Description of Work: We received a bid which was way over market average of other bids we received. Decided to go with another company. They were prompt to respond to request for a bid. However, the wife of owner came to house and took notes, etc. and I did not feel she understood what we needed. After receiving the bid it was obvious she did not understand at all. Their pricing was over 3 times our other 2 bids.

Description of Work: Great work and anything needing rework done asap.

Description of Work: They were professional and communication was good. However, they bid $250k for a plain-jane, very low end 1500 sq. ft. house on pier and beam. That means no foundation, no brick and base quality materials. | |$166.00/sq ft. for that? Really? No thank you.

Description of Work: Demolished old porch length of house. Built new covered porch full length of house, multi-level. Replaced significant damaged siding and facia. Painted.

Description of Work: They contacted me by phone, gave a general estimate of demolition, and said they would call later in the week to come out to my house for a true |estimate. I never heard back from them after that. Bad business etiquette. I will not recommend them. I will find someone more professional to do the work.

Description of Work: We haven't actually had the owner, Robert "Bob" out yet to do our home repairs. With both of us having busy schedules this month, we are in the process of setting up an appointment for him to come and give us an estimate. |I'm providing a review at this time just to say that so far he has been very responsive to my emails. |Angie's List showed the list of counties that his company services. The county where we live was not one of them. We are about 30 miles away from the nearest county they service, and their office is located an hour away from our home. With this being the case, I was concerned that he wouldn't be able to help us. But I had read all the prior customer reviews on Angie's List, checked BBB, and looked at his company website. I was very impressed with what I saw, along with his years of experience, so I took a chance and emailed him to see if he would be willing to work with us even though we were outside his servicing area. He took the time late that evening after just arriving home from a job site to respond to my email stating he would be happy to accommodate us. This of course, made me very happy and once again impressed. |As previously mentioned, we are in the process of scheduling an appt. for him to come give us an estimate. |In reading the customer reviews on Angie's List I noticed some mentioned that he was a little "pricey" for the work that he did. I hope this isn't the case with us, and we are able to use his services. |I like the fact that they are a family owned business, he has many years of construction experience, they offer a wide variety of services (big or small), and he's been very proactive with me so far.

Description of Work: Bob would be my first choice on any/all improvements. He never exceeded our budget. His suggestions were creative and often simple.

Description of Work: I called Bob in to take a look at removing a structural wall in our house. He showed up on time and took an extensive look around. I told him that I needed an estimate on costs and everything and then we would be able to determine a start time. That was early March 2014. Now, 4-8-14, I have yet to receive that estimate. I have talked to him one other time and he told me that he was working on it. Yet no response.

Description of Work: They were able to help me estimate costs of repairs for my prospective home in a very timely manner. With their help, I was able to make an educated decision.

Description of Work: we added a two car garage.Bob drew up the plans, got the permit,removed the old siding,framed walls put trusses in placed installed plywood to roof and sides, installed windows,doors,framed garage dooropening, Reinstalled old siding to front,and masinite to back. Put roofing shingles and totally cleaned up.

Description of Work: Robert helped do a number of jobs at my home. They included putting in new countertops, refacing cabinets, painting, crown moulding, laminate flooring, hanging closet doors, screen doors, and putting in new windows. This service date is in reference to the flooring and windows only.

Description of Work: I had some water damage from a busted pipe in two bathrooms.Bob came in and did the entire job from demo to the final paint and clean up. I have used other contractors before and felt like they were not completely honest with the work that needed to be done. Bob really spent the extra time to do the best job for the best price. Anytime the job was going to cause any extra expense he was very honest and let me know as soon as possible. It was obvious he had done this for a long time. He also left the bathrooms exceptionally clean. Most contractors I have used in the past left a mess after they were done. This was NOT the case with Bob. A great job++++

Description of Work: They replaced cabinets, flooring, ceiling lights and and new tile backsplash. They helped us to do our own demo so we could save demo cost. They showed us hoew to do grouting and even finished it when we found it was more then we thought to do.
