The technicians were very courteous, and helped me figure out how my HVAC system was set up. Unfortunately, when the unit failed to work the next time I needed it, the office was unresponsive to my calls for additional service. That is the only reason I am giving them "C's across the board.
Description of Work: Compressor would not come on. They replaced the capacitor. Got it to work while they were here, but next time I needed to use the A/C, it did not work.

We are an attentive company and care about each client member we serve and even still there are times when any detail oriented and or client focused company might miss a call in the same manner as it could happen to anyone. Missing multiple calls on our end is difficult to accept based on the documentation we keep on our contact(s) with customers throughout the entire process of providing services to our customers. We have no record of receiving a call or calls from this member after the original appointment where our technicians managed to get the members older AC system working again, nor do we have a/any deleted messages in our system phone log from this member whereby the member left any detailed messages attempting to have us back out to her home the next occasion the member said their system failed to operate. We do have a record of the initial call and detailed notes of the service performed and detailed notes of the communication from the technician to the member. We, Diamond Quality Services are attentive to our client member needs. Is it possible we made a mistake regarding a phone call, yes. Is it possible the member made an additional call for additional service, yes, but we do not understand how or why we would not have received the message. (Unless) Is it possible to make a dialing error, is it possible the call was from a cell phone and the signal was lost or interrupted during the attempt to leave us a message. With the technology we all have available to us today what we do know is that there are still imperfections at times in those systems and in the use thereof. We are still awaiting payment for the original service repair that the member approved. The owner's son came out to see why my unit stopped cooling. They had coupons advertised and he worked with me to make sure I chose the right one for the service I ended up needing. This was so nice of him because he spent time diagnosing the problem first! Service oriented businesses never do that! And he actually spent an extra 15 min explaining how I could avoid the problem in the future. When I first saw him, I was worried about how young he looked. But he was a true professional, and he took pride in the work he did. He was also so compassionate, because I asked him about an unrelated problem on his way out, and he stopped to fix that too! This company has my loyalty and especially the owner's son!

Member, your transcribed review of the professional service you received on (October 21, 2015) in fact does misrepresent the service you (actually received) from our company. Why we know this is because our technician(s) made the time to capture details, pictures and take/make notation of the conversations having taken place on site that day which then became available to us when departing from your home and prior to heading on to the following service call. Our response is based on real time notes, on-site pictures and details provided us by our technician(s) and will shine the light on the (actual service) which took place inside and outside of your home for the air-conditioning tuneup back in October. Below are details extracted from the technical notes based on service diagnostics, job pictures and member/client discussion about needed repairs and maintenance. 1. Our technician recommended replacing a capacitor which tested much weaker than manufacturer specification and explained why it's important for this component to function properly and after having discussion with the member, this member instead said they will go somewhere else to buy the part and install it themselves. 2. Our technician, while performing the tune up for this member also found air filters laden with debris, in need of replacement. Our technician(s)recommended replacing the air filters and had this discussion with the member as well. Our technician(s) found no other problems while diagnosing the system that day, neither inside or outside including but not limited to refrigerant diagnostics. Our technician(s) let the member know this as well prior to wrapping up and moving forward to the next service call. Realistically, there was nothing more that our technician(s) could have remotely procured for this member while on site that day because, this member chose to do the rest of it all by-self. We hope the member was able to properly purchase and install the parts by-self, as the parts recommended by our technician were desperately needed at that time. It's fair to say we appreciate the member for acknowledging our technician(s) are good and we agree but, what is not right is the amount of information the member did not share in the review while essentially misguiding or double talking everyone else engaged with interpreting it. Just as we have stated in many other reviews over the years, our technicians while on site make detailed notes and take pictures related to diagnostics representative of the job. These details are saved within our CRM and remain very important because it allows us to better care for each client we are fortunate enough to serve. Replaced the heating unit in the attic that had been there since 1979 and the AC unit outside. Arrived early in the morning and worked and finished up around 10 PM. They are a great group of people to work with.

It went great. The called within 12 hours of my purchase and scheduled for a time that worked for both of us. The tech was on time, checked everything out in about an hour.
Description of Work: Serviced my furnace as requested and discussed additional work. He also instructed me on how to change the filter (new furnace, couldn't find the filter) after the furnace actually pulled the old filter up into the coil.

