Their service turned out okay. I tried to get them to come out tow o two or three days but my schedule was such that we could not get together on a time for them to come out. It was not their fault, it was ours. I need to get with them to renew my contract. They were pretty polite and they take care of business. They wear booties so they won't get the carpet dirty. It is a pretty good group. I paid $150 yearly for the contract. The price was alright.

So far so good. It was a special from the store. It took them about 45 minutes.

Called ARS to give a bid on installing a hot water heater through Home Depot and rerouting a pole clean out line. The person that came seemed to be knowledgeable and was very professional and polite. When it came time to look at the second rerouting job he said he didn't have the experience needed for the job and he would schedule someone to come out the next day. He gave us the bid for the hot water heater install and we almost literally fell on the floor. $1800 for the installation. that does NOT include the heater! There was a long list on items that were not code and would need to be replaced at exorbitant prices. Over a $100 for the pan! Really! You can buy one for $20-$30 at home-depot. The list went on and on of all the things that would need to be replaced to pass inspection including changing the drain line from 3/4 to 1 inch. Plus the cost of the permit at over $200. We would have to hire a roofer to come and repair the vent pipe after they disrupted it during the install, through them $450 - roofer $75. We did not have a problem having the needed items changed to pass inspection, it is important to be safe with a gas heater. It was the prices, they were totally ridiculous. He told us if we had called ARS directly that it would have been about $400 cheaper. Well that was an eye opening statement. We will NEVER call Home Depot again to install anything. The next day someone was supposed to come to look at the rerouting job. I waited until 6pm no one called or came. Called ARS the next day, no one had been scheduled. They had no explanation. They offered to have someone come out asap, I declined. We have found what appears to be a good company through AL - Water Heaters Houston that will install and INCLUDE the heater for about $1400. That includes permit at $114 not over $200 - which means ARS up charged even the permit fee!! Roof vent repair and ALL needed parts are also included. I will review them once the install is done 3-20-15. They were very honest - they want to sell water heaters!

The service man seemed to know about plumbing. Called his boss to get a price and gave us the estimate. I cant blame the service rep because he's not the one coming up with the install prices. He gave us a qoute for a regular water heater which was half the price. Still not using ARS though because of the initial bid. Houston is booming and prices are high because of demand. ARS is not who i would recommend though.

Horrible they were a no show just like some of the other reviews show.

They came in just before winter to do the heating inspection. They are very good, polite and courteous. They are always on time.

I have used them for many years. They do plumbing, electrical, air conditioning -- everything. They are local, but I think they are nationwide. I use them because they can come out the day I call and they give me a pretty good window of time. The technician who comes out varies. They repair what is wrong. I have even had them come out and tell me a bolt needed tightening. Then they would tighten it and leave and not charge me. They do what needs to be done and don't do anything extra. They are very knowledgeable and most of their repair people have been doing it a long time. Most of the time they have had the parts on their truck but I had them fix an icemaker one time and they had to order the part.

It took these people less than 1 minute to unstop the drain. They charged $147.00 which is nuts. They did not have to take anything apart. I understand that had these people had to take apart drain or go thru vent pipe and spend some time here that the price would have be justified. If one has a plumbing problem do not call these guys, call someone else. This was way too high for what was done. I understand that they need to be paid for a service call but this price was certainly not customer friendly. If my sewer was stopped up, the price would have been less than 1/3 the price, if you believe their add. Use this company at your own risk but do not expect a fair price.

They're good. They've been consistent. I have an annual package with them where I get the heating and the air conditioning checkup. They're efficient. They're quick to answer your calls. Overall, they did fine.

Did the work and was very professional

Called to have my yearly furnace check. Heating unit was not working. Determined that I need a new thermostat which I had installed by them on that day.

This all started with a/c unit not blowing cool air. Several years ago we had the evaporator coil replaced which ARS noted that it was not up to code. Considering that at that time we subscribed to First American Home Warranty service, I don't doubt it. But that's another story or I should say nightmare for another time. Let's just say that ARS was a great relief after FAHW. I made the call to ARS and I believe they came out the same day (don't remember). I do remember that they were able to replace the unit the following day. They were professional, on time and understood the urgency. And of course I now understand the importance of replacing a complete HVAC unit especially when it's 15+ years old. I hate to take this space to comment on First American but they left such a bad memory if when the a/c stopped cooling during an extreme hot spell and the process to just replace the evaporator coil took more than a week. The fact that my 79 year old mother and 2 large dogs could not remain in a suffocating hot house did nothing to speed up the process other than they could provide portable a/c units for a charge. So off to a motel we went. Sorry for that side note. Let me just say that I wish I had known about ARS then. The whole process only took 2 days after my initial phone call and 1 day after their diagnosis. They offer a plan for the recommended semi annual tune ups. Their customer device is very good. They follow up with confirmation phone calls

It was fine. I used them through my home warranty company. They are prompt, considerate, helpful, and clean. They got the drain snaked in about 20 minutes. The scheduling was fine and they arrive promptly.

We were satisfied with them coming out and they did what they were here to do. We had to use them because they are with our home warranty plan. They didn’t try to say that anything else was needed and they fixed the problem. They got the job done in about one hour and they took the time to explain things to my husband and were personable.

It was quite expensive but they did a good job. They were very punctual and they were at my house within an hour and they were very prompt. They got the job done in about 2 hours. The plumbers were friendly, professional, and they spoke English.

