The service person arrived 5 minutes early. He was courteous and friendly. He was able to quickly assess the situation and provide brackets to properly secure the cooktop. The work was completed quickly and very professionally. I would choose this company again when we have a need. I was very pleased with the entire experience.

Tolen did an excellent job. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and talented. He explained what he was doing as he was working which made the experience enjoyable. He kept the work area clean and was very careful not to damage anything. The senior and first time customer discounts are very generous.

Tolen was excellent. He took our dryer completely apart and was able to diagnose and repair the problem (a malfunctioning igniter). However, that night the issue came back. There was a slight issue with the replacement igniter so he came back as soon as we were available and was able to fix it a second time, free of charge. I tried calling in the morning on 6/30 to schedule a service appointment for someone to come out and take a look at my washing machine. It rang for awhile and then I got a message telling me to schedule an appointment online, and the company would confirm the appointment in 24 hours. That night, I received an email stating that they were booked up all this week and to schedule an appointment online for next week, giving an exact time, and the company would again confirm the appointment. I did that as soon as I saw the email that night, and I have yet to hear back from the company to confirm my appointment. I understand that an appliance company must be very busy, but I allowed 24 hours for the confirmation, and still haven't received it. In the meantime, I had a broken washing machine and dirty laundry. I have since called another company that worked me in, and have already come out and fixed my washer. Like I mentioned, I do understand that not every company can work someone in, since companies are very busy... I get that. But I would have liked to be able to contact a real person by phone about an appointment, instead of wondering whether or not I have an appointment.

He was friendly honest and didn't charge me for random fees.

The guy, i think the owner, came. Nice, professional, engaging, but took care of business. Took care of it and left. No fuss, no muss!

The technician was Tolen Hilliard who was very professional and knowledgeable in all regards. He explained the steps which he was taking to analyze the problem. He took every precaution to maintain safety and to avoid damage to the range or the kitchen surroundings. After analysis he followed up with the recommendation for the necessary work and cost of repair.

I talked to Lowes and was given the name of a company that proved to be worthless. I looked on Angie's list and decided to call Appliance Service of Houston. Mr. Hillard came out in 2 days, unclogged the drain and ice accumulation, removed a rubber part that was causing the problem (apparently a problem with Whirlpool), used a hair dryer to melt a chunk of ice on another part of the freezer and put it all back together. The price seemed a bit high, but for what he did and knowing the problem is solved, it was worth it.

He was extremely prompt. On time, in fact early. Walked me thru everything he did. I was extremely satisfied.

Serviceman did not ask details of issue. Made blanket determination of what he felt was wrong. Never even tested equipment prior to taking it apart. Will not call company again.

Technician arrived at agreed upon time. Tested machine to diagnose problem. Quoted firm price for parts and labor. Ordered part with small deposit. Returned on time and completed repair. This gentleman is polite and knew his business. I would and have recommended ASH to my friends with great confidence!

Diagnosed GE oven as having bad temperature switch & replaced it. Saved us from needing a new oven (which would have prompted a kitchen appliance overhaul). Very professional & prompt. You can trust and use with confidence!

We had a problem with our washing machine, AGAIN. So we called them on Angie's list recommendation. He was prompt and called ahead, which was greatly appreciated. He found that our top loader had a large gash in the tub, that was in the very bottom. He had suggestions for how to patch it up, but was very honest about the likelihood of this becoming a bigger problem because of the location of the gash. He also found rust in key places and we knew it was time for us to knuckle down and replace this ancient unit. He gave us good advice on what to look for in our pursuit. We would definitely use his services again.

It went great. He showed up on time and was very professional. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired within no time.

It went great. The news wasn't good but the service was great. The repair guy said that our appliances were outdated, they no longer carried parts for them or that it wasn't worth the cost of having the repairs done. I don't remember if he charged me or not for the service call. It would have been reasonable to ask for one but I don't think he did. He was very nice and informative. He helped me in deciding to replace instead of try to repair. I would call them again for service.

Tolon was running late, but called me at the agreed upon time to explain, and was there when he saig he would be. Very professional, and presonable. Took 2 hours to repair, and gave me all my options. Even gave me some "insider" tips on the service records of some brands. I would not hesitate to call him again.

They were delays, not of the providers doing, which due to the nature of the appliance we made the decision to replace rather than repair the appliance. The provider was courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. We would use him again if repairs to a large appliance were needed.
