Appliance Genius

Setting up the appointment was easy enough. The service technician showed up right on time (which is wonderful) but he had 2 trainees with him. It was pouring down rain so that meant I had 3 people with wet boots and clothing enter my home. The drum on my high efficiency washing machine was very loose and that caused constant unbalanced alarms during the wash and rinse cycle. I am an engineer and I had already researched the issue so I had a good idea what the repair would entail. The corner shocks/springs would need to be replaced. The technician correctly diagnosed that part of the problem but then said that the bearings would also need to be replaced. The total cost of the repair was quoted at $700. I could buy a new washer for that so I turned down the repair. In addition, most shops credit the service visit amount to the repair and there was no mention of that. To make a long story short, I ordered the repair kit for the shocks ($70) online and I replaced them myself in 15 minutes. That was 2 months ago and the washer has been working fine since - just as well as when it was new.

It turned out fine. They could make it cheaper. They were just average.

It was okay. I think it was a little expensive for services that was a very small troubleshooting.

My husband called this company and another and did not get answers on the first day from either place. On the second call, he was able to find out that the service call would be $85 and that the other company was a little higher, so we went with this company for price value. He called back and set up an appointment for Monday afternoon as he works nights, and was told the technician would be here before 4pm. On Monday morning, he was called before 9am and told the tech would be here between 9-11am. The tech arrived in that time frame, took one look at the dryer and told us the belt was off, and checked his truck to see if he had a belt. He did, and replaced the belt and was out of here before 11am. Husband was happy, price was below what our limit would have been for just replacing the dryer with a new one, and technician was professional.

The repair was fine. However the washing machine cover was not put back on correctly.

We were completely satisfied. The wait for an appointment was reasonable and the service was punctual. The thoroughness and care were great - the repairman even had a quick look at another issue in the house to give advice, even though it was not something they themselves repair. The work was done cleanly and the repairman was cordial and polite. In the past I had used a different (much bigger) repair company for Thermador appliances but I will definitely use Appliance Genius instead in the future.

Jeremy arrived on time and quickly went to work. Within a short period of time he diagnosed and repaired the problems that the previous repair company was responsible for. Now our refrigerator is working smoothly and what a help he has been.

The work they did was an additional charge to what I was originally expecting. The refrigerator worked for awhile, but then when it stopped they said it would cost more.

Responsive, professional, courteous. Service paid through Angie's List deal. We would use them again.

We had a good experience. The cost wasn’t cheap but it was probably fair. They weren’t on the higher end or prices. We enjoyed their services.

Nice people at every stage but too quick to get me to sign for expensive repairs. Came to the house right on time and diagnosed the issue with the ice maker/refrigerator. Told me they could get it fixed I just had to sign here (on the tech's cell phone.) I said, "how much?" before I sign. Tech told me I had to call the office to get that information. 2 phone calls later the total was $675. No thanks. I paid $85 for the service call and moved on.

He was very thorough. He actually ran diagnostics and really tried to find out what was going wrong with our dishwasher. He was really good.

Technician showed us what the problem was and why it was the problem. Though he didn't have the replacement ice maker in stock he was able to plug in a similar model ice maker to show us the problem was not in the wiring or else where in the fridge but was in fact the ice maker itself that was dead. He plugged in the new ice maker and powered on and then plugged in the old one again and it would not power on. Took a week to get the new ice maker and come out to install. We're happy with their service.

The person performing the service was nice enough and professional. It would have helped to get more information on the time it would take to get parts, when they could be installed and cost at the time of the service. Instead the individual left and I received a call for the price of the parts. The price of the parts for once appliance was equivalent with the purchase of a new appliance. On the second appliance, the cost was equivalent to rebuilding the entire mechanism rather than replacing the malfunctioning part. In the end, I went with someone else. They were able to replace the parts and perform the service for less than one-third of the price quoted by Appliance Genius. This may have been a fluke on the part of Appliance Genius as they seem to be highly rated, but I will not call on them in the future.

The response to my call was same day and the technician who arrived on time was very professional and knowledgeable for my washer. He had ost of the parts on the truck so that was a good thing. He had to locate a new motor, which the Company found the very next day. The technician arrived on time to replace the motor. It took approximately 30 minutes and my machine is working perfectly. The Company was very responsive and attentive. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again if I have any other appliance problems.

It went really well, he gave us a couple options on how he could fix it and allowed us to choose what was best for us. I would definitely use them again

.From the time Rose answered the phone tell Jay show up to work on my refrigerator I know they were a good company. They had to order me a new Ice maker for the refrigerator. They called me just before they showed up like I ask for me to put my pets up. The ice maker was replaced. I had to call Rose back & tell her it was not working right. Rose said she would call Jay & send him out. When ended up having to replace the unit..

The technician was on time & professional & the office staff were nice to deal with & kept ma informed on status of part order & repair appt status.

Appliance Genius came out to install my new ice maker, dishwasher, and range. My kitchen was newly remodeled and cabinets, tile and countertops had just been installed and the guys at Appliance Genius were extremely careful. They protected my floors and I was extremely happy with their work. They ran my appliances after the install to make sure everything was working.. They wore company uniforms and were so courteous. I would definitely be calling them back.
