Description of Work: A number of years ago I bought an air conditioner and furnace from this business. Several warranty issues arose and all were corrected quickly. This time it was not warranty but my air conditioner failed on a very warm night. The owner himself said he would work me in and showed up by about 3:00pm and got it fixed. About an hour later we noted the unit was not working as well as it should. Called the owner. He said he would be back by about 7:30 pm. He did find the newer problem and we were back in a nice cool house that evening.

Description of Work: I explained during phone call to Peggi that I needed technician ASAP (as soon as possible) to repair a serious leak from my inside unit. Peggi confirmed that technician would call me about 1 hour before arriving. Technician called me around 9 PM to confirm his pending arrival, but I never heard from him after that. The next morning Peggi called me to tell me technician (Scott) worked until after midnight the night before and it would be Monday before he could get to me. I told Peggi that was not satisfactory because of the leak. I then called another company, they arrived within 30 minutes and fixed the problem.

However there was an appointment last week we were unable to accommodate during the time you suggested. We understand your frustration and thank you for taking the time to express your view. It is unfortunate that we missed an opportunity to serve you due to the scheduling conflict and availability issue beyond the scope of what we would typically encounter on a given day. Obviously there was a break in communication as well as the technician being stuck on the call until midnight in Dallas, unable to accommodate your request by 9pm. Description of Work: They were several hours late although we had received a call saying they were running late. However, it was after 8:00 pm when they arrived. They replaced a part for $198 but did not show us the part. They showed a picture which they said was our blown capacitor. I realize it was very hot in our attic and I felt badly about that. However, at the time we placed our order for the Angie's List special ($49) our air conditioning was still working. We purchased the special offer because the a/c was dripping water from our attic via a pipe designed for a/c overflow. By the time they arrived, the air conditioning was no longer working. Peggy was the person that we dealt with and she kept us informed about the creeping delay. However I am frustrated that it took until evening for them to arrive. Perhaps if they had come at the time originally scheduled, our a/c would not have blown an expensive part. By the time the a/c stopped working it was too late to try to find another repair company.

Dear member, We keep very detailed notes and pictures which are time and date stamped as well as time lines through our CRM. On the evening of the original appointment 6/5/15 our technicians arrived to check/clear the condensate hub because when the appointment was scheduled this was the issue you had contacted us about. You had contacted us again a few hours prior to the appointment to let us know that your ac had just stopped working. When our technicians arrived to the appointment that evening (around 5:30pm) the first issue handled was to have the system operational. A blown capacitor on the outside unit was found to be the issue and was replaced. We have time dated pictures on file. The capacitor was replaced under your authorization, after which your ac system began to function as normal and was cooling your home properly. We know this because our technician stayed a few extra minutes to make sure. Also, at the original appointment the condensate drain line and drain pan both were checked/inspected. There was no clogging in the condensate line to be found and the drain pan was also dry. Again we retain in our files time-stamped/dated pictures of these details taken of the part replaced as well as of the drain pan from the service call appointment. The member called a few days later to let us know that the drain was found to be leaking again. An owner from our company (Scott Peterson) followed up and blew out the condensate line again and checked the pan. The next day: Friday June 12th, Scott received a message from our dispatch that the members condensate line was leaking again and that the member said that she has water in both sinks. Scott then called and spoke to the member about her issue with water in the sinks and based on their conversation, instructed the member that she has need for a plumber to unclog the sinks in order to obtain proper draining of the condensate. The issue was not the condensate line but rather clogged sink drains. So based on the members own description of the problem and the details from the two prior service appointments, the actual drain issue was clearly recognized as a plumbing issue rather than a condensate line clogging problem. Diamond Quality Services addressed the members issue(s) and or problem thoroughly on each occasion, repaired the members ac system on the first/original appointment to have the system functioning normally again and cooling the home properly, cleared/inspected the condensate line (twice), inspected the drain pan (it was dry) and made technically detailed notations and professional recommendations each time we were contacted by the member. A plumbing issue beyond the fixture (for example bathroom sink plumbing) would be considered beyond the control of the contractor since we are not plumbers by trade nor do we operate or claim to be a plumbing company. We were happy to assist the member with their ac system issue and happy to have had the opportunity to repair it to normal operating status and have the home cooling properly once again at the original appointment. All repairs were made under the authorization of the member. On our end, all details and communication with this member are well documented. That being the case with all the facts mentioned above in our response to this member, the member as well as everyone else reading the members review should be aware that the member was never charged for any drain clearing and or unclogging of the condensate line. What the member paid for with regard to what the member reports in their review is a diagnostic special we offer and for the capacitor we replaced in the original appointment to repair their system to proper functioning capacity. Even still. We wish the member well and understand she wants to go elsewhere to try and find a better service in the future. That is ok. Description of Work: They were very late. They replaced a $200 part and did not show us the part, only a picture on their phone of what the blown capacitor looked like. If they took it out of the a/c and took it away with them. Why show us only a picture. At the time, I was very hot and tired having been without a/c for several hours. If they had come when scheduled, the a/c was still working at that time. What started out as a dripping overflow drain onto the patio turned into a blown capacitor 7 or 8 hours later.

Went fine besides the snafu.
Description of Work: Bought deal for AC tune up to prepare for Texas summer and avoid emergency service. Tech came out and did his work. As soon as he left the AC started blowing hot air. I called multiple times to get a tech back no one answered. Update: tech was reached and came back out to fix problem. Still not thrilled with the response time. Changed rating to reflect new information.

Dear member, We appreciate the revision you said you made in your review. Our technician was prompt and as well contacted your tenant approximately 20 minutes ahead of time prior to the original tune up appointment. Our technician was professional in the way of handling the tune up service call from beginning to end as well as handling communications between the tenant and himself for the return to your rental property the same day. It's unfortunate you had this experience with your rental property. On the first or original trip to your house this last Friday afternoon 6/19 our technician (after checking inside and outside units and running diagnostics) found the HVAC system working properly within manufacturer specifications. Proper diagnostics were also recorded as well as notes from our technician to CRM. Approximately two hours after our technician departed from the original appointment and was across town in Dallas your tenant reached out to him and had left a voicemail regarding the situation of the condensing unit outside losing power which would cause the scenario you described in your review. Our technician promptly returned the voicemail left by your tenant and when calling back our technician reached the tenant. Our technician let the tenant know the he received the voicemail from the tenant and that he could be back on site shortly within approximately 20 or so minutes. Your tenant then called our technician again at which time they had a phone conversation confirming the return to investigate the problem. Your tenant and our technician were both polite and respectful of one another. Our technician was about 20/30 minutes away at that time and made your tenant aware of his approximate arrival time. When our technician arrived back at your rental property and after inspecting found it was a switch on the condenser which had tripped and was then reset by the technician. We appreciate the revision you stated you made in your review and it's unfortunate this would have you search elsewhere for future service. We understand and wish you all the best. Description of Work: This is the second time we have used Diamond Quality Services. Our previous experience was excellent. This time my husband requested a service call to evaluate an air conditioning unit which had ceased to function properly. Within an hour or two the office called to ask whether Scott, the owner, could come by in a half an hour or so. He arrived punctually and proceeded, in a very courteous and competent manner, to diagnose the problem. He then replaced a capacitor chip and the engine that starts the fan on the external unit. The repair was taken care of that afternoon and the unit has been functioning properly since. Having had numerous bad experiences with other air conditioning companies, I will not hesitate to call Diamond Quality again.

Description of Work: They came out for annual maintenance on our 3 units. These guys were through, clean, polite, they had to leave and come back to finish.
