulk of the project was complete but he continued to treat us as a priority and contacted anyone we needed in order to complete the job. The house looks great and I couldn't be happier!

They did a really good job. They've even come back out free of charge to fix some problems that I caused to the flooring myself. They did good work.

I called Buffaloe for a bid to refinish and stain harwoods and was told - rather curtly - that they were "30 days out from doing an estimate" since they only had one guy.I ignored a previous "F" rating due to the company's response but I tend to agree with that rater: BUffaloe does not want the small jobs.

We were out of country and contacted Buffaloe Floor Covering over the phone and email. They changed the flooring at our home during our absence and did a great job. I am pleased with the level of service, punctuality and professionalism. They also sent us photos of the completed work and we were pleased with it.

Went wonderful - they did a great job. The employees that installed the floors were courteous, clean and quick. Ken came out and did the estimate on a Saturday morning and had appointments available shortly after we moved into our home. The floors are beautiful and we are more than pleased with the quality. I can't say enough great things about our experience. We received a few estimates and Buffaloe was not the cheapest but we trusted Ken the most. Thank you so much!

The first rep contacted me as soon as I sent an inquiry for a quote. He stayed in touch by email for about a week coordinating details up until the day of the visit which he then passed communication onto another sales rep. The second rep was 30 minutes late for the appointment but was thorough with his measurements and had samples. The quote took a couple of days to receive because he didn't have my email address from the first rep. Although we discussed replacing baseboards it was not included in the estimate. So I'm not sure where the mis-communication happened.

My advice: find a company that is professional to clients with all size jobs, not just the ones they think will bring in the big bucks.

The work went really well. The person that came out was nice, knowledgeable, and I was happy with the work.

They brought out samples to our house, which is very easy and professional. They gave me plenty of options and they even have financing options as far as payment and they were really flexible on that. They are quick and very responsive.

Larry came to look at the bath floor we needed replace the same day I called. Very nice man. He took all the measurements, pictures and removed a tile so he could get something similar. We knew the tile couldn't be matched, but we had hoped to find something similar to use to redo the whole floor. When I did not hear back for several days, I called again and left a message on Larry's phone. Three days later, both Larry and another gentleman called and assured me they would be getting back with me. It's now been 20 days later and no word. We have decided to go with another company.

I called for an estimate. Ronnie and his crew came out and met me promptly, and were on time for the appointment. They also had samples. The estimate was provided the next day via email, was detailed, and fair. (I had compared pricing with two other companies. One was higher, one lower, but I felt that Buffalo was the most professional). The services were scheduled, and they arrived on time. I was happy with the work. No mess was left. I feel what stood out, is that I had ordered a new stove, and it didn't fit correctly in the space. The old stove fit, but there was a little less than the standard 40" left for the new one. When I called Ronnie, he had his guy come out the very next day and recut the counter. He even helped me adjust the feet on the stove, and move it in place. A few weeks later, I noticed the sink was loose. Again, when I called his guys came out the very next day to correct the problem. We are not sure how the sink became loose, possibly when the plumber did some work. I was impressed that both of these items were fixed with no questions asked, and promptly even though it had been some time after the work was completed. The work was completed on my townhouse which had been a rental, that I was putting on the market. I had used other contractors previously, and wish I had known about Angie's List, and Buffalo Floors back then. I would definitely use them again.

Ronnie was the first contact we made. He was very attentive to our selection process. We had gotten 3 quotes and Buffaloe very competitive pricing , they have been in continuous business for 40 years. No high pressure to buy, top quality Hickory wood and tile. The tile crew (2 guys) started on Monday and finished on Tuesday, worked non stop with very short breaks. The wood flooring crew (4 guys) started on Wednesday finished on Thursday. Both crews very experienced with many years in the flooring industry. They explained each step, moved furniture, cleaned up every day. When they finished the floors looked very good. They brought in a door company to install new thresholds and weather seals, i found this to be very reasonable in price. All in all a very good experience and will use them in the future.

The crew arrived promptly daily. Neatly dressed and very polite,well groomed. Very quiet workers,no blarring radios and never saw them yaking on a cell phone at all. No cussing at each other nor horseplay That drives me crazy. They work like trojans,never stop but for lunch. They keep the work area clean during the process and clean very well when they finish. These guys are craftsmen,not,"read the instructions" half baked installers/trainees. These are true professional craftsmen. Overall installation went very well. Scott was very responsive, patient and accommodating as we had checked with a number of other companies, but none seem to quite offer what we were looking for. Upon checking Angie's list we decided to try Buffaloe Flooring and are glad we did. They had a good selection floor coverings and the price was very competitive. We had a few weeks wait before the work could be done due to availability of the specific flooring selected. Options were provided available flooring but decided to go with our primary selection as timing was not critical. Upon receipt of the materials we were notified and the work completed in just a couple of days. The crews were very efficient and the quality of work very good. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for floor coverings.

