ABC states they are a Christian family owned business that cares about its customers but unfortunately I have experienced the opposite especially during a spouses life and death situation. We hired ABC to eradicate pest problems at 2 homes last summer. They completed the treatment at both homes and I signed up for the monthly warranty for $50.00 a month per home where they would come out every few months to recheck for pests. We were able to schedule 1 recheck but unfortunately my husband became ill, collapsing, becoming unconscious and turning blue 2 to 3 times a week requiring me call to call 911 and my husband being in the hospital coding blue twice. When ABC contacted me to schedule the next recheck, I explained that either my husband was too ill or hospitalized and we could not schedule at that time. My husband ended up being in the hospital all of January and passed away in February. The company again called to schedule and I explained that my husband had passed away and I could not function, much less think about scheduling a recheck. They said they sympathized with my situation but were cancelling my warranty on both homes because they had not been able to come back out since the first recheck. ABC didn't care that my husband had been in and out of the hospital 2-3 times a week and had passed away. I reached out to the customer service manager to only get a reply that they sympathized with my situation but it is stated in their warranty that they can cancel if they are not able to do their rechecks. They did not care that my husband of 37 years and I had been through h*** since last summer and he had just passed away. Not to mention that I am the one that should have been upset because of their lack of empathy especially claiming to be a Christian family owned business and continuing to pay $50.00 a month per home when I couldn't have them do the recheck. I never complained and fully understood my obligation to pay the warranty even though I couldn't have them come back out yet. To make matters worse, I explained on-line when I set the appointment that I couldn't see it online and needed a copy in person when they arrived. I didn't see or sign the contract, which was not printed out but on-line until the services were complete and the heat treatment lifted the new vinyl floor at one home and I still didn't complain. This company didn't care about their customer and refused to make an exception in this painful extenuating circumstance. I am very upset with their lack of empathy and understanding."

Lies and deceptive sales practices. I had a rodent problem in my garage - (where they knew it started and was most severe ) a much smaller problem in attic. There was thousands of dollars of damage to a car kept in the garage. That’s how I realized ubhadcacpriblen. I was told if I agreed for them to do the work: to put traps, seal the small areas near the roof and eaves, AND had the bimonthly pest control. Then, they would warrant and come back no charge if I ever had a problems again. LIES!!! The salesman knew the garage was the biggest issue and NEVER, EVER said the detached garage is NOT covered under the warranty. He knew it wasn’t but DID NOT say anything bc he knew I would get more bids and prices. My big concern was to keep it from happening again and having damage. Turns out they have not even been checking the garage- I work and can’t be here at the times they come during the day. I found signs in upper loft of garage and called them. They came and the first words out of the technician’s mouth is - the garage isn’t under warranty only to the breezeway. Even he knew - his supervisor said the same thing. So all these months of bimonthly was for nothing and they can’t check attic unless I am here. I’m paying $80 for a roach spray outside that’s not even worth $15. I have left messages for a call from management after I called to complain. I sent in a complaint on their website. Yes I should have read all the fine print but I was wrong and thought I could trust this company bc they had been in Houston for a while. I think it’s bc with to many people moving here they don’t need customers to return they just keep getting the new people like me who have never used them and learn the hard way. RUN from this company if the people who come to give you estimate are moving their lips THEY ARE LYING!! End of story!! There is no real warranty -

I have been a loyal customer for several years, I have used almost every single Residential service in the last year or so (pest, rodent, mosquito, landscaping, lawn, irrigation - everything but pool services - I don't own a pool), I have spent literally thousands of dollars this year alone, and I have referred ABC to my friends for years. BUT I WILL BE CANCELLING ALL SERVICES MOVING FORWARD, and not only will not refer people, I WILL BE ACTIVELY REFERRING PEOPLE TO ABC's COMPETITORS, do to the atrocious and inexcusable customer service experience I received with the Christmas Light Installation service this year, as well as my Lawn Service. Despite being told in 2019 when I bought the lights that someone would call me in early November 2020 to schedule the install, I don't believe anyone called me, so I called on November 13th to schedule. Despite not getting my call and SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WITH ABC IN THE LAST YEAR ALONE, I was scheduled for 2 weeks later - the week of Thanksgiving. For some reason, when that week came, I was put on the Friday of the schedule. Of course, it rained Friday, and I did receive the robo-call for the re-scheduling, but NO ONE EVER CALLED WITH MY UPDATED TIME. I called on Monday 11/30 to ask and specifically asked to have this complete by Tuesday 12/1 (how far back from Friday would I be pushed!?!), BUT NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL. I called again on Tuesday 12/1, and I was told I was scheduled (without me being informed) for Thursday 12/3. WHY WAS I PUSHED BACK TO THURSDAY? I was told that because rain was expected on Wednesday 12/2, but this does not change the fact at all that I was originally scheduled on Friday 11/27 - I should have been scheduled for Monday 11/30 or the latest Tuesday 12/1 - none of this mattered because NO ONE RETURNED MY 2ND CALL!!!!..... (BTW, did I mention that I ALREADY PAID the hundreds of dollars service fee weeks ago!!!) So, I called again today, spoke to Candace, and while I understand she is addressing, I have no faith in ABC's system right now........ The other issue I explained was that I have ABC's Irrigation Guy telling me that the 4 (YES 4) sprinkler heads that are damaged were caused by lawn mowers..... Guess who does my lawn service!?! ABC Guess who never had problems before with their prior lawn service and spinkler heads? Me.......... ABC is done with me. I have no choice but to proceed with ABC for my Christmas Lights this year - I don't know what to do.... I bought the lights from them last year, and of course, the lights are already dead.... So I need them to replace some strings as a part of their service - they have handcuffs on me..... This is all especially upsetting given ABC's Owner Raleigh Jenkins disgusting PR campaigns with charities trying to promote himself as a good community citizen, while simultaneously raking his customers over the coals and providing the worst customer service experience I have encountered in a long time. It is terrible. UPDATE 12/2/2020 10:33 AM: The "solution" that was just offered to me (after apparently being consulting with ABC's Owner) was to come out tomorrow to install my lights... Nothing else. I am literally in the same position that I was in when I wrote my bad review and nothing was "made right".... Also still not raining at my house.

