The starter capacitor on the motor went out and AirCon came out and replaced it (it was the oringinal capcitor on a 33 year old unit). The service technician told us that the start up current for the motor was high indicating that the motor might fail in the near future ( this too was the original motor). About a month after the capacitor went out the motor actually failed. We discuss our options and the associated costs with the service tech. Since the entire system was 33 years old and was running on borrowed time, we decided to replace the entire heating and AC system. The following is a history of our experiences with AirCon over three decades and includes a summary of the repairs done in November. .We have been using AirCon for over 30 yrs. The good news is that over the three decades, we didn?t have to use them often. But when we did they were always prompt, courteous, fairly priced and did quality work. This fall our 33 year old AC and heating unit finally had to be replaced. Naturally we called Aircon to get a price quote. Their serviceman came out and provided us with information on several units that they offered. They also provided Consumer Reports data on the units available. We validated the Consumer Reports data was the latest. The serviceman also described all of the special discounts/rebates being provided by the manufacturers and by Aircon. The new unit was installed over a weekend at no additional cost. After the installation was complete the service manager came out to inspect the installation. He found a couple of items with the ducting that he wanted done differently and sent the install crew back to make the changes. The crew laid down drop cloths in the halls and stairs, cleaned up the attic and around the outside unit. The job was done on the schedule that we had agreed to and for the cost quoted. We will continue to use AirCon and recommend them to others.

Service representative was very professional repairing the problem quickly. He offered their annual service plan but was not pushy about it. I chose to purchase the annual service. I also scheduled an additional service to install a UV light in my AC system hoping to provide cleaner air for my family. I bought the UV light due mostly to the discounted coupon on Angie's List.

Had a fan motor go out, called Sunday night and within 2 hours the house was cool again. Two months later I used them to inspect units on a new home. They identified a problem and fixed it quickly. Excellent people to deal with at the office and the technician was superb. Definitely will use them again.

AirCon came through for us once again! On November 15, 2011, AirCon Tech "Ricky" performed our semi-annual furnace check and determined our 17 year Lennox unit was not operating properly, beyond repair and possibly leaking carbon monoxide. He and his company supervisor quickly provided a competitive price to replace the unit (with Ruud equipment) and scheduled the work for the following day. AirCon performed the service and kept it's commitment to price, quality and schedule! As a repeat customer who had AirCon completely replace our large A/C system ($5,738) March 2011, I continue to be quite pleased with this company's Customer Service. From the person who first answers the phone (Denise) to the Tech who diagnosed the problem (Ricky) and Tech's who replaced the bad unit (Will & Mike), this company provides excellent Customer Service. (I would also be remiss if I didn't mention Melissa, who calls you the following day to make sure all systems are working properly). Needless to say, I will continue to recommend this company to friends, family and neighbors! You simply cannot go wrong with AirCon!

I advice people to get more than one estimate when using this company. I have since had another company come out and solve the problem without tearing up the house or buying a new air conditioner.

We have just bought a house and AirCon came out to service the AC/heating. He looked at the inspection report and told us how to correct what was wrong, what was necessary, and what wasn't. He gave us a good idea about the life of the AC unit and that we could sign up for a yearly plan- but was honest and told us not to sign up until just before we needed the next servicing in the spring. He did say that if we signed up - (11$ a month) that they vetted all their service people - I didn't quite understand that - do they sub-contract out that work? I'd have to read the contract first. He was on time - very professional and took his time explaining everything.

They arrived promptly and completed the work in the estimated time. They cleaned up and left the area spotless. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Everythin was awesome. They were just great. They were on time and professional. They even had a manager out here for one of the more major parts of the job. I would certainly use them again!

Service went very well and technician explained everything in full and answered questions we had. Very professional and company called prior to arrival to let us know technician was on the way.

The Serviceman was experienced with detailed knowledge of equipment configuration and build qualitiy. He communicated clearly and concisely. He spent a long time and gathered detailed information on everything. He was neatly dressed and wrote a clear report. Not only did the report give us exactly what we needed for the immediate purchase, but also gave us information on what to expect 2-3 years down the road. The money was very well spent. Our realtor was so impressed by the service that she called them out for work on her own large home two days later.

