I decided to give them an A based on the incredible service and price received. The sales manager that came was rude and not very helpful, but the office staff and the technician that comes to my home each time are amazing and the price for pest control is very affordable.

Firs year was fine, but I did not know any better. Second year, they did a sloppy job putting up the lights, and had the nerve to charge me for that sloppy job. Now I know how incredibly ver priced these people are. Furthermore, these people keep sending bills when I already have a cancelled check in my hand. Their justification is that theirs is a custom design. Outlining flower beds is custom? Really? I now know there are other companies that do a better, more extensive job for a lower price. I also suspect the office people at these other companies can actually read. I told them a month ago that I did not want them back at my home under any circumstances. They called yesterday to take down the lights. I took them down myself or of disgust weeks ago.

Badly. I was charged $414 dollars for very little work, work that they did not even finish. It's their design. I would think the wreath sitting there would have been obvious.
Description of Work: Reinstall the Christmas lights I purchased from them last year which they put up last year. All they had to do this year was put up lights. This is a small house, so there were only yard lights. No roof work at all.

It was a no show for ABC. The customer must call. At 5:30 an office manager called......what can we do..I said come today and repair...So he said they would put me on schedule for next week. What they can do is make their customers happy customers..I am not happy.

We contracted with them for three homes both for pest and lawn care. This experience has been a complete disaster. While the crew supervisors do try, we have been billed fir services not ordered. There crew supervisors and members have been jumping ship, leaving poor service and hollow apologies for dead plants, poisoned lawns, and butchered shrubs in their wake. We have been urged by ABC Houston to not write a bad review. We have reached out the senior management who doesnt return calls. Accounting just sends robo calls and doeant return calls. Supervisor who promised credits quit. This is a classic company growing faster than it can effectively manage. Happy to provide pictursles of the butchery.

A bird got stuck up in the exhaust vent in our garage. Called between 1:30 and 2 p.m. and got a recording, then was switched to voice mail to leave a message so hung up. Called again around 2 p.m. and got a hold of a person. She said that she would give message to an inspector and someone would call back within the hour. Did not receive a call so called back again around 3:30. Was told that inspector was in the field and they would give message to another inspector who would call "shortly". Finally received a call at 4:30 from someone named Abel. He said "so I hear you're being attacked by birds?" I told him problem and that the bird had been stuck in the exhaust vent and had been spinning around up there for hours and it was possible that it had died by now. He said even if he had someone who could come out, which he didn't, it probably wouldn't be worth the money and effort. He said asked if there might be any teenage boys in the neighborhood who could get it out. My husband was out of town, our neighbors that we know were out of town, and if I knew of someone else who could help I wouldn't have called ABC! I was not impressed at all and will never bother to call them again.

I purchased a one-year contract for $385 for pest control services through Angie's List. However, shortly after the first visit, I received an invoice from ABC for $416.76. Apparently, they did not have a record that the service had been purchased through Angie's List. I have written to the company and have had numerous phone conversations with them, but as of 04/30/15, they still have not corrected my account. I also emailed Angie's List about this problem on 03/16/15, asking them to please verify that they sent the payment to ABC. Unfortunately, Angie's List never replied to me either, and apparently they must not have contacted ABC because I am still getting bills from them! Overall, I have had a very negative experience from both ABC and Angie's List.

I have been ongoing with them for about a year. My overall experience with them has been excellent.
Description of Work: I used ABC Pest Control. We live in South Texas which has a big problem with roaches, spiders and insects. I don’t have any in my house. I did have rodent removal. I had raccoons in my attic that they did an exclusion on, and got rid of the problem.

We have been pleased with the effectiveness of the service. We have been even more pleased with our technician, Ricky, who is extremely courteous. I have not been well and he has been very considerate in communicating with me without taking too much time to do so and accommodating when the scheduled service date did not work for me. ABC always emails reminders of upcoming service dates. On occasions when I have had to speak with the office staff they have been very polite and helpful.

Eduardo was our technician. He called before coming and gave us an estimated arrival time. He was very courteous and professional. He reset the traps, added a few new ones and did a thorough inspection of the attic, the exterior walls and the roof. He found and resealed a fresh entry point under some shingles. He suggested and scheduled a revisit to look at the traps and any new issues. ABC has a great employee.
Description of Work: We have a rodent prevention and removal annual plan with baited traps in the attic. We had a dead rat and requested resetting traps and inspecting/sealing entry points.

