A J Warren Service Co

It went pretty well. Had to callthem back 2 or 3 times to fix some things that were nor wired exacrly right. he people that came back were prompt and very knowledgeable and efficient. Day or night when I called they were available. P. S Another recent experience with this co. Came out and diagnosed a power line fuse for three phase system was out. Spent about 30 min at my house andcharged $183.00. I complained but got no satisfaction. Will not use them again. My trust in them is shattered.

I had problems with an AC and I had a company come out, but they told me that I needed a whole new AC because I was under warranty. I called AJ Warren and they just told me that I needed some freon. I also called them another time and they helped me over the phone.

They were GREAT! Always showed up on time, very friendly and really knowledgeable. We no longer have extreme heat on our downstairs and the system is working very well. The company who installed it initially had about 30 service visits to the house and no solutions, and AJ Warren managed to get everything going very quickly!! THANKS!

I was pleased with the work and everything. He had to replace a part. The freezer works fine now but it was a little more than I expected to pay.

This has all made a great difference and I am very happy. The bathrooms are now warm when the weather's cold and the bedroom no longer has stale hot or cold air. Before I also had what I thought was dust everywhere, but it was actually the old ductwork disintegrating - I could see pieces of insulation in the vent grill and wondered how that was happening. Unhealthy, I'm sure. My house is small and the ductwork didn't have very long runs. It took about five or six hours. So, I wasn't a big customer, and I'd already had the rest of the system replaced, but I was treated very nicely. The employees were very neat and careful with their work and also very pleasant. I actually found this company before I joined Angies List - they were at the Berry Center home show when I was on the hunt for another AC company as I hadn't been happy with the three others I'd used. Also, one of them uses the same dentist I do (had on his uniform) and he behaved very nicely when the dentist had been running late. The price for this job was considerably less than what another had quoted me a couple of years earlier and I know the quality of the work was way better than the other guys would have done. I'm glad I found this company.

I'd had problems with this before (and another neighbor has too) as the drain line that connects in the attic would overflow and make a huge mess. But the gentleman from A J Warren explained what was wrong and told me how to fix it with a PVC plumbing fitting that they normally didn't carry on their trucks. (The other guys would say: see you again soon.) The repeated charges to fix it temporarily weren't very high, but it was incredibly aggravating wondering when it would happen again and then moving furniture and cleaning up the soaked mess. So this company's man cleaned it out, cleaned out the backup and other lines, and told me how to fix it easily so he wouldn't be coming back at least once each summer. I think that's very excellent.

We have used them quite often, and they always do a good job. They arrive on time, are honest, and are always respectful of the home.

I am very pleased with their service. They came when the said and had the right equipment with them. There were no delays in getting the problems solved. I was very happy. I didn’t do a lot of shopping for the price but I am very much satisfied with the service.

I asked to have the existing hard-pipe ducts replaced because they were leaking badly, crushed in places, and poorly insulated. Everyone else recommended installing new flexible ducts, but John told me that I should not replace a hard-pipe system if it is already installed but rather repair it. He said that hard pipe is better quality and has less friction than flexible, so I should not get rid of it. While doing the estimate, John temporarily fixed a broken wye, opened a couple closed dampers, and was the only estimator to crawl all the way to the back utility room to see why it was getting no air. He was also the only estimator who didn't try to sell me a new air conditioner. The above items are what won them the business. The crew was friendly, worked quickly, polite, and very professional. The first day they replaced the crushed and broken ducts and sealed them with mastic. They installed a new plenum and moved the duct exits farther to the back of the plenum so that the air would mix better. After the city inspector came the morning of the second day, they wrapped the ducts in R-8 insulation. The workers showed me what they were doing each step of the way. They cleaned up after themselves. They even fixed my admittedly somewhat-rickety attic ladder for free. At the end, they balanced the system and checked temperatures at the ceiling registers. I have only two small gripes. First, the cost of the permit was not included in the estimate, and it wasn't stated that it would be extra. John said this was an oversight, and they had treated me well in everything else, so I trusted him on this one. Second, I thought the air balancing at the end would be a little more sophisticated - the workers adjusted dampers in the attic while I stood under the register to tell them if the room was getting enough air. Then they checked the temperatures and re-adjusted the dampers until they got it the way I wanted it. But it's kind of hard to tell if it's actually enough air or not without some kind of quantitative measurement. They did promise to come back and adjust it for free if it's not right once the cooling season starts. I also think they are more expensive than some others, but the work was definitely high quality and I felt that they were really trying to do a good job for me and not just sell me an expensive air conditioner or services. Overall I would highly recommend them. They will try to provide what is best for you and not necessarily what is most expensive. They will be my permanent HVAC contractor now.