Not a good experience..........On Monday, I SCHEDULED INITIAL PEST CONTROL SERVICES FOR THURSDAY, 8-29-19 ( tomorrow) and gave them my VISA Card info , since they required to be PRE-PAID in advance. Shortly thereafter, I learned that another Pest Control Co. was already scheduled, so I called 832-678-4950 ( a contact number left on my Text Messages by Ethan Williams, an employee at ABC ) to Cancel the INITIAL SERVICE about FOUR (4) hours later. I never heard back from anyone,so............. Today (8-28-19), I called ABC as a ** to confirm the Cancellation, which was done, but ABC REFUSED TO CREDIT my VISA account, stating that once an appointment is scheduled, there will be NO REFUND !!!!! Even if I never get the service. I was shocked to hear that...... Such a policy amounts to taking a customer's money without providing ANYTHING OF VALUE. That seems DISHONEST.....I feel like I've been scammed.......Maybe my credit card co. will step in and prevent this conduct from unjustly enriching this service provider.

I been using the company for so many years now, even tho they increase their price so very often. Recently they have send a technician for our quarterly treatment that did not do a great job, I told him that I been seeing ants in my backyard and front yard. After 15 mins he was done, he said he only see one in the front yard. I told him I’ve seen some too in the backyard. He did not even bother to check on it and just left. So I did my inspection, he even missed a mound in my front yard and also the backyard. I even filled out their review section and comments on this. They did not bother to answer, will not use their service anymore. I pay $165 for a 15 mins job, and was not even completed!

Had an $850 commercial rodent exclusion contract which included setting 40 traps and checking them every 2-3 days for 5 times. They did nothing more than put peanut butter on wooden snap traps and then sent a tech to come out and check them. Each visit he was here for no more than 5-15 minutes depending on how many questions I had for him. (Each visit was $125). After the second visit we were not catching any more rodents and I suggested that he refresh the peanut butter since it was a week old. However the tech refused to do it and said it wasn’t necessary. Also didn’t take all the traps with them when they left. We know this because we smelled a stench and then found a dead rodent. The technician knew we were still having an issue on his last trip and said he would come back out again for free. But when I tried to schedule another visit he told me to call his supervisor and the supervisor said I needed to sign another $850 contract. During our initial consultation, the supervisor said they could help us seal points of entry he identified but after we got started I waited and waited for an estimate from them to do it and he never provided one. So basically we paid for rodent exclusion services while the rodents were still able to get inside. The work they did was basically useless. $850 down the drain. We’ve had monthly pest control service with this company for over 30 years. They obviously do not care that we have been loyal customers for more than 3 decades. They do not take any ownership of their job or any pride in the quality of work done. I’ve had problems with the company before but this recent experience was the deal breaker and I will be taking my business else where.

Last November, I called and requested that their irrigation technician come to my house because my sprinkler system appeared to be leaking down the side of my driveway between my house and my neighbor's. He was on time and responsive to my concern. He looked at the area out of which water was coming and stated that it was not from my system. I questioned that as water water was dribbling from this area. He stated again, sounding like he knew, that it was not from my system. So I asked why is there water coming out and he replied that it must be coming from another sprinkler system up the street and travelling down through the ground until this area, the lowest point. That seemed to make sense to me, so I accepted that answer. He offered to come back the next week to check it and winterize my system. He did come back to check it and stated it was still no my system, but did not winterize it which I am just figuring out now as I have a repair person at my house who discovered a crack in one of the control pipes. When this repairman went to turn on the valve to check for leaks, he found that it was never shut down as the ABC technician stated he would do. I am upset because maybe if it had been winterized, it would not have cracked costing me a lot of money now. At the same time, I had one of their landscape designers come out as I wanted to update the beds near my foundation in the front yard. He took measurements and said he would get back with me but never did. Maybe my house is too small, it certainly isn't anywhere as grand as the houses shown on their commercials, but I did expect at least a follow-up call of some sort. Both gentleman were professional in their appearance and demeanor, but the follow through just does not seem to be there with ABC's representatives, at least not in my case.