They were wonderful and they were at my house within 20 minutes. They got the job done in about 10 minutes. The plumber was very sweet and he called me back within 5 minutes to tell me he was on his way.

The service was fine and they did a good job. They were courteous, on time, and they took care of my problems. I also have a service contract with them.

I called them and they were out within an hour. They remedied the problem right away. I have a service contract with them. I have been a customer with them for the last 2-3 years. They are really good at appliance repair. They have a good inventory of repair parts.

I have used them a few different times as they are with our warranty plan. I have been pleased with them. The scheduling was good and it was not hard to get an appointment with them. Most of the technicians are above average.

The service was great and they did an outstanding job. My neighbor saw them doing the work and he called them to use them when he needed work. I called them and they were at the house within 2 hours and they had the work done that evening. They came back 2 days later and replaced the grass that they dug up. They sent 2 guys out to do the job.

Above and beyond what I expected

I wish I could give a review on service, but alas, they never cared to show up so I can't. We were told a technician would show up between 8-12 on Sunday morning to look at a problem with our A/C. We were also told we could expect a 30 minute courtesy call before their arrival. At 12:15, there was no technician and no call, so I called ARS. The operator seemed to care less about the fact we were waiting. She even yawned while talking to me. When I asked the whereabouts of the technician, she told me they were running late and we were the next call. I was told that meant that it "would be the next couple of hours, hopefully". So, we just cancelled the appointment. Sorry, if I can't trust you to show up on time (or, at the very least, call to explain your tardiness and expected arrival time) then I can't be expected to trust you to make a repair on my home in a competent and professional manner. Very, very big disappointment and waste of a weekend morning.

A/C installation 2 yrs ago required about 4 visits to get unit working reasonably well, although there was still some uneven cooling on the third floor with the second unit. I had them return for 2-yr maintenance, since they installed the system. The most competent person I've met with them identified that the third-floor unit was not sized properly for the duct system (don't know why they didn't realize that during installation). The duct system was upgraded (which now works well), but we're waiting for the second post-duct work visit to get a water leak problem fixed that arose a week after the duct work was complete. Every bit of work we've needed has required 4-5 visits. Each visit basically requires being home all day, as the time windows are not accurate. People are very polite and professional, but that doesn't help get the problem fixed. They'd have to schedule fewer visits if the work was complete and correct during the first visit.

The installation went fairly well on June 9-10, although we had to stay on top of the workers while they were finishing up because there were numerous air leaks in the attic that had to be sealed, otherwise the workers were ready to leave with all that cold air leaking out into the attic. Within a couple of days I realized that the new, enlarged return air intake vent, located below the attic access door in the hallway, was pulling warm air directly down from the attic access door. The attic door was no longer closing with a tight enough fit, at least not tight enough with the more powerful cooling system I was told we really needed to buy. I could easily feel the heated draft of attic air as I walked down the hallway under the attic door. Due to an unexpected family medical emergency, I was unable to call ARS until June 17 to have someone come out to address the problem. I was told a technician would be at my home between 1:00 and 5:00. No one ever showed up that day or even called. The next morning (June 18) I called ARS and was told a technician would be out that day. When he showed up, he was surly and treated me as if I was crazy to think there was warm air coming from the attic door. He told me he couldn't feel a thing. I can't recall ever being treated in such a dismissive attitude by a service provider. Not only I, but numerous adult family members were able to feel the warm draft in the days before. He told me that I could go to Home Depot to buy an attic door tent, but I told him I thought ARS should do that considering what I'd spent on the new system and that I didn't have this problem with a warm air draft before they did the work. He indicated it wasn't ARS's problem and left. I immediately called ARS and spoke with Joseph in the customer satisfaction department. He claimed the technician handled it all wrong and should have suggested to me that someone from ARS's sister company, EAS, should be called out because they handle attic insulation. Joseph said he would send in a request to have someone from EAS contact me regarding the attic door problem. He emphatically stated that I would either be contacted by him or someone from EAS and that there shouldn't be any difficulty in resolving the problem. Having not heard back from anybody, I called Joseph on June 23. Acting so surprised that no one (allegedly he sent an email to two different managers at EAS) had contacted me, he asked me to again describe the problem. He said he was going to talk with his supervisor to see if ARS couldn't just have another technician come to the house, assess the problem, and either provide insulation of some sort around the attic door or provide me with an attic door tent such as is sold at Home Depot. Also, that perhaps I could have the attic door tent at their cost ($500). I told him the attic door tents don't cost nearly that at Home Depot, and he then claimed that ARS is who provides the doors to Home Depot. He also mentioned how hard Monday's are and that he only wished he could go home at 5:00 on Mondays. This was the second heating/cooling system I've bought from ARS, including new air ducts in the past. It was discovered during the course of this new system installation that several of the ducts and vents installed with the first ARS air conditioning work were poorly installed and that's why I'm getting the black mildew on and around several of the ceiling vents. The workers this time around were going to solve that problem by sealing the air vents to the sheetrock. We didn't allow that, of course, because then I'd never be able to remove those ceiling air vents for any reason without tearing away the sheetrock! I've never heard back from ARS after the phone call of June 23. I have used ARS for well over 20 years for my air conditioning and plumbing needs. I will never use them again for anything, nor can I recommend their services to anybody I know.

They are very thorough and friendly. When I asked them to re-inspect they did not charge and gave me much needed information about my system.
