Appliance Genius

Homeowners beware. The warranty company called Appliance Genius to service our oven. Unfortunately Appliance Genius not only damaged our appliance during a repair attempt due to using incorrect tools, but they then had the audacity to blame us for the damage they caused while pulling the oven out. This is outrageous! I strongly advise against using this company due to their unprofessionalism and dishonest practices.

We’ve been lucky enough to get Nathan each time we’ve reached out to Appliance Genius. He’s fixed our issues quickly and efficiently. He’s also very professional and communicates well.

Nate was great! On time, efficient, found the issue immediately and fixed it! I would highly recommend.

Another company quoted me $1600 to replace a component after spending 10 minutes to "diagnose" the problem. I called Appliance Genius for a second opinion. They came the same day I contacted them. They spent an hour evaluating numerous aspects of the oven, diagnosed and corrected the issue, explained what they found in clear terms, and saved me $1600. Thank you!

Henry was very knowledgeable about our Dacor beverage cooler. He took his time to ensure that things were done correctly. He showed up on time and was extremely professional and diligent. Appliance Genius is very lucky to have him! I will always request Henry when dealing with Appliance Genius.

We had an AWESOME experience with Appliance Genius and especially with our technician, Nate. Nate did an awesome job diagnosing and triaging the problem, but also explaining to us what the error code meant and walking us through each of his steps. He also helped up with education and checking in on our other Bertazonni appliances while he was here. Extremely satisfied with our experience and will not hesitate to call Nate for any future appliance repair needs. Thank you, Nate!!

Nate Wallace has worked on several of our Dacor appliances over the last couple of years and always does a great job. He has fixed hinges on our Dacor oven (twice), replaced a compressor on our refrigera and on this trip installed a replacement microwave. Nate came out and diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the replacement appliance, arrived on time as stated for the replacement install and got the microwave unboxed and installed in 30 minutes...and cleaned up after the install and hauled away the old appliance and packaging materials. We are very happy with Nate’s work and service and recommend him and Appliance Genius.

Nate Wallace did a fantastic job of identifying the problem with our refrigerator and fixing it quickly. He has done other warranty work for us and is always so helpful and spot on in his diagnostics.

Alfredo came out to repair the seal on my freezer, and did a good job- he was very punctual, and efficient. However, after he left my freezer drawers were stuck- they were operating fine before he arrived, but now I cannot pull them out at all. When I called to ask him to fix the issue, he told me it wasn’t his fault and if I wanted him to come look I would have to pay another service call fee. He also refused to acknowledge that the drawers were working fine and were now locked. You can’t even open my freezer door without noticing that one side moves and the other is stuck. I will never use them again- I paid almost $500 for a new seal and now have a new problem to deal with that they will not accept responsibility for. Terrible customer service- no accountability whatsoever.

Awesome service from start to finish. Abby? Was fantastic! Scheduling was easy and they folliwed up as promised. Technician Nathan was great! Very knowledgeable and so pleasant. Also very neat! Great job!!

Alfredo discovered that a fuse had been blown. He replaced the fuse and then extensively/thoroughly tested the oven to ensure that there was no other underlying cause for the fuse being blown. Since we had had several power outages over the last few weeks, it was assumed that a power surge could have caused the blown fuse. Alfredo arrived promptly during the arranged time, conducted himself in a very courteous and professional manner, cleaned up the work area thoroughly after his work, and complied with all of the existing COVID guidelines. He was truly a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful! We haven't used our dishwasher much in the 12 years we have owned the house and I was concerned hoses or gaskets had dried out from non-use.. I wanted someone here when we ran it to help pinpoint a leak, if it occurred. Turns out all seals, arms, gaskets, baskets etc are still in great working order and we have no need to purchase a new dishwasher! Alfredo was helpful, personable, polite, professional, knowledgeable and willing to take the time to make sure nothing leaked or sounded off with the motor. Great job! Will use again.

Technician came out for $95 service call. He immediately said I know the problem "you need the interior door or it won't work". I asked if he could check and make sure thats the problem. They sent a quote for a whole door which was very expensive. I called and said it's only the interior door which I saw for $39 online. So this was the first sign I was being scammed. They adjusted the quote to $89 for the part and another $180 for installation. I was hesitant but said ok since I knew they wouldnt be responsible if I got my own door. They came out and installed the interior door and it still didn't work. They made my husband pay the installation anyway. Now they've sent another estimate for $939 and the oven isn't new. This feels very scam-like. We should have been refunded for the part and labor since that's what they said was wrong and it wasn't. I wouldn't use this company again. If they had done an entire checkup for the $95 service fee and told me there were other problems, I would never have proceeded. I called to complain with no response!

Two technicians made the service call. While I was talking to one of them about the problem I was having with my dishwasher, the other tech began putting his company stickers on all of my kitchen appliances without asking. I requested that he stop; after they left, I ended up removing all stickers. The techs listened to the noise the dishwasher was making, and told me that the motor was out and that I would need to have it repaired or the dishwasher replaced. They could not give me a quote for either the repair or a replacement, and told me someone from their company would give me a call the next business day with a quote. I never heard from them again, and have since purchased a new dishwasher from Best Buy. The technician who installed it was very knowledgeable , professional, and courteous. I would not recommend Appliance Genius. I chose them initially because of the high rating they received on Angie's List. Very disappointed!

Gregg did a great job. He initially came in April and attempted to repair my existing dishwasher. Because of the age of the dishwasher we decided to have a new one installed. I received a quote from Appliance Genius. I did take the time to review online the dishwasher that Gregg would be installing. I also comparative shopped at the big box stores. I learned at the big box stores that the floor model price is not the final price. Added to the dishwasher price is delivery, hose kit, etc. After the research I felt the price that I was quoted by Appliance Genius was fair. I felt that Gregg was very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable ordering the dishwasher from Appliance Genius and having Gregg install it today. No more hand-washing dishes, can't wait to use it. I'm comfortable too knowing that I now have a company to call on should I have problems with other major appliances in my home. Thanks Gregg. Linda M.

Quick response, courteous, and professional as always. Jay repaired my Sub Zero refrigerator in less than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend Appliance Genius. It's fortunate for me that they service all the appliance brands I have.
