Description of Work: Our front door lock no longer worked, so yesterday I checked Angie's List for a referral and decided to call Bravo. What a great choice!! Jose was right on time, quickly repaired the lock, and then made several maintenance suggestions. The bill was fair, Jose was an absolute gentleman and Ruben called within 30 minutes to confirm that I was happy with the service. What a great experience! Thanks Bravo!

They quickly responded and fixed it without even needing replacement parts. Excellent job and the service provider was very nice to our giant dog and toddler, both of whom were inspecting his work.

He repaired the doorknob and lock and made 3 extra keys, which was great because we cannot get duplicate keys make by anyone but a locksmith. Jose was friendly, efficient and very professional. I would definitely call him again.

Description of Work: I had some Baldwin all brass locks that were not operating normally. I was expecting a huge bill to replace the locksets.Jose came out and disassembled the locksets, adjusted the parts into proper alignment and left me with working locksets and a delighted feeling because they repaired and did not have to replace the sets.

+ -1 moreAfter purchasing our new home I wanted to install double-keyed deadbolts to our doors in addition to, or in replacement of, the single-barrel deadbolts already on the door. I called Bravo and they recommended the brand of locks I should buy. They were honest about me buying the locks on my own since that would be cheaper than buying them through their company. When the technician arrived, he quickly got to work on installing all the dead bolts. We had a mixture of wood, steel and fiberglass doors, both single and double. He had no problem adapting his work to each door. He also made me as many extra keys as I wanted. The service was terrific and timely. I would definitely trust them to do work for me again in the future.

+ -1 moreStart to finish the process took no more than 45 minutes. We called and were told someone would be out our house in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later a locksmith was at the door. Ten minutes after that we were in the house. He even suggested several tips for securing the house as well as suggesting locations for hide-a-keys. One of the best locksmith experiences we have had, would highly recommend them.

Price for all the work (there was a lot of work) was really good and much less than I expected. Service was wonderful and professional--can't say enough good things about Jose. + -1 moreJose actually arrived 8 minutes early, which I found totally amazing and delightful these days. He listened carefully to my description of the problem, looked at the door, and in less than a half hour, had adjusted the plate in the door facing. Now, when I close the door and lock the doorknob, the lock bar sits securely in the plate. No amount of pushing or yanking on the door can get it to pop open. It opens and locks just fine with the key, also. This is a huge relief for me, first from the standpoint of keeping myself and my house secure, and because I have alerted my alarm system monitoring company that this door has been fixed, so any future incursion alarms should be taken very seriously, not disregarded as a problematic door popping itself open.
Description of Work: After the alarm system at my townhouse registered a mid-day incursion while I was at work, and the Houston Police Department responded, only to find nothing disturbed, I returned home later thatt night and found the door from the interior of my garage into the first floor of the house standing open about 2 inches. Being single, middle-aged, and with a suspicious turn of mind, I refused to enter alone. My neighbor and his friend accompanied me inside. Everything was OK, but my neighbor showed me that the door in question was not locking properly. To remedy this problem, I called Bravo Key & Lock. Jose came out, arriving very punctually, and had the door locking securely in less than a half hour. He adjusted the plate in the door facing opposite the locking door knob so that when I close and lock the door, the lock bar catches properly in the plate. What a relief! Now that I can arm my alarm system when I'm away, confident there will be no more false alarms caused by the door opening itself, I feel much more secure when I return in the evening. And, should the system register another incursion while I'm away, my security company knows this door issue has been resolved, so DO call HPD!