ABC brought a bed bug detection dog out and the dog did his thing. I was told this service was 99% accurate, but I felt comfortable when the dog didn't find anymore. Yay! The other companies do the expensive heat treatment even when only one bug is detected. The exterminator explained that having only one bug is very rare, but it happens.

I have a service contract with them. The work took about 20 minutes for one worker. I've been using them for about 15 years. They're pretty good. Whenever they come out it always works. I don't have any complaints.

They tell you they're coming back and the guy usually shows up on time.
Description of Work: I've got termite traps. They come out and monitor for termites. If they see I have carpenter ants, fire ants or fleas, if they see it or we notify them, they take care of it.

Initially, the first technicians sent were great. It was at the last year, we started to have ant and flea infestations. We complained and had a horrible experience. The manager instead of coming over, resent the same technician. I think he was stealing the product because when we started saying something things got better. But I was furious because our dog died due to the flea treatments he had to receive since he was too old and had underlying conditions, which the company owner and his technicians were not understanding. Long story short, the technician they continued to send started to offend us. On the last visit, he was so offensive I thought I had to call the police since he was so upset because we complained. I had to request money back for the rat problem we had and nothing was done. I had to pay another company to take care of it. Overall, I would not recommend it. They start good and as soon as they get a hook on you they do not maintain a good level of service.

Was not happy with overall service. Was given an estimate for the repairs and the actually cost came back at over $200 above the estimate. Feel like service person could have given a better estimate. Service person was an hour later than times given. Will not use again.

They do our full service well. It is routine maintenance and takes them about 20 minutes. I think it is expensive for 20 minutes of work. As for responsiveness, it's never been really that type of situation. It's more of a regular routine maintenance thing so... there are times when we called for service, it's never been immediate. The guy who does the routine service, he's here regularly so I guess it's an A.

They came out and inspected the air ducts, and said that there is no mold in my attic. The air ducts were old, and that was were all the black stuff was coming from. The air ducts needed to be replaced. They also clean, do my pest control, they do it all.

There was confusion about the prices after services were complete. Technician had to come out again. Job was supposed to take about 1.5 hours and the technician was done in about 40 minutes and did not check for ants as he was supposed to. the next day we destroyed about 4-5 huge ant mounds ourselves. we expressed our disappointment with ABC. Won't hire again.

They do a lot of services so they take care of our pool plus they do pool repairs. They provide all of the chemicals. We could probably get it cheaper but it’s consistent and getting take care of. They are all very professional.

Great. When I called, they came that day to give an estimate and were very thorough and clear on cost. They came on time to set traps and do work.

We have used ABC for our lawn fertilization for several years. They have been pretty good in the past. However, this year our lawn is a disaster. There is some sort of grass (blue grass) growing throughout the lawn and there are many areas where the lawn is bare. We called ABC about the weeds and a technician came to our home. He called us afterwards and stated the weeds were blue grass and there was nothing to do for them and that the grass would eventually grow in. We were not satisfied with this response and called the office to cancel our services. A service manager apologized for the situation and wanted to send out a supervisor to inspect the yard. We set up a date and time for the supervisor to come. The supervisor was at least 45 minutes late ( with no phone call to advise me he would be late) and did not apologize when I mentioned this to him. We went outside and he just rambled on and on about how complicated it is to have a good lawn and basically blamed our poor lawn on the guy who cuts our lawn and I believe on us the homeowners. I tried several times to tell him that we excpect a reputable lawn company such as ABC to communicate with the customer that the lawn has potential problems that should be addressed such as watering, aerating, etc. Had ABC mentioned to us that the lawn needed extra attention we certainly would have gotten it done ( and maybe through ABC). But no, never was there a mention of any problems from our technician. The supervisor definitely did not care what I was saying because several times I asked him, "Do you hear my concerns or understand my concerns"? Even with me point blank asking him this he did not acknowledge my question. I was stunned by his total lack of attention to the customer. I want nothing to do with ABC and we cancelled our services. In the meantime we are fertilizing our lawn and I'm quite sure we will have good results at a fraction the cost. My impression is that ABC is quite happy to give sub standard service while happily collecting quarterly payments from customers.

I'd give them a really good grade. I trust them. I have them for the whole house and yard for the bugs. I also have them for fertilizing of the yard and stuff like that. It works. I have a contract with them. They are a good company. I have nothing bad to say about them.
Description of Work: They do several things for me. I had flea and tick treatment for lawn and the house.
