Response from Diamond Quality Services
Really, being kicked out of a house? I have never been run out of a house for offering the homeowner, a friend, or business contact the respect he or she deserves in his or her own home. Actually, I am embarrassed for the member to make such an erroneous statement as this! In addition, it has nearly been a year since being at the members home. Fortunately we take pictures and document what we find and the recommendations we make. A brief description upon initial inspection of this members heating and air conditioning system, we found the return air intake had been sealed off. The return air is critical for the operation of the heating and cooling system. No return air coming into the system means no warm or cool air being sent to the rooms in the home. I explained to the member his problem and that we could not complete the tune up based on the condition of the system. Furthermore, I offered to cut out the return or he could save the money and do it himself if in the event he was comfortable doing home projects. I explained that reopening the return air at the closet opening is the only choice for the system in the current location due to the proximity of the bathroom behind and beside the system. I explained that the inlet in the front only, would not allow the manufacturers recommended airflow through the system, but would work far better than what the member had at the time. Also, I went into the attic to see if there was enough room to relocate the system into the attic. Many times this is not a viable option, but in this case it turned out to be a viable option. I explained to the member that the current system was not set up for a horizontal installation so replacing the furnace and coil would be needed to relocate the system for proper installation. I also explained that if the current system works he may want to wait until it fails before investing the money in a new system. At no time during my visit was the member confrontational or adversarial. In fact, at Diamond Quality Services we do not pressure, only educate the consumer on the options available to them, make our recommendations and leave the decisions whether anything be done, up to each customer we serve. Any time we perform service it is based on the member/customer understanding the value of service(s) provided for what the member employs us to do. Simply stated, when you call us we are clear and concise, we document our findings and share the information, good or bad, with each member we serve. It would be great if all news was good news but unfortunately that is not always the case. In spite of this members outlandish comments we will continue to build our company honestly and provide each member and customer with Service Beyond Expectation.