Purchased deal and the company responded the next day with a date and time for services. I agreed and took off work to be home for services. The technician did not show up and did not call to say they would not be here. I called Diamond Quality Services two hours after the appointment time and was told that the technician should be here. I know they should be here but they are not. They then rescheduled me for the following week. I took the afternoon off work again. To my surprise, once again no one showed up or even called to tell me they would not be able to make it. I called Diamond Quality Services the next day to be told that it was the technicians fault the first time because they did not look at their schedule. My question was did he make it to his other appointments because if he did then I know he look at his schedule. They then told me the reason that they did not show up the second time was because he forgot to schedule it. I would think that after the first mistake they would have insured that it would not happen again. Company pushed blame off on to technician. Take responsibility for your actions. I would not recommend this company and will never attempt to use them again.

Member, Yes, this was our fault. Yes, we did make a couple of scheduling mistakes with you and missed two appointments. However, the additional comments the member has made are a gross misrepresentation of what occurred; are this members assumptions inflicted without care for accuracy and do not formulate a truthful assessment of what led to the mistakes we made. Generally and by precept an individual seeking the truth wants and cares enough about the information leading to a mistake so they can entirely understand it. We will provide remaining detail so that anyone else can or would be able to make their own judgement based on the much larger picture, including our own documentation, rather than the bits and pieces provided by the member who in our view vindictively reaches out more to do additional harm, together without accurately representing or formulating a truthful assessment of what led to our failure to make it to both appointments. We were contacted through Angie's List when the member purchased an offer on our storefront and we responded the same day (Dec 11) offering the 14th at 2 pm to perform the work. The member responded on the 14th stating he was sorry for the late response stating any day would work and left a phone number for further communication. We called the member and offered (the 15th) at 9 am and the member then asked for Thursday so his father could be there because he was working. We asked if 3 pm was ok and he agreed. We then went to Angie's List and noted the message stating we will see your father at 3pm on Thursday. The member called at approximately 420 on the 17th asking if we were still coming. We contacted the technician and he said he was unaware he had a call on the 17th (this was the 17th at about 430) and said we had told him the scheduled work was moved to Monday. We clarified the specific job scheduled for 4 hours with multiple technicians had been transitioned and, no other calls were addressed. Our mistake. The technician then assessed the information was accurate. The issue was addressed internally. This was our problem - not the members. Additionally, we also spoke with the member on the morning of 12/22 and, was prior to the members review on Angie's List. The member stated on that call that it is our problem an employee did not show up for work. We explained we were not shifting blame only providing the member detail on our failure to deliver on a scheduled appointment. The second appointment, which we scheduled when we called the member back on the 17th, was a data-driven calendar error. We entered the new date in our Dispatch Calendar while on the phone with the member. What we did not know at the time, that we now know, is that when the Dispatch software updates the schedule it refreshes data from all existing work orders. That means our reschedule for Monday was deleted by software and reinstalled on the Thursday date and time we had already missed. This has not happened before so, it appears to be a software update change that was not considered an "important enough update" for the software developers to notify the end users of the change. Either way, our mistake. Even though we did not know this at the time of the members call yesterday morning on 12/22/15 we owned the error. The member stated he had missed two days of pay and he had prepaid for the furnace tune up. We asked what we could do to make it right? He said I want my money back and that he would be putting a review on Angie's List. We explained to contact Angie's List for the refund where purchase by the member originated. A few minutes later we received email notification the refund was generated to the member. After investigating how this could have happened we identified the occurrence. We then called the member back and explained how the appointment was deleted and reset to the original date. We also extended a free service call or tune up to the member for future use if interested. He said thanks but also stated that he hoped this didn't happen to more customers. We stated it should not since we now understand how this actually occurred. The member hung up and several hours later posted a review including inaccuracies and misrepresentations. A simple statement saying we failed to follow through twice would be accurate and we would absolutely agree with. However, the additional information was intended to do collateral harm and is simply wrong. When I signed up with Angie's List for the $69.00 credit, they were very prompt in responding. Scheduled an estimate date and time right away. Cale showed up right on time and explained everything they would do in detail and gave us a written proposal. We then scheduled a service date and Mike was prompt and on time to complete the service. He was very professional, neat, and cleaned everything up when done.
Description of Work: Cleaned and vacuumed all supply and return ducts. Wiped clean all grills with hand towels. Deodorized all boots and return box.