They arrived as scheduled, put booties on to protect carpet and floors. Everything went well until it came time to pay. They refused to accept the coupon. They made some excuse about it being for two checks in one calendar year (Spring and Fall of the same year). This was the winter check. I told the lady who set up the appointment that I would use the coupon that they sent to me. If both check-ups had to be used for the same year, why did they mail the coupons in the Fall? They did finally honor the coupon, but l had to call the owner of he company. After several minutes he reluctantly agreed to honor the coupon. I have not decided whether I will call them for the Spring check.

I bought this house in July 2010. The heating system hadn't been checked because it was summer. I called AJ Warren based on their Angie's List rating. Kyi, the service tech, arrived on time. Very professional in his manner and work. Checked out the heating system. Found the fresh air damper was not operational and had no filter, and the drain pan had no overflow switch. Kyi fixed the fresh air damper and installed a drain overflow switch. I also signed a 1-yr service contract, very reasonable fee. I'll stick with AJ Warren.

Everything went fine in the begining and the quote was for $412.00. The company offered an Angie's List coupon for their $78.00 diagnostic service call which the tech would not honor when it came time to pay the bill. It took me months of phone calls before they sent me a check for the $78.00. If they did not want to give this discount then they should not have offered it. The work they did has held up but I will look for a new contractor when I am ready to get more AC work done.

All the work was done in a timely manner. Very satisfied. This company will be our primary contact for any future HVAC work.

The price was a little high and I thought it was higher than it should have been and was a lot of money for the work. It shouldn't have taken more than 30 minutes for the work. They did identify the problem and fixed it, which I was happy about. They did come the same day I called them. I am going to look somewhere else when I need service because I didn't like the price.

They were right on time and honored my coupon from Angie's list. My only complaint is I asked for a sales rep from the company to call me to discuss buying a new AC unit and I haven't heard from anyone yet.

They were fabulous. The downstairs unit pretty much stopped. He came out and took a look. He told us that we can buy a cheaper motor but that the lennox motor would be better and gave us the price differential between the two. That was great advice. He immediately told us what was going on and we really appreciated the advice and was fabulous. He fixed problems that we had on going for over six years.

I was able to schedule on the day I needed, he arrived on time and went right to work. He recommended adding a quart of freon, and I agreed. Did not take a long time, was courteous and explained what he was doing.

Scheduled a spring A/C checkup. They arrived on time. I am very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of my technician, Kyi. Very respectful, and took time to put on boot coverings, and used my doorbell before entering my home. He had to do some work on one of my furnaces that was under warranty.Took the time to call manufacturer for details of my service agreement. Checked my units very thoroughly. I definitely will use again. I also spoke with a sales person at thier office. He was also very knowledgable, respectful and professional.

You can't beat their service. They remember who you are and they are great. There is nothing they have done for us that isn't wonderful. They are in our home constantly since they take care of all 3 of our units and they are great. I would rate them an "A" on everything and I absolutely plan to continue using them.

They are all around very professional and seemed very honest and ethical. They are a little on a higher end in terms of price, but, their quality of service makes up for it.

I am very satisfied with them. They respond immediately. They will do emergency work if necessary. They return phone calls promptly. The back it up immediately if there are any problems. They are very professional.

The work performed was excellent. The workers were on time, friendly and courteous. The only problem was that the work was estimated to take 1 day, but ended up taking 2 full days plus a few hours on a third day. They also fixed a few problems at no additional cost on my attic units that were installed by another contractor. I highly recommend A. J. Warren for any A/C work. Although the work was pricey, A. J. Warren was less expensive than from other companies.
