 + 5 moreIt could not of gone any better. I needed a lot of electrical work done at my parents house because it was stuck in the 1970's and I am so glad I found Alberto. This guy is truly a master electrician, and his work is perfect from start to finish. He has been to my house 9 times to install an indoor fan, an outdoor fan, he's put in 7-10 new grounded outlets, outlet banks in the bathroom, he's run new dedicated lines from the fuse boxes to other sides of the house, he's dug trenches to bury lines for fountains and a pond, he's done expert cable management on the exterior of the house for 16 hard wired security cameras, he's replaced power lines downed by storms from the garage to the main house. He's never been late, is always beyond fair, never leaves until the work is done exactly the way I wanted it, and I couldn't possibly say one negative thing. He's a true professional master electrician and I will never call anyone else. Alberto is an A+++++++ top notch Master Electrician.

 + 0 moreHe brought someone with him, because he had to get up to the cathedral ceiling. It was maybe $250. He did everything really well. If I have something else I need, I will call on him.
Description of Work: I had him come down to my other house and install 2 ceiling fans. He changed out some light bulbs. All the ceilings in the pace up there are very tall. He had to go up on ladders and do a lot of work and he was very, very good at that too.

When he came to me house on the $99 deal, I did not pay him any than $99. I liked him enough that I hired him to come down to my house in Galveston and do some work down there, and that I paid him more than $99, I paid him what he asked. He was good, he came on time. He was professional. It took him a little less than 2 hours, because he said to me, ?is there anything else that I can do, because you have still got more time on your 2 hours!?

The professional services and courtesy he provided will take him far in his career. I immediately added him to my contact list of "go-to" contractors and will be recommending him to all my friends and associates.
Description of Work: We had installed a new remote controlled Minka Aire ceiling fan in our den but we're unable to get the remote to sync with its receiver. After much trouble shooting, my husband agreed to hiring an electrician. After reading the positive reviews here on Angie's List, I chose Backup Electric. The owner of Backup Electric, Alberto Martinez, answered my call himself and agreed to troubleshoot the fan and install two other fans. We then scheduled an appointment time for the very next day. Alberto texted me when he was on his way with his ETA and easily diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. He also explained how he was able to sync the remote so I could relay that information to my husband who has decades of experience installing all our fans over the years and was anxious to know what he had missed. He then quickly and efficiently installed our other two fans. Alberto was not only extremely professional but a very personable, well-mannered young man. I highly recommend his services and will be calling him again soon to install recess lighting in our kitchen.

 + -1 moreThey did the work and she was very pleased with their work. She was having a problem where some of her outlets weren't working and they came over there and found the problem was a bad outlet and then he assured out some of the other outlets.

 + 1 moreThese guys are outstanding. Very professional and honest in my experience with them. They are always on time. I like how they optimize the time (you paid) with work. I noticed that some parts were needed from the hardware store, well, one left to get them while the other stayed behind doing useful work on the room (they both didn't just leave). They work fast and give attention to detail, very respectful of the home too -they vacuum whatever dirt/mess was done (with their own vacuum). Another trait I noted from these guys is their "can do" attitude, I'm glad I found them. I won't be looking for an electrician in a while.
Description of Work: Eliminated rail lighting and added 5 recessed lighting fixtures in a room on a dimmer. Installed 4 ceiling speakers. Rerouted ethernet cable to a new location.