This was a $79 big deal purchase. I was not particularly pleased with them because I had to bring someone else out here not more than a few months after that. The other company ended up putting a lot more Freon in the deal and I felt more comfortable with them. It was a fair price for what they did, if they did it. I am not they even did anything. I actually had to wait a long time for them to come out here because they canceled. Then they had to reschedule. It took them a week to get out here. When they finally did agree they showed up when they were supposed to. They were professional.

The most telling statement by this member in his telephone transcribed review: "the other company ended up putting a lot more freon in the deal so I felt more comfortable with that". This member in his review, theorizing and busy trying to pull the wool over everyones eyes betrays himself, yet the truth is officially framed albeit canvassed with smoke and mirrors. To begin: The member has two systems. One was cooling part of the home and one was struggling to cool another part of the home. We, Diamond Quality Services kept the rescheduled appointment, properly tuned both systems and provided professional, punctual and, responsive service to the member. We can imagine it highly possible the system in question had a less noticeable leak at the time although may have worsened increasingly as the system worked much harder in the sweltering temperatures as the summer months rolled on. That said, the member may have ignored this possibility months ago but either way chose, proceeded to purge another company of (a lot) more freon in the deal and to mangle us later in his review. Normally with underlying issues such as the one described by the member it becomes clear to someone a system leaks out enough refrigerant (over a few months time) eventually not cooling a section of the home properly. Rather than communicate the issue back to us and continue working with a professional and punctual (as noted by the member) company to expose the leak through accurate testing and diagnostics and have serviced a real problem, this member instead chose, and in his review said, he "had" to bring someone else out with a lot more freon in the deal feeling more comfortable with that, at the same time working to cast doubt inside a public forum (months later) as to whether we actually did anything. The member said "it was a fair price for what they did, if they did it. I am not (?) they even did anything".. When systems require additional freon such as this there is normally a desire or need for an accurate leak test analysis. This analysis consumes a fair amount of time, as well as can include freon replacement, possible repair or component replacement to bring a system back within manufacturer specifications. By the members testimony it would appear the underlying issue driving the member is free freon product vs a quality and professional service provider, exposed within the review above, after a period of 6 months, through a telephone review drive. Once the member used up our free product (free to the member) he moved on to someone else where he could obtain (a lot) more. Furthermore the member failed to detail events leading to the original appointment rescheduling, he brought up in his review. We, Diamond Quality Services, due to distance to member and full scheduling requested a change in time of service while yet ensuring the member could take advantage of the deal purchased which included a free pound of freon if needed. Again, based on the commentary in the review this outreach did not seem to matter to the member - but rather shows the attitude behind the members own conflicting mechanical issue. Even yet more outstanding is the member telling everyone he did it again a few months later to someone else. In the review it does not appear the member is looking for a professional service provider or even looking to repair a real problem with his HVAC system(s) - but seemingly concerns himself only with what he knows he needs and is comfortable so long as (a lot) more of it is in the deal. In reality, each time this member obtains (a lot) more freon in the deal from one company and then the next, it only increases cost to everyone, it buys the member a little more time on what appears would be a much needed leak test or possible repair but does nothing to enhance a quality relationship with anybody.. hence in the process and solely with his mousetrap this member intentionally sought to disparage Diamond Quality Services, who in the words of the member serviced him professionally and punctually. Not once since our original appointment 6 or so months ago did the member reach out to us for additional service to professionally diagnose and or recommend a solution. What we know now is the member wanted our company for the freon on the deal. Thats ok - a deal is a deal. But what we don't do is add freon without first establishing a need for it through accurate diagnostics. This is required, but nevertheless is a plain good business practice. The evidence above was made perfectly clear in the members transcribed review of our professional and punctual visit back on June 12th, 2015 and now shared throughout the IOT. Last: There was no mistake in rescheduling the first visit with this member. Nevertheless, according to the members entangled speculation, had we, would not have changed the outcome with the member trying to cover, together with intent to disparage our professional service company at the same time. SO happy to find a service that actually inspects and adjusts the system I have. Up till now I had been having nightmares as one heating service company after another charged me to come to the house, then, instead of dealing with my complaint--the furnace made a funny sound when it came on--they tried to hard-sell me a brand new system. ONLY Diamond sent technicians who inspected the system, then adjusted it so that it ran the way it was supposed to. Will never again call anyone else for my heating/AC needs!

