Matthew did an amazing job. I had a cedar chest that my grandfather originally bought as a gift for my grandmother just before they were married in 1943. It had gone through some family members before I received it and had glass ring marks, major scratches, portions of the veneer missing, and many other issues. My grandmother wanted it back at her house since my grandfather passed away 10 years ago this year and she wanted to see it again. I couldn't bear to return it to her in the condition it was in so I called Matthew. I told him the story behind it and he immediately understood the sentimental value and history. When I received the chest back three weeks later (just in time for Mother's Day), it was as beautiful as the day when my grandfather bought it. He protected the art deco inlays and other things that were essential to the piece while making it appear new again. My grandmother teared up when she saw it again because it was as she remembered it. Matthew was responsive when I called and always called me back within 24 hours, he was friendly and really took time to understand the importance of the piece/work. I asked a lot of questions and he was great at educating me about the process while also consulting with me on the direction to take for the restoration. He is truly a professional who cares and I will go back to him for any future work without question.

I wasn't satisfied. I actually paid for them to re-glue a rocking chair of mine. When I got it back, I hadn't set it it yet, since it still needed to be upholstered. When I did, it was still squeaky. I took it back and they told me that they hadn't glued it, just screwed it in. I had to take it all the way back across town, so I was pretty annoyed to say the least. They are currently in the process of gluing it.

Mr. Hahn responded quickly to our phone call, answering all our questions. He promptly picked up the two tables and rocking chair and within a week had all three pieces restored. He was able to smooth the buckled laminate on one table, refurbish the top of another, and bring back the luster of the rocker to its original beauty. I am very satisfied.

Quick response and picked up table and delivered it back to us. Matched the other furniture perfectly.

Mr. Hahn responded promptly to the message I left him. We arranged a time convenient for both of us for him to come over and give an estimate for the refinishing of a 9 drawer desk with a damaged top. When we decided to have the work done, we called and he had someone pick up the desk that day. In approximately a week, the desk was ready. He did a beautiful job of fixing the top and refinishing the desk.

Extremely responsive. Answered the phone on the first ring. Came by that evening to look at the furniture and picked it up at that time. For what needed to be done, the turn around time was incredible. The refinishing work was artistic. The aged cabinet has been revived and I couldn't be happier. Not only would I use this company again, but am happy to refer them to my friends.

I did not get the finish I expected, for the price I paid. His pick up and delivery time was kind of ''iffy''. It was as though he was so busy that he couldn't give me a definite time. Also, only once did I get him direct when I called. I had to wait for his convenience to c.b.

After getting no response from two other companies, I called Artique expecting to leave a message. Matthew picked up on the second ring and came by to provide an estimate that same evening. The chairs were done and returned to me in five days - one needed more work than estimated, but the price remained the same. They did a great job, the price was totally fair, and I'm amazed how fast they responded.

EXCELLENT WORK, EXCELLENT SERVICE. ON TIME, VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE PRICE WAS UNBEATABLE. PREVIOUS ESTIMATES FOR THE REFINISHING WERE OVER $1000.00.