I stopped by buffloe flooring and talked to scott. i brought a sample of the existing flooring from my house that I wanted to match. We matched it. Scott came by my house and he measured and then gave me the estimate via email. We talked on the phone about setting up a date and decided on one. They dropped off the material early per my request. They started work on the prescribed day a hour later than scheduled but no big deal. They had a foreman and two workers. The foreman was going back and forth between jobs and the other two workers worked dilligently installing the floors and moving furniture. The flooring is smelly. We had three bedrooms with carpet that they removed and replaced with the quick step plastic flooring. We aired out the rooms. They showed up on time the next day and continued working, finishing the job in two days. The furniture was moved back in place and they cleaned up.

They arrived on time and finshed the job in one day (not including the extra work they did on day two to replace a portion of a damaged wood floor that was installed 10 years ago). Overall, everything went very well, and we are extremely pleased with the final results. One thing -- we didn't anticipate how chaotic, loud and DUSTY the process would be -- which is our issue, not theirs. Breathing in the wood dust has bothered our allergies quite a bit, but not much they could do about that. We did have to rearrange a few things and re-connect the headboard to the queen-size bed in one room (wasn't done correctly or tightly enough to keep it steady), but not a big issue. They offered to buy and install furniture pads on the bottom of the furniture so we could move it easily across the wood floors, and that's been a big help, but one piece of furniture is wobbly as a result, so we'll need to fix that. They were professional and friendly, worked quickly and cleaned up when the job was completed. The floor-repair expert who came the following day was very nice and professional, and did an outstanding job in replacing the damaged section of floor. Our salesman, Ronnie, was great -- he kept us informed and made sure everything was going well. We would definitely hire this company again.

We started as most do,going to the store we all see advertised to choose a wood. THEN you have to find an installer,who doesnt actually work for the store. We saw Buffaloe on Angies List and called them.Luckiest call I ever made. Got a better quality wood,from a company,family owned,in Houston for 50 years,all installers are employees of Buffaloe so you dont have to chase them down if there is a problem,for $600.00 LESS than the first quote,......PLUS Buffaloe re-installed some of the carpet in a small bedroom after removing the cheap flooring the previous owner installed himself. The first installer wouldnt even consider doing that. We got perfection,faster,cheaper and more of it for $600.00 LESS!! AND I KNOW Buffaloe will be there if I need them. I asked Ken to measure two other rooms while he was here and the first job was in progress. Cant say "CALL BUFFALOE FLOORING" too many times,.....we are glad we did.

I prefer not to disclose the amount that I spent on their services. I would recommend them to the others. They did an excellent job.

My husband and I recently had a condominium renovated. In the course of moving out some heavy furniture, some tile was damaged in the entry way of that condo. I called at least eight places to get assistance on this small job. Some told me that they could not take such a small job. Some swore they'd call me back but never did. One of those was from Angie's List! One gave me the number for a handyman they recommend for small jobs like mine but the number was no longer valid. Finally, the good people of Buffalo Floor Covering came to my rescue. I spoke to Scott from Buffalo Floor Covering on June 28th. I told him that I was taking time off July 2 through July 5 and was hoping at least to get an estimate of my repair somewhere in that time period. I decided to include a repair of some transition pieces in our home that needed attention. Scott told me that he'd see to it and he did! On Monday, I received a call from John, who had time that very day to come over and review the job. We met and made a plan to get things handled the very next day, July 3rd. He gave me a great estimate, $175 and let me know that it might be a little more if the materials he needed cost more than he thought they would. On July 3rd John showed up early and asked if that was ok. Of course I said YES!! He worked diligently to get everything handled. He was not only very expert in his work but also lovely to visit with. When he was done he showed me the work, which was superb! and told me that the materials were a little more than expected but only charged a few dollars more for them. I was so happy with the work and the overall experience that I gave John $250. I highly recommend the team at Buffalo Floor Covering for their expertise, professionalism, and integrity.

It was a job long overdue and now the room is clean, freshly painted and tiled to match the rest of the floors. I am very glad that job is done.

Prompt and courteous from the beginning. Accurate estimate given within one day. Friendly and patient salesman (Ryan) let us take our time with selections. Helpful in discussing flooring options, fitting our needs versus cost. Removal of old flooring, floating foundation, and hardwood installation in two days. Carpet removal and installation in one day. Great experience. I would highly recommend them to family, friends, and other Angie's list members.

Started off with Ryan as my salesperson and completely appreciated the fact that he was completely honest and understood what I needed as opposed to what I wanted. The installation was quicker than I thought and very professional. I definitely will use them again and will gladly highly recommend.

Was told it could take five days - only took three. Minimum mess. Polite workers. Very pleased with finished product. Work was done at my new address.