Larry came at the time stated, explained what he was going to do today, and did it. Although this is the first time I've left a comment, Larry comes by periodically and each time all goes well. The first time by he pointed out a potential problem area regarding a sewer manhole in my driveway that I never thought about. He took care of it which I felt was beyond expectations. He keeps my house bug free. Great guy too.

This outfit is a money mill incapable of flexibility and good communication bldue in part to their fully automated billing and scheduling software. They promkse not to schedule visits without confirming customer availability and then do the opposite. When you call they apologise and blame their autoscheduling. When you complain about bills for services you didnt schedule they still hound you for payment. Even drivers/techs complain that communication is bad internally. Many better choices...go there.

In my Top 3 worst service experiences ever. Needless to say I don't want to waste too much time on them but feel like I need to warn other Angie's List subscribers. I asked for an estimate of my smallish lawn and flower bed weeding over the phone to which they gave me several options and prices depending on how much work I wanted or what I needed done. Amount was reasonable and I see all their commercials and info everywhere so they must be professional and reputable right? B/c of my work schedule, I had to plan a time for someone to be home for a Thur afternoon, about 3-4 days from when I called originally. I specifically asked about payment to which he said the person would discuss again when they came out and I could pay from the form he'd be sending through email. Fri rolls around and no form or any other info. Get a call informing they would be there within the 30 mins-great someone is already home, no problem. While still on the phone I ask about payment and if that would be an issue to which the response was no, we can figure that out at the time of service. Get home and doesn't look like anyone has come so we wait, and wait, and wait. Dark outside and 8PM so I call and leave a message asking what has happened. I leave the next morning and see a note stuck to the door that they could not do the lawn b/c of the non-payment. No phone call, no knock on door(someone was home), and still no form or appropriate amount to pay off of. The rest is of the story is similar. They still don't give me a correct quote, they still don't come out when they say they will on Fri(I had to take time off of work), instead they do a half job on Saturday after I complain and had to speak to the Supervisor that said "it shouldn't be this hard". And yet they still didn't call me to say what time Saturday, still didn't give me any kind of quote or estimate, and still didn't send me the payment form. The ONLY saving grace of the entire company are their phone reps who were extremely nice and understanding and their actual work crews that did a great job and had to rush off of another job to come to our house. In the end, I said that if they wanted me to pay anything, they can call and talk to me to give me a quote for the work done. Instead, I never got a call, just an extremely overstated bill statement in the mail that was twice the amount mentioned before to which I called and the phone rep again did her job and took care of it. I even sent a note to the owner as suggested while I was on hold so many times-no response from that either. One of the most poorly handled and worst run operations I have come across in a very long time. For regular residential yardwork, I would stay away.

Called ABC after finding what appeared to be a small termite mound in our back yard. The customer service agent was very friendly on the phone and scheduled a free inspection for the next morning. Shae, the inpsector, arrived on time. He explained the inspection process he would perform and got to work. Thankfully, Shae only found one small active termite mound, so we hopefully caught them very early. After the inspection, Shae put together a quote for treating the existing termite mound as well as continuous monitoring and prevention. The quote also included quote options for several other services ABC provides (pest control, lawn maitenance, AC maintenance, etc.) for our information. We were able to schedule treatment for that Friday morrning as well as took advantage of the pest control option as we have been having serious issues with wasps around our house. Friday morning, Greg came to the house to perform the treatment. He was on time and also very thurough in explaining what he would be doing. Treatment in the outside and inside of the house for termites and other pests only took 2 hours. Overall I was very happy with the services provided by both Shae and Greg. I look forward to having ABC continue the termite monitoring of my house and know we are in good hands.
Description of Work: Perfomred extermination of existing termite mound and placed termite stakes around perimeter of house. Also performed general pest conrol for wasps, ants, spiders, etc.

Description of Work: We recently signed up with ABC for the rodent and pest control and the heating and A/C. We've been very happy with the rodent and pest control service. They have been very attentive and, we think, they have covered up all the holes that rodents can get into our attic which was a big problem. Our A/C was serviced for the first time on August 14 by Nick and everything checked out. We were not having any problems. We just wanted everything checked because they are old units. Overnight, a contact switch in the outside condenser unit failed and no air conditioning. When we couldn't fix it ourselves, we called our sales guy, Jerry, at 1:30 pm who called the office and they called Nick. He called us at 2:45 and could come about 6:00 (after hours). Jerry followed up with a call to make sure Nick had been in touch. Nick came and found the problem in about 10 minutes and we had cool air in about 20 minutes. We are very pleased because Nick went the extra mile for us and we appreciate Jerry's follow up to make it happen.

