We needed to seriously trim our HUGE old oaks before we could re-roof & wanted to remove 1 old oak that hung over our driveway & cramped another old oak. The team did an excellent job, even accommodating my desire to save a significant stump of the removed tree, to give my cats a natural surface to play on. Because of rain, the stump grinding had to wait a few days. Everything was done professionally, with remains chipped up & removed from our property. Surprisingly, the entire job was completed at a price we anticipated paying merely to remove the 1 tree! Professional trimming is not cheap, but well worth the investment. Well done, J Davis crew! PS- Our next door neighbor uses J Davis also & we now understand why.

I live in a oak tree neighborhood and JDavis has always had an outstanding reputation. Our oak trees were dropping leaves earlier than normal. Billy Davis, Certified Arborist, came out within one day of our calling to look at our 18 trees. He quickly put our minds at ease and then spent considerable time with us walking our property. Billy is knowledgeable and very personable. I highly recommend JDavis. We have had pruning done in the past and they are a professional local company!!

They are great, and I would highly recommend them. The mulch is free because we use them for pruning our trees and stuff, so you can sign up to get the mulch when they clean out the city trees and stuff. They try to dump it as close to where they picked it up. If they don't answer, then they just go to the next person, because they have to get rid of it. I have to use them again, because I have a tree that has to come out. They clean up afterwards, they get here when they say they will and they charge you what they say they will charge.

Everything always going well I have no complaints with them. My rep is Keith, and he is the guy that always comes out, he is very reliable and I enjoy doing business with him.

Excellent service. The trees were trimmed as agreed. They look natural, not like they have been chopped up. Yard was left as it was before they came, no debris.

I called J Davis for an estimate and on April 25 Keith Glenn came and gave us the estimate. The job was to prune our water oak because it was touching our roof at several spots and also was close to touching our next door neighbor's roof. After I confirmed that we wanted his crew to prune the tree, he said they would call to tell us when. One week later they called and said they could be there in 30 minutes. They arrived and were finished within an hour. The work was done very professionally and we are completely satisfied. We will call J Davis for our future tree care needs.

They sent out an arborist to give us our quote. He examined our tree in the front which we wanted to just trim dead branches on. He said that it would look unbalanced with the branches missing and recommended completely removing it. He then estimated the tree in the back for a good trimming. A few days later we had them out to do the job. They took down the tree in front, trimmed the tree in back and removed all debris. They left nothing for garbage to pick up and did a spectacular job cleaning up. The next day a guy arrived and ground down the majority of the stump. He however left the shavings and we are still trying to deal with them to this day, but he did get the majority of the stump. Just a few large roots that were left. The price felt a little high compared to other companies but it was well worth it for them to remove all the trash and clean everything up themselves. An added bonus came later when we were installing a retaining wall and doing some landscaping in the backyard. The arborist came back out to our house and gave us some free advice/observations about the root system of our gigantic tree and how to proceed with our retaining wall.

They did a great job on trimming out the trees and cleaning up afterwards!

Appraisal within 24 hours of calling work done on next available day within the week. Crew was on time and worked well. Only bad point one of he crew commented that I was charged to much and he could have done it cheaper...

I have used J Davis more years than I can remember, more than 14. I have a small front yard with several large trees that I have trimmed every 1-2 years so light can filter through to the grass. I absolutely love their work. They are professional and timely with their services. The trees look amazing, and clean-up leaves the yard looking better than before they came. I have friends comment on how great the trees look.

I've used J Davis for the past 10 years to prune my elm trees in December. When calling to schedule an estimate, the office is very friendly. The representative shows up on time to perform the estimate. They always listen to what your expectations are. Their crew is always very professional also. The trees are always pruned to my satisfaction. They always do a great job!! They thoroughly clean up all leaves and branches. It doesn't even look anyone was there to trim my trees!

The company was quick to come out for an estimate. The arborist was very personable, answered all our questions, and was happy to share his knowledge with us. The company showed up to do the work on time on the agreed upon date. The workers were here the whole day and took care of everything we agreed upon in a professional and courteous manner. After completing the work, they asked us to do a walk around and make sure we were happy with their work. I asked them to take a few additional limbs off the crepe myrtles and they took care of it. They have a guarantee on satisfaction of their work, and we were happy with the work they completed for us. I would not hesitate to use this company in the future.

We called and requested an estimate to trim 3 large trees in the front and back yard of a rent house we own. They arrived at the apointment time. Contacted us when they had assessed the scope of the job, and gave us a price. We felt the price was fair so we hired them. Since we don't live there, we didn't know when they arrived. We spoke to our tenants and was told they arrived, got to work, trimmed the trees, cleamed up what they had trimmed and hauled it off. We were very happy with the work they performed and will use them again when needed.

