Description of Work: When I called and said I'd be out from 2-3:30pm, I was told the technician would come out after 4pm, so I was surprised when he showed up at 1:20pm. He did call first. I was also surprised when the van and man's shirt logo said Republic Air. It might have been nice to have been forwarned. Then he said I was not under contract an no one had come out to check the systems in over a year, which is not correct. I had to call the company to see if this was a subcontractor to which they said no. He did fix the AC and when I asked questions he did answer and show me the fan motor was not working. He replaced the motor quickly and was on his way. I did ask about the Angie's List coupon which he said was for new clients only. If this is so, it would be nice to see that stipulation in print.

Description of Work: They came, told us what the problem was with our A/C. Returned with the new part within an hour and replaced and repaired. From the time I called and the repair was made was only a few hours. Very polite and helpful. Will recommend and use again.

Description of Work: Checked our A/C unit. We found out it was under warranty so no services rendered.

Description of Work: Added new duct in closet. Replaced small bathroom duct with a larger one to fix the lack of heat that reached the room. This work was previously done by another company, but was inadequate. Bellaire fixed the problem that the other company could not. My bathroom went from an igloo to a comfortable room. While completing the repair, they found another duct that was not connected properly leaked heat into the attic. They reconnected that duct as well.

Description of Work: According to Angie's list, this company is a Super Service Award recipient. Enthusiastically, I called to make an appointment for an air conditioning problem, but the man who answered the phone said that they don't travel west of the beltway. When I tried to explain that according to Angies list, his business was only 8.6 miles from my house, he just didn't want to hear what I had to say, insisting that I was out of their service area. Evidently, with their Super Service reputation, they have plenty of business to throw away in this recession.

Description of Work: I called this company 3 times this week and they do not return phone calls. I need a new system and am looking to spend around 10k.

Description of Work: Our air conditioning is releasing excessive amounts of water. Fortunately it is outside to the garden but it is killing our plants. The gentleman who showed up did not even bother to look at or test the systems. He only replaced the air filters (which weren't that old) and charged us 75$ to do it. Clearly he had other more important things to do than help customers. Would never use this company again.

Description of Work: Bellaire AC, is a family owned business, has been around for a long long time. Rusty, a co-owner, bid on the job with multiple options, personally inspected the site and was personally involved in all aspects of the work. We discussed the options at length and Rusty gave me references to an electrician and insulator. The outcome was great and I couldn't be happier. By the way, he did not require 50% up front money and a 10% Angie's list discount was given! Don't get any better than that! We will be using Bellaire AC for all our HVAC needs. Thanks Rusty.