Started using ABC in May 2008 and have been satisfied with their service. I have Signature Lawn Maintenance, Signature Lawn Care, and Shrub Care Program. For the first time in 6 years I was home today and met Byran and Garret (Signature Lawn Maintenance Providers). They took time to discuss what I wanted in a provider and asked for feedback on their current service. I've told them they were doing an excellent job and to keep it up. My two biggest concerns is the cost and Accounting system. The total cost for the three service per month is $200+ per month and it goes up each year. Our lawn is small (~1500 SF) and the price we are paying is based on their minimum size lawn of 2500 SF. Due to travel and other work related activities, I have use auto pay to pay my monthly invoice. However, on several occasions I receive a letter indicating my account is past due. This requires I contact their accounting department which researches and corrects the problem. To me, their should be checks and balances in their system to prevent auto pay customers from receiving a past due notice. However, I do like their service and will continue using them unless I can find a provider on Angie's list that offers similar services at lower rates.

ABC's actual pool service is second to none. They do a tremendous job keeping our pool crystal clear, even when we've been out of town during stormy weather while fall leaves are falling. Their call center is busy and can leave a little bit to be desired, but it's a large company with many moving pieces. The integration of the various departments is fairly seamless considering the large size of the company and what must be a busy call center. The previous owner of our home contracted their pool service with ABC. They had moved out of the country, yet the pool was kept in immaculate condition. I can't begin to describe what a relief it was to have them send a technician out to check our system when our spa suddenly emptied itself last fall and I was concerned I had done something wrong and my husband was blaming me for a glitch. Fortunately, the service technician ABC sent out quickly disassembled the unit, identified a minor issue and had it reassembled before I could offer him a bottle of water and say thank you. I appreciate immediately being able to discern by the reliable schedule, the professionally marked truck, and the uniform that the person in our yard belongs there, especially when we are constantly barraged with people ringing our door bell and one sketchy fellow had attempted to access our backyard uninvited under the auspices that he was here to service the same pool ABC had serviced the day before. Since we moved here last fall, ABC has only rescheduled once due to inclement weather. The only time I recall them rescheduling, we received a courtesy call alerting us that their technician would be entering our yard at a different time due to a heavy freeze. Even if they hadn't called, we always know when they've been in our yard because they leave a report, which tells us they've been here and alerts us to any issues. We really appreciate how cautious they are closing our gates and locking up after the service so our pets won't escape. Thank you Hayden, Donald and Darren for the professional care we've always received. Thank you Tameka in Repairs for following up on a repair issue diligently when I couldn't seem to comprehend the information being relayed until after we replaced the faulty piece of equipment and I was finally able to see how it was supposed to operate. Lesson learned, trust the ABC Pool professionals! If you're looking for dependable service, don't hesitate to give them a call. You'll be glad you did.

I I had a heat treatment to rid my home of bedbugs on 6/7. I had several companies to give me estimates. I took a chance on your company based on the info from the sales person and how he sold the treatment process. On the day of the treatment the technicians were late, due to vehicle issues. The technicians were great, very personable and accommodating to assist us in every way to make the process go as smooth as possible. My issues is with the customer service. I was never contacted on when the return inspection was to take place. After a week I called and was told the appt was on 6/28 between 8:30 and 10:30. I call back last week to follow-up to ensure they were coming on 6/28, I was told they were. It is 6/28, 10:00 no one here yet. I called your office and spoke with Robert, he told me he tried to contact the technician and it was going to voice mail. He said he would text the technician have him call me and he would keep trying to contact him and he would call me back to give me an update. At 11:15 I call your office once again, spoke with Tamara explained my concern. She said let me talk to Robert and find out if he contacted the technician. Robert advised me The technician does not work on Saturday. I am upset because why would you schedule an appt on a day that they do not work and why Robert failed to call me to let me know the guy was not coming. I am home all morning long with no communication from anyone. This is poor customer service at its worst.

Put in cages to trap the attic squirrel. Closed up the hole the squirrel used to enter and leave the attic. Checked at 48 hours and again after a week to see if the squirrel had been trapped (squirrel had left before). Provider has been coming out every 60 days for bugs (spraying). Got rid of annoying sugar ant problem in kitchen. Put screens on the outside weep holes to prevent insects from entering house. Came out last week after I saw three roaches in the yard while mowing and resprayed, no additional charge.
