"This is my first negative review ever but thought it was worth doing if it saves someone from the experience my wife and I had. Robert with Greentech Builders had asked me to write a review not far into our projects and unfortunately, I did and gave him a good one. We had several remodeling projects with the house we purchased and they started off ok but quickly turned very bad. We had a tub and two toilets replaced and out of three, one toilet and the tub were not installed correctly and leaked through our ceilings. He said he would repaint the areas but never did. An electric gate he installed never worked correctly and he did not come back to correct it. One project was having our kitchen tiled and was left with cracks in areas and not finished with quarter round trim but left with gaps along the cabinets and island. Robert said this wasn't included in the price but we paid probably 10% more than the next quote. In short, he charged us more than some other quotes and most every project turned out to be a mess. He didn't follow up and rarely if ever showed up to oversee his subs. The projects we had should have taken no more than a month or so at best but they drug on for nearly 7 months. We've had several different houses with many different projects but this turned out to be the worst experience we have had. My wife and I were very nice and patient with Robert which might have been one of our mistakes. He took advantage of that. Now I am finishing and correcting many projects that I paid a lot of money to Robert for. Hire Greentech at your own risk. You have been warned."

"I highly recommend Ben and his crew for any home renovation or improvement project. They went above and beyond to deliver an outstanding final product for us. We had two rental properties that needed extensive work, including exterior and interior painting, restoring hardwood floors, installing new tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, and complete bathroom remodels. Throughout the entire process, Ben maintained excellent communication, especially regarding costs, and always ensured that we approved everything before moving forward. There were no hidden costs, and his pricing was more than fair. Ben's crew are highly skilled tradesmen who were able to adapt and problem-solve with our older homes. The final results on both properties were absolutely beautiful. We are a "turn key" remodeling company which means we do most of the work ourselves from beginning to end without having to "sub out" work. We do many things "in house" such as framing, cabinetry installation, painting, minor electrical and plumbing. We staff confident and legal personnel within the Tyler area. Our billing procedures are that we don't collect any money up front for smaller jobs that are usually under $5,000.00 but we do expect payment upon completion. On larger projects our procedure is to get 1/3 upfront, 1/3 half way through the project and the final 1/3 at completion. We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction. We do no advertising other than "word of mouth" from happy customers. It seems we always get 1 or 2 more jobs just by making you happy and you telling your friends and family how good we were. Not advertising helps us to keep costs down and our bidding more competetive which keeps more of your money in your pocket.