The service tech came on Nov 27th to look at the details of the job. He was timely, polite and very knowledgable. He was able to schedule it for the next day. I came home from work to beautifully trimmed trees and a very clean property. They returned on Nov 29th as promised and did the stump grinding. I was impressed with the work and the level of professionalism . The customer servive was outstanding and I believe quite rare in this day and time. I would definitely use this company again as well as recommend them to friends.

J Davis is the only tree service I have ever used. No sense in looking elsewhere seeing as how they do such a great job each and every time. I called for estimate. Arborist, Justin Davis, came out the next day to evaluate and give an estimate. Team came out two days later to perform the trimming. As always their trimming and clean up were meticulous. The crew is courteous and professional.

I have used J. Davis Tree Service for about 18 years. I have always been very happy with the service, and this time was no exception. There are a few things that I like about J. Davis: they have certified arborists on staff; they train their teams well; they are safety conscious; they are honest. The first time that I contacted J. Davis the arborist came out and looked at all my young trees and told me that I did not need to have any work done at that time. It was a few years before the trees were mature enough to need maintenance pruning. J. Davis came out whenever I requested, at no charge, and have always been honest and straightforward about the work needed or not needed. This is one of the main reasons that I continue to use this company. Earlier this year I knew that I needed maintenance pruning on my trees, so I called J. Davis. Billy Davis came to my property to look at the trees and discuss the work to be done. He prepared the work order and scheduled the crew. Since I have my tree work done in the winter the crew is usually here within a few days to a week of the initial site visit. The crew, as always, was on time. They arrived with the large truck that tows the industrial chipper/shredder. All of the crew is very well trained, many have worked for J. Davis for several years, a few have been around for at least the 18 years that I have used the company's services. The crew supervisors that I have spoken with really know trees, and have been helpful with suggestions for pruning my shrubs, which I usually do myself. I found it interesting that J. Davis does not use a 'bucket' to lift personnel into the trees, rather, the team climbs into the trees using harnesses. The method allows access to the interior of the largest trees and simplifies trimming of deadwood and opening the canopy. The entire job was done in one day. The team always leaves my property clean and tidy, chipping all of the cuttings and hauling everything off. This year I asked that they leave the chipped material, which I used to mulch shaded areas of my yard where grass does not grow. Since I had so much work done this year, I was offered a time payment plan, no interest, and opted to make payments over a 6 month period. As a side note: J. Davis does have a minimum charge for a full crew with the chipper (my work almost always more than covers the minimum). In the past I have coordinated with neighbors so that they can have 'small' work done without having to pay the minimum charge. J. Davis has been very receptive to neighborhood tree work, taking care of several homes in my area over a one or two day period.

Not only did he do an excellent job of trimming all the trees, he removed all the trimmed branches as well as all the twigs that had collected on my roof prior to the trim. He even removed some small branches I'd previously cut and put in a refuse area in my back yard. This is the 3rd time I've used this company and the work and service level has been outstanding every time.

They are always so nice and clean up after themselves very well. I have used them several times and they always do a wonderful job.

I thought he was pretty good. He might be a little high. I had no problem with his work. I think his price was probably fair like anybody else. He actually made me bid on some additional work and that was a little expensive. I think I probably got my money's worth. He did do a good job and he cleaned up well. I would recommend him. I think what he did is very reasonable. His bid was a bit expensive. All in all I think I would recommend him. I know people do this type of work just for the bid because there is lots of equipment involved and it's a dangerous work too. He did exactly what he said he would do. He cleaned up after himself well. I have no complaints. The price was okay with me for what he did. The quality of work was exceptional. He got right out here and did the work. He was really very professional. The gentleman, who was in charge of it, came out and he handled himself well. He knew exactly what I wanted and he delivered. I had another tree service I called but this guy was professional. This guy came out and did a real good job. He didn't actually rob me. He did everything he told me and he did it well, promptly. He has names all over the place. He is very professional in what he does. I would say that he did a very good job. As far as the topper work he did, I had no problem. He was excellent.

The service was great. I have never had any problems with them in over 40 years I have been using them. They do excellent clean up. I called them at 11am and they were here at 1:30pm.

The job was performed with astonishing skill and precision. The tree was located in close proximity to two neighboring home, and was felled precisely to the only ground location where safety considerations permitted. Subsequent cutting operations and clearing of the debris was accomplished quickly with fine teamwork. A big job well done!

They did a good job and I recommend their services. I like them a lot and will use the same in future.

The Bradford pear was 40 feet high, but they did an excellent job. The people who came to work were very experienced and expert. They were professional and it was obvious that they had done this before. They were very quick to get the tree down and took away all the wood, branches, and leaves out of here. They came back couple of days later with a machine to grind the stump out. Their price was fair for what they did. We absolutely had no complaints. They were just amazing. I would definitely use their service in the future.
