Description of Work: I ended up purchasing an A/C unit from these out of immediate need. WHen they came to diagnose the old unit, and proclaimed it dead, I signed a contract for a new one, only to discover while waiting for the new unit to arrive, that the problem was really a burnt contactor. Unit was old and needed replacing, but their unprofessionalism would steer me away from them for any future needs. They gave me a $200 credit, but this did nothing to change my mind about the experience.

Description of Work: I had a backup and they said it was x and it turned out to be y. Had to call in some real professionals and pay over $5000 for my sewer problems and broken pipes in three places.

Description of Work: I called at around 8 while mopping up a flood in the bathroom. The driver had trouble finding it, finally arrived around 9. He ran the rooter down the sewer line, then started saying over and over, "Lady, you have a problem." I asked if the line was clear now. He said yes, but said it was going to happen again, maybe the next day, maybe next month, then he kept saying "Lady, you have a PROBLEM! I said I knew I had a problem, because the bathroom and part of the bedroom had flooded. He kept saying the same thing. I was unnerved because of the frantic flood mopping inside and the fact that this was already costing me a lot, but I asked him what the problem was. He ran a camera down the line, which showed the line to the street had detached from the line from the bathrooms, leaving a gap. He started a high-speed commentary (punctuated by the same phrase), with things like "Look at THAT! That's a ROOT! You have a ROOT in the line!" then launched into how much they could fix this for: $12,000! He wanted me to sign up for that then. I told him there was no way, I'd check with the townhome association first, to see if it was their responsibility, but I didn't have that kind of money. He said maybe he could get it done for less, maybe $10,000. I said no. He was not pleased. He was not pleased when I pulled out the $50. coupon I printed from online. He left in a fairly unfriendly mood. I found out the next day that the townhome association IS responsible for the costs, and the master plumber they hire to do that charges $6000. for the job, which involves a lot of digging. I don't appreciate being hassled by scare tactics late at night. I wonder how many homeowners would have just gone ahead and signed a contract for the $12,000? Probably enough to make this scam continue.

Description of Work: Yearly a/c maintenance. Cleaned 3 units, cleared drain lines, replaced worn parts and changed filters. Everything was explained to me in detail and I felt the job was done thoroughly.
