The entire experience went very well. I started by scheduling an appointment time and describing the washer problem on Mr. Hilliard's website for Appliance Service of Houston. I received confirmation later that same day confirming my requested appointment time. Early on the appointment day, I received a phone call from Mr. Hilliard in which he informed me that from my problem description, he suspected what the problem was and he wanted to be sure to bring the correct part with him. However, he did not have the part in his stock and would have to stop by a distributor to pick up the part. Picking up the part would make him about 30 minutes late for the scheduled appointment. Since he called me about 2 hours before the appointment time, I did not have a problem with this. I thought this was outstanding that he put some thought into the repair. Other repair services may have just came to my home, found the problem, and said that they would have to return on another day because they did not have the part. Mr. Hilliard arrived as promised, inspected the washer, and confirmed that the part he picked up would fix the problem. After about 1.5 hours, he had the washer repaired and running again. Mr. Hilliard is very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to talk with. He is conscientious about his work and made sure the area was clean when he left. He was even nice enough to give me some hints on solving a mold problem in the washer that seem to occur even with regular cleaning. I would gladly call him for any future appliance repair and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

My dishwasher had not been properly installed by Conn's and despite contacting them numerous times to have the installation repaired, they would not come out to fix it. I called Appliance Service of Houston and the service from the moment I called and spoke to the owner was excellent. I reached a recording when I first called but received a response within an hour or so. He directed me to the website to request an appointment and when I did, by that evening I received an email with appointment options. I chose one and a confirmation was sent pretty quickly. He was very punctual, repaired the installation with expertise and the whole experience exceeded my expectation! I will definitely contact them again for any future repairs.

A fuse was replaced in my dryer and he was able to quickly diagnose why my washer was making a noise at no charge. He was timely and very professional. I was having a hard time deciding who to call and feel like I found a great company. I would definitely recommend.

Appliance Service of Houston makes contact prior to arrival for service call and arrives on time. Serviceman is professional and honestly evaluated the problem and provides advice relating to decision to repair the appliance or replace it. This is our second time to use this company and have found the service to be excellent both times. I would not hesitate to use Appliance Service of Houston again and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding experience. Tolan was precisely on time. He let me know his minimum charge before starting so there were no surprises. He completed the repair within the estimated time, and provided a warranty. Tolan is personable and professional. He is not the least expensive, but quality isn't free. I would absolutely call on him again and offer my recommendation.

Tolan fixed the frig on Day 1 (a Thurs.), but didn't have the part on hand to fix the dryer, so he gave me his next available appointment. This was five days later due to the weekend and Memorial Day holiday. An inconvenience, sure, but nothing more and I let him know I was alright with that. Nonetheless, I got a call the very next day: A little extra time had come free. Was I available so he could come by to complete the job? He didn't need to do that, but this is the kind of professional he is. He's also a pleasure to be around. I have no hesitation in recommending him to others. Thank you, Tolan!

- Easily booked the appointment and received an email confirmation - Technician arrived on time and prepared - Technician quickly went to work, assessed problem and identified the part(s) required - Technician prepared a detailed estimate to complete all work required including parts expense while completely explaining everything - Technician returned the next business day to satisfactorily complete the repair - The service provided was excellent: the technician was polite, courteous and thorough; he kept everything neat, tidy and clean; he left the appliance cleaner than when he began, as he cleaned all the parts and exposed surfaces that he encountered as he did the repair. Most importantly, he just didn't install the parts, but tested all the repairs that were done to ensure that everything worked before he left. --- Would highly recommend this service provider

Service tech (Tolen) was on time courteous, professional and very thorough. Very pleased with his work and knowledge of the problem. Would call the same company again.

Tolen arrived about 30 minutes late, but had the courtesy to call and let me know he would be late. He very quickly went to work and diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator. We discussed, at length, repair vs. replacement costs in a very objective manner. Tolen was very professional and gave me advice as if he were spending his own money. I would definitely use Appliance Service of Houston again.

Tolen was extremely friendly & informative on the issues with our machine & reasons for issues. He very quickly diagnosed problem as internal bearing issues & highly recommended that we not try to have the machine repaired. He said the cost of the parts & labor would be so much that it made more sense to go purchase a new machine. He was also very helpful in discussing what to look for in new machines & what to stay clear of on new machines -- as the issues with some new machines lend themselves to early failure of washers. I was very appreciative of his suggestions on good/bad machines & suggestions on how to make sure a washer is not 'over-worked' by putting too much or too heavy of items into the washer. Although, he did not actually do any repairs, I was very happy that we contacted him to look at our washer issues.

Toben approached the problem very systematically, replacing the least expensive part first & it worked.

Contacted Appliance Service of Houston by phone on 2/12/2016. Call was answered by owner/operator Tolen Hilliard. Tolen promptly scheduled service call for Monday, 2/15/2016, and provided specific instructions to also fill out thorough online form describing issue including appliance type, model number, and serial number. Tolen arrived on Monday, 2/15/2016 pleasantly ahead of schedule. He came prepared with parts to fix at least two commonly seen issues with Whirlpool water dispensers, though the issue turned out to be something different than he was prepared for. Frankly, the issue was not something I would have expected to find either. He was able to quickly find the required part in the Houston area to fix the issue, a broken water dispenser bracket for mounting the water and ice switches behind the dispenser panel. He scheduled to fix the issue upon acquiring the part the following day, 2/16/2016. His original quote for the cost of the part was $5 and change, plus standard labor and tax. After picking up the part at the warehouse, the cost of the part turned out to be closer to $20, but he informed us ahead of time that the vendor had misquoted him to cost of the part. He did the right thing by eating the cost difference and staying true to charging us what he originally quoted. He promptly arrived to replace the broken part as scheduled on 2/16/2016 and was out in under 30 minutes. I highly recommend Tolen Hilliard and Appliance Service of Houston for prompt, knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and cost effective appliance service.

Toler Hilliard is the only person to call for appliance repair. I emailed the company. I received a quick response. He came out on Jan 21. Diagnosed the problem. He had the part ordered and installed 5 days later.

On time, courteous, knowledgeable, direct, to the point, and honest. Recommended to not repair, buy buy a new machine, although it cost him not doing a repair.