The serviceman was prompt and polite. A few weeks later when we used the furnace for the first time, the thermostat was not functioning properly. We called and the gentleman came out and spent over two hours working on the thermostat at no extra charge. Great service

Initial appointment was rescheduled by Diamond, but only an hour an a half later then originally scheduled. Scott arrived and was very polite and professional. He quickly determined the issue but indicated the replacement part was not available and would have to return the next day. He returned the next day with part and installed it. While it was an easy fix and an inexpensive part, the cost was some what justified by the fact he had to go purchase the part from another vendor. I have an aging AC/Furnace which has had intermittent issues in the past. Scott's professionalism impressed me and I would recommend him to others and plan on making him my first call on AC/Furnace issues in the future. Thank you Scott!
Description of Work: Inspected the furnace and diagnosed an issue with the limit switch. Next day returned with a replacement limit switch and installed.

When they showed up, they said I had a small leak somewhere and everything was fine. They said it would probably take about 2 years before it would leak out and they didn't need to do anything more. They fixed the problem for the immediate deal and when I spoke to him on the phone asking him why it was leaking, he said it would take multiple hours. He added that he couldn't do it that moment and would have to come back for another service call. He seemed to be doing minimal work for what he was paid for and his service only lasted me a month. A month later, we had the same problem and we ended up calling a different company to fix the Freon leak which was very visible. We haven't had any problem since then.

The technician arrived on time and proceeded to carried out inspecting the AC equipment at the attic. He then went to inspect the compressor and determined the unit was low on freon and also recommended to hose clean the compressor. He end up adding one pound of freon and hosed clean the compressor unit. I thought the hosing clean of the compressor for $ 80 was excessive (took less then 15 min) and the one pound of freon for $75 was also excessive.

Dear Member, Neither were excessive. Both were necessary. The member agreed to both before complaining about either. It was $50 for the 1 pound of refrigerant 410a. It was $115 to completely dismantle, thoroughly clean and reassemble the condensing coil. The invoice number was 151189. And the date of service was 8/11/15. The member needed their system properly cooling again while the technician was on site. One of the company owners (Scott) was the technician on this call and, he like our technicians, would have verified with member "ok with price" before proceeding to administer repairs. The base line here is that after our company arrived on site in a professional manner along with the proper tools and knowledge, diagnosed and recommended a solution to the member, the member agreed to the price and enjoyed a properly operating system all summer long with no additional surprises, and only complained about the price months later. The member is free to use another company or the other guys to try and get a cheaper price in the future but we will stand by our price for the administered repairs either way. We know our price is what it is to remain in business and, while we know our price is fair, even still, we may not always meet or exceed someone's expectations when it comes strictly to price. We would like to control price from all of the 3rd party entities that we must do business with to stay in business but many of which we have no control over. I.e. The gas pump, the insurance company, the advertisers. The question on price also should reveal the quality and professionalism received at said price. This would seem prudent in this instance and would beg the question whether the member considered these additional factors to the grade specified in price. What is clear is the member chose to have us provide basic services due to our professionalism, punctuality, quality and responsiveness. Hence, this plays a role in price. We document our diagnostics, detail our notes, make recommendations and offer solutions based on our findings. Our clients get to make the decisions and this member chose to have the work done on this day based on the information our diagnostics and technical experience were able to provide. Michelle in dispatch is friendly, courteous, and anxious to help you get an appointment set for service as quickly as possible. She makes a great first impression for the company. Cale performed quality maintenance on both my air and heating units. He is professional, courteous, and friendly. He takes time to explained any questions you may have. The fan on the thermostat kept running after the air was turned off Sunday morning for another couple of hours. The initial check was just on the heater but when they came and turned the heat on the fan ran and would take a few minutes to cut off and was not kicking the heater on. So they went and picked up a thermostat and replaced it. They were professional, courteous and even early for their appointment.
Description of Work: Checked the gas furnace and replaced the thermostat as the thermostat was not working properly.

Best contractor I have ever dealt with. He was able to explain the issues and solutions effectively and worked with me to determine the right path for me.
Description of Work: Arrived as scheduled and diagnosed leaking evaporator coil. Came up with a short and long term solution to meet my needs. Also diagnosed an unrelated issue with installation of spray foam in the attic and provided information about option to resolve that issue.