Overall, the company and Leon responded well. The moral of this story is don't think that ANY home warranty company is going to help you, no matter what the situation is.

Technician arrived on a very hot day. On of my two A/C units had stopped working. I was afraid would be told would have to have entire unit replaced but called AirCon because of the good reviews on Angie's List. The technician told me it was only my capacitor and repaired the unit in about five minutes. I was very happy with the cost of repair. Thank you Leon for a job well done!

The AirCon tech told my husband exactly what he was doing and even answered some related questions for him, too. He was excellent.

I purchased the-big deals" called to make the appointment . I received a following call immediately, great social skills by everyone involved , I was even reminded that I have one more coupon to use as time passed and I did not schedule the last coupon ( honesty!!!) the performance by the technician was impeccable.

I came home about 5 pm on Friday to find the air conditioner not working. I called AirCon after reading reviews of customer experience on Angies list. I called Aircon Saturday morning to get in line for service. Leon responded quickly that morning and let me know there was one person ahead of me on the service list. He also let me know what time I could expect him to arrive. Leon arrived about noon. He diagnosed and corrected the problem in a short time. The capacitor for the condensing unit fan was bad order and had to be replaced. He also brought the freon charge up to specs. The unit cooled the house down in only a few hours. I am very impressed with AirCon response to service request, the knowledge of the service technician and the tools used to correctly charge freon to the proper level. The cost of repair was reasonable in view of the weekend call out. AirCon is my number 1 choice for air conditioning service.

Called them on a Saturday and they were able to send out a technician the same day. Quick repair, courteous technician, fair price. Would definitely use them again.

Overall a good experience at a decent price.

My central A/C had lost most of its Freon charge. The serviceman (Leon) traced the leak to an unrepairable leak in the evaporator coil. It needed to be replaced because the original builder had used a cheaply constructed coil that was not installed properly and was also mismatched to the condensing unit. I scheduled AirCon to replace the condensing unit along with the evaporator coil the next day. The 2-man crew arrived on time the next day and finished pretty much within the time they originally estimated. I am a retired engineer who has had experience with A/C refrigeration systems, and I can say that the equipment they installed was high quality and they did not cut corners on the installation. They paid attention to the details, and they were respectful to the property. Although it wasn’t necessarily the lowest possible cost I am confident that I got excellent value for the money spent. AirCon did not charge me for the initial service call or the freon used to temporarily recharge the old system. I would definitely hire them again if needed, but I really don’t expect that will be necessary for many years (probably decades) to come.

Air Con was incredibly professional and worked in a timely manner. Ricky, the tech, worked in near silence and darkness to accommodate my sleeping children and went out of his way not to make any noise, which was greatly appreciated. I would use Air Con again and refer them to friends!

The reason why I chose this company was because of their top rating on Angie's List. When I first called them, I spoke with their marketing person, Melissa, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Her personality was very pleasant. I told her the issue and within three hours, a technician arrived, and once the work was completed, he gave us the bill. A few hours later, the a/c stopped working. I called them to let them know of this, and Melissa transferred me to a manager. Clayton Phillips, the operations manager, personally showed up to take care of the problem. I wasn't calling to complain or anything like that, but he really went above and beyond my expectations. They truly strive for happy customers. I've never dealt with a company like this before. The a/c unit not only runs better, but now I'm saving around 40-50% on my energy bill, thanks to this company. Clayton also provided us with advice on how to save even more money on our energy costs. I'm happy with their services and would highly recommend this company to others.

Air Con called to confirm the appointment, and their techs showed up at the very beginning of the time frame of our appointment. Installation went well, and they cleaned up the bits and pieces of trash that fell down from the attic. The product appears to be working great. Air Con was fast, very well priced, clean, and even called back to follow up and see how the appointment went and if I had any problems. I would definitely use them again.
